Slight correction for Lyney's talent - I missed that the +2 DMG effect only triggers once a round, so it will only go to 8 DMG total, not 10 and not enough for an FTK off of 6 dice. This honestly makes more sense otherwise it would be completely broken. Still makes him quite threatening as a solo character though.
I love how you set up your content and even the minor details of using each characters theme when you talk about them is so well done. You explain in such an easy to understand way and if there were more people invested in genshin tcg, you would have so many more subscribers for sure

I'd love (maybe a series or a few videos) where you pick a character and you show us how you would go about building a deck around them and what other characters or monsters you'd pair them with. Seeing the pieces come together could be super instructive.
Yes!! I definitely think so and the next TCG101 is likely going to be something along those lines - if it wasn't for this giant patch I probably would have gotten to it haha. Great idea though for using a character as an example, thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you!! I think Dehya is a more defensive option whereas Lyney TM both like to be aggressive, especially in double pyro. Bennett is definitely better for that deck.

I’ll probably give the alhaitham deck a go, I spent so much time trying to come up with my own deck ideas for the monster cards that I don’t really care anymore lol, plus alhaitham has been a pain to deal with so I want be the pain now
For sure! A good way is to start from abother list but then adjust things that don't fit with how you like to play. Over time you'll get better at deckbuilding just as you play with cards more
Had the exact same thought but she is very squishy. She can't protect herself and you want to build to her burst before you use someone else. I thought her talent card would be really good but it's hard to find teams that can make use of it.
You could definitely try her out in a full stall deck, but if you are thinking of using her talent, most stall decks want to be double hydro or geo since the resonances are so powerful so you'll be trading that for the talent effect - which I don't think is worth it
I have had so much fun with Alhaitham. I play him with Raiden and Beidou and basically his sword, the Inazuma special card and gamblers. The goal is to get raidens burst, give Beidou and Alhaitham the energy. Burst with Beidou then switcn to Alhaitham and basically just kill everything. (It takes a few rounds to set up. But once Alhaitham gets going he just doesent stop. Because of gamblers and the sword he often has a dice advantage. And I can still use the food that reduces normal attacks to get more dice out of it than I used. I sometimes used 3 or 4 normal attacks in one round. If I am lucky even more. Which is just... Insane. My opponents often ended their round before me. Just which made my Alhaitham die less.)
Definitely sounds powerful! I would try the version with Cyno so you're not quite as all-in on Alhaitham, and he needs the energy a bit less. Double electro already has great tools to rush out Beidou's burst without needing Raiden
I've been having fun and a decent winrate with Hu Tao / Yelan / Layla stall deck with Hu Tao as the anchor. Switching between Layla and Yelan in order to keep shielding and freezing enemies while equipping Hu Tao to one-shot everyone.
I was debating between recommending Layla Yelan over Mona Yelan - they're both very strong pairs that play slightly differently. I think Ayaka really wants the quickswap from Mona but I can see Layla working well in other decks
@@blepthecat I'm still adjusting the cards in this deck since it feels way too dependant on luck atm. If I don't get Golden House and the weapons in the first 4 rounds it's really hard to win.
@@gravelordkyle if your deck is stall focused and you need to draw some weapons, you can always try using Wagner instead of relying on Golden House. It works well for the Lynette anemo decks and it sounds like it could be ok here too. You won't get a choice of which weapon though - but if you have enough card draw/stall it should be fine
I've had plenty of success with a Lynette and Ocean Hue Clam combo, mix with Layla for easy cryo. Tons of food and Aquila Favonia. Seems like an obvious combo, am i missing something?
It sounds like it can work ok. Lynette Clam certainly is a nice combo but especially after the nerf she really prefers something like Tenacity or even Vourukasha for repeatable value. Clam tends to do better in midrange decks where Lynette/Layla very much want longer games. Still, if it is working for you though that's pretty cool. Maybe some unexplored territory!
Because Hu Tao also needs to skill then it will be a lot of set up (5 skills before you start doing real damage) so I think it will be slow, and you also have to time two duration based skills which could be tricky. I think if you want to use Hu Tao right now XQ is probably better, but worth a try!

I really loved playing TCG for fun, but now I’m just not that engaged in it. With no real rewards or incentive to play I’m reeeeally not wanting to play which is a shame cause I love the game 😢

Most decks don't exclusively focus on Hyperbloom, but there are quite a few Dendro/Hydro/Electro decks - though most of these are focused around Electrocharged and use Nahida mostly for her efficient skill Something like Fischl/Mona/Nahida is popular, and you could even try Fischl/Oceanid/Nahida which is still strong despite Oceanid's nerf.

Yelan and tenshukaku in a rainbow deck looks like an insane combo, but tenshukaku feels good for stall and idk if yelan suits stall.

Yeah she got REALLY good with the new Foliar Incision sword. Freeze attacks with minty meat rolls that basically cost 1 are SO good
