Your math doesn’t check out because you told the app to lose 2 pounds a week, but your calculations were based on 1 pound per week, yet you used the same input calories as MyFitnessPal. That’s why it’s wonky. If you told MyFitnessPal to lose 1 pound a week, your intake wouldn’t be 1200.
Im 386 pounds(not counting fluctuating water weight. It says for me to eat over 2000 but I've been trying to eat 1500. Says I should be losing 2 lbs a week. Due to my back Im currently pretty sedentary but after my next procedure Id like to start walking again. Use to walk about 3 miles a day a couple years ago(2-3). Want to be a better servant to Most High Almighty God.
Since you mentioned an upcoming procedure, I would definitely follow whatever your personal medical professionals tell you! But I wish you all the best in your journey. If you’re able to find some strength exercises that work for you now, that will be a big help too 💚
@@jessicaelliott4328 Tweaking my diet by God's leading. Found out wheat and gluten caused the water weight gain and due to my neck and back issues am trying to follow a inflammation reductiin diet. Last weight was 366.5.
I watched so many videos on calorie counting. I reduced my calories to 1200 and for the past 2 days have felt absolutely terrible. I am trying to lose weight, but at 1550 I'm not losing weight. I have lost a little, but not a steady 1lb a week. I work out 3 to 4 times a week. Do you have any comments for me?
Hi! Calories are only one small piece of the puzzle, and the scale only shows one view of your progress. I would need to know much more about you to be able to advise you about your intake needs (age, gender, goals, activity level, stress levels, sleep duration and quality, health challenges, etc), but if you’d like help feel free to dm me on Instagram any time @tinyfitnesshtx and I’ll see what I can do!
The Harris-Benedict BMR equation * activity factor is actually remarkably accurate based on my experience comparing the output of the equation to metrics from reliable metabolic measures (not things like consumer fitness trackers, though the Apple Watch comes close as well). Staying alive is also different than being healthy, building muscle mass, or safely losing bodyfat, and as a personal trainer I’m working with those last 3 categories and not the first one 💚💪🏼

@@TinyFitnessHouston The procedure is burning nerves in my back. Feet go numb when I walk even half a mile but God makes all things possible.
@@jenniferornduff7835 how did everything go? I hope you got some relief!!

Those bmr calculators are garbage. You need less than 1500 to stay alive lmao
