My rear brake squeaked until about 1000 miles. I also looked at the 636 and it was the closest competitor IMO once you factor in price. R7 comes second. I came from a CBR1000RR, no regrets.
Honestly, it really is. I have found nothing wrong with this bike. I've owned probably in the neighborhood of 15 bikes and this one is my ultimate favorite. Thanks for watching!
As a owner of the same bike 1002/1500, the bump on the windscreen fairing is for full lock turning right for the cruise control tab, as for the braking noise i had the same but my bike dealer put a chamfer on the brake pads and it’s completely gone. The GP shift module cant be switch electronically through settings, the shifter needs to be flipped then the module detected the GP shift conversion on the first shift through the quick shifter indicator on the dash. My problem with the bike in general is at speed the mirrors are useless with the vibration. Sorry about dealership experience, that’s rough. But I LOVE this bike I ride it in 35 degrees F all the time!
Wow, thanks for the info. I was told some wrong information apparently but I appreciate you clearing it up. It's a great bike and I'm glad you're enjoying yours!
If that bump bothers you, youd probably scream like i did when i put the factory frame sliders on my Triumph and discovered they sit at different angles relative to the ground
Does your bike burn oil..? I have the 2021 model and it burns through about 500cc oil every 1000km.. Makes going on long road trips annoying having to carry extra oil !!! Other than that I love riding this bike. I came from mainly riding 2-strokes.
i'm torn between this and a triumph street triple RS. which do you think is overall better bike? Seems like the street triple has better component parts like ohlins. but the aprilia looks way more usable and fun to ride.
Triumph would be slightly more reliable. I’ve heard quite a few horror stories about this bike. I’m considering the Tuono 660 but the issues put me off since I ride a lot and put tons of miles on my bike.
LMAO! It bothers me to no end! I installed the X-Grip terribly and now I'm stuck with it like that. Drives me crazy! Anyways, thanks for watching and commenting!
That sure is a nice bike bro.
Cluster looks good. Nice paint. Headlight are sweet. Hope it treats you good. Keep the shinny side down stay safe.
Thanks so much! It's a great bike and I really love it.

Glad to know I'm not the only one and I completely agree with you. For me the 636 was actually really tall for some reason.
I totally agree. the RS660 is the best bike anyone could own.

you've gotta higher your gear once it starts vibrating
Loving the design as well
Thank you! It's a great paint scheme.
The little bump in the fairing if for the cruise control button. so if you steer all the way to the right it doesnt hit it
The bump on the fairing is to stop the cruise control unit hitting it.
Oh I know. Lol! I've been burned in the comments for not knowing that. But thank you for letting me know and thanks for watching!
Found any decent after market levers that don't hit the fairing?

Sounds good although I don’t really have lot of experience on or really seen that many Aprillas around town.
Yeah it’s a bit rare to see an Aprilia on the road. That’s one of the reasons I went with it.

Yes mine does that squeak sound too
My god my guy, when was the last time you lubed your chain 🥺
Love the bike though
Looking at this as my next bike, coming from the 450ss.
Same here, coming from a 450SRS.
Turn your wheel full lock to the right and you'll know why the bump is on the left...
I figured it out thanks. I hate that they didn't match the other side though,. Lol!
@@ChaseJasperDown yeah I didn't like that either, a little OCD part of me LOL
@@ChaseJasperDown also you need some serious lube on that chain!
10000 RPM that's a lot I thought my Toyota Celica had high RPMs and that red lines at 8400
That’s insanely high for a car!
Lube the chain. It looks rusty.
that bump triggers your ocd how about mounting the phone straight xD that triggered my ocd xD

I have had a GSXR-750, RC51 and several other bikes. NONE of Those bikes can hang with the RS.
0:58 cant's tell if that's salt on your engine, a poor paint job, or corrosion?
No I just need to wash the damn bike and it would go away. lol!
please, take care of your bike. Already rusty chain and full of sand,
Had to dislike cause you had the audacity to say the r7 is the ugliest bike you’ve ever seen 😭
