The bard healing for +1 and the Imp genuinely clapping cracked me up
I think he buffed for +1 to every dice roll... clearly doesn't matter 😁
same
Also the Wizard got 1-hit from RNG! 😂 FML
thx larian even imps are cultivated cultur xD
@@airlag well either +1 dice roll or +1 heal doesnt matter in that battle when enemy averge deal 4-8 damage a hit
Full series on this would be pretty humorous.
Elden ring style ! And take the origin character !
k@DontReadMyProfilePicture.104
IT WONT????
@DontReadMyProfilePicture.104 okay, I won't
@DontReadMyProfilePicture.104 k bud i won't, thanks for the advice
The double dash rouge running into all the attacks of opportunity was hilarious
I legit laughed a good 2 minutes at that
Really should have gone with a disengage and dash instead. Well, if the wizard's mage hand weren't going to pull the lever anyway.
Hindsight is always 20/20.
@@crashboredom2 Huh, is that different in Baldur's Gate 3? The Disengage action prevents your movement from triggering opportunity attacks for a turn in 5E.
And, yeah, I know that it was an attempt to pull the lever before the end of her turn. Just, under the circumstances, it was a bad idea, and for entirely related reasons it didn't work.
Or maybe even a good idea that turned out not to work, in the context of limited information. A new player doesn't come in knowing how opportunity attacks work in this game, and the option called "Dash" is a lot more self-explanatory than the one labeled "Disengage".
@@jmlynrYes, but this is funnier lol
Rouge player here.... that's the history of my life
That one little winged demon's support for the bard's performance is so wholesome.
The Barbarian missing after taking forever to decide what to do is a soul crushing thing that has happened to all of us.
Its also funny he takes all his possible options into account, at lvl1 at tutorial... only to do a simple auto-attack on the closest enemy anyway.
Especially when it ask if you wanna Reckless
And still miss...
One of my friends didnt realize he had to klick on himself again to activate the Barbarian buff for about 10h playtime. Turns out Combat wasnt as difficult as we thougt, we are just retarded.
In a friend's party with a wizard, a rogue, a paladin and a barbarian, and somehow the barbarian whose entire gameplay revolves around bonking always has to think the longest.
@@YesThatWasa 95% chance of hit. "miss". Reroll. "miss". I'm pretty sure that has happened to me at least twice now.
Hahah I lost it at the barbarian running up to the imp and then taking 50 years to decide what to do
Hit or throw?! Tough decision!!
Then missing lol
Indeed an authentic DnD experience
Same here. I laughed out loud which caught the attention of my coworkers. 😂
@dafaqboom706 No
This game is perfect for your animation style and humor.
🤣that one player who keeps shoving the other players is on point. Having everyone fight zhalk for his everburning blade instead of trying to win also got me. Please make this a series!
Pro tip: cast spell Command- Drop
You’re welcome
This could be an amazing animated series that goes for like 10 seasons.
Please make it happen!

10 seasons 🤔. So we've got 10 percent of act 1... Do it!!! 😅
@@parkerturpovelasco8937 10, par acte ^^
that tutorial sequence was amazing. The taking forever to decide your turn, immediately followed by the action failing is too real
Ah, if use this spell against this target I have an 80% chance of success! Critical miss...

larian not only made the best game ever, they also are ordering episodes from the best gaming animation channel ever. way to go, fellas. hope to see AT LEAST 100 more more of these.
The demon and mindfrayer just standing there waiting with a annoyed look on their faces had me 😂
Nailed how it feels when everyone is idling while in combat as you slowly choose your skills, only to miss. Every. Damn. Time.
it said "95% chance with advantage" !!!!! 😭😭😭🤬🤬🤬👿👿👿😠😠😠
My experience: Make a ranger class (so my character is proficient with a bow), meet a goblin 20 metres away, my character attacks and shoots 3 times with a 70% hit chance, misses all three times... WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY CHARACTER IS A RANGER?! HE CAN'T HIT A WALL IF IT WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM!
This game needs an cinema mod, to show, after a battle, how it's looks in-real, when all the characters act at the same time.)
I swear, the amounts of times i roll a 1 in this game is fucking ridicolous. XD
@@macmartin86 Oof, tough luck. Sounds like he couldn't hit the ground if he tripped 😅
I'm so glad you're getting the recognition you deserve. The fact that Larian sponsored this is not only a great compliment to your talent, but also to Larian's passion. They really do stand out from most of the industry. Watching interviews of not only the devs, but the voice actors, shows how much joy their project gave them. Most of the time other companies come off as sleazy used car salesmen, but with them it is very clear that it is genuine. I really hope you make some more BG3 content. That was funny AF. 😂
Without doubting carbot's talent... or mentioning how desperate he has become for commercialisation of his trade since the Blizzard fall-out... Larian studios is buying every other big animation channel on RUclips, for these ads.
Please make this a series. There's so much you guys could do with D&D shanigans. Amazing as always.
I'm so happy to hear Larian sponsored this, it's well deserved!
I've been playing the game with friends since launch, we've already beat it once are still going strong, it's just too good. This is a great start, here's to hoping this ends up being a long series!
You can literally make one video for each battle encounter because of how unique and funny they could be. Goes to show the quality of BG3.
I want to see them animate that one special flask
Not to mention how you can cheese Turn-based mode to get an early battle advantage on your terms.
This is what I love the most in Larian's approach. I played too many CRPGs where 90% of battles were just mindless grindy dungeon crawls. Larian tries to make every battle meaningful and interesting.
@kamchatmonk yeah good point - battles are entirely plot and character driven, which makes each one memorable and unique. there is no such thing as grind in this game.
@NickReilly-iv6jg once I got the black hole illithid ability it made dealing with ambushes super easy - I just use that on the first turn and then hitting them with aoe attacks. Super fun.
Larian can't do wrong. First they released a masterpiece and then they sponsor Carbot.
It's almost like someone in charge of the company understands the market and industry they are in.
And I'm 100% here for it.
@@formes2388that's the great thing about not having shareholders

Larian sponsoring Carbot!?!? I didn't think they could do more, and they continue to surprise me!
Great work everyone!
Banjovi best character ! Can't wait for the other episodes

I'm currently a level 5 College of Swords Bard, Level 6 Eldritch Knight, Level 1 Warlock. It's so busted. Dual-wielding legendary maces with +17 bonuses, and chilling with 33 AC every fight.
Thank Larian for sponsoring the video! 1:40 I appreciate how supportive his teammates and enemies were!!!
meanwhile my party's bard: "You swampborn shitslinger! Motherless goblin!" every single turn. It's like twitter made a character.

Woohoo! Congrats on the sponsorship, you deserve all of the success. I'm looking forward to more BG3 content.
Fantastic ! Keep ‘em coming. And it’s great that Larian sponsored the video. They’re great people
Please let this be the beginning of a series with accompanying plushes. I would mortgage my house for a Lae'zel plush.

Wow, amazing video! It's incredible how you stayed so close to the game content while making it hilarious. I'd love to see more Baldur's Gate videos like this!
Congrats that they personally sponsored this episode, what an honor ! 👏 I was a bit skeptical about doing a Baldur's Gate series as you recently were asking, as I never played the legendary BG2, so I thought I would miss out many of the gags - but seeing this episode I had enough laughs due to at least some dungeons&dragons-experience with the mechanics and so of the turn-based-role-playing, it is a blast what you already did in this episode - many thanks ! so from my side I can only say that you convinced me and I'm eager to see more episodes ! ;)
The Barbarian guy checking his jump options and looking around is the most relatable thing I’ve seen in a minute 😂
How though? All these people saying it's relatable seem to have no idea what a Barbarian in D&D even is. You see a thing, you beat it until it stops moving. There's no "deciding what to do" when you play a Barbarian! XD A Fighter might at least have a bit of strategic thinking involved. Barbarians are the toned down version of "Hulk Smash!"
@@Paranitis I think that's part of the joke.
And berserker subclass with tavern brawler feat opens up many variants of smashing things that could induce severe cases of choice paralysis for a barbarian 😅
those weren't jump options, those where throw options!
@@Biouke what do I destroy first
@@Paranitis I play one in BG3. Yeah, it's not as complicated as people make it out to be, but it's also not just hulk smash when you've got 3 mages on each side throwing AoE. Also you can build barbarians more interesting than mine. Mine is basically just Hulk. Jump in, smash, smash, get a truck thrown at you, smash more.
BG3 is universally acclaimed and Larian has no need to "prove" anything else to bring people into the game and yet they still sponsor content creators like Carbot which only improves their brand image and recognizes the importance of content creators. Round of applause to both Carbot and Larian 👏
At this point it feels like they are sponsoring the creators because they want to also see bg3 content from them and using "it's marketing" as the budget justification.
It is universally acclaimed only by those masses who haven't progressed far into the Act 2. The second half of the game is of atrocious quality, both narrative and gameplay, and is also lacking ON-RELEASE content such as actual endings.
So, yeah, the world is a circus and I cannot refund my ticket.
lol homie out here really just making shit up
@@danilanaumov4068
Based on your logic Coca Cola and Nike do not ever need advertisement but that does not how the industry works
@@danilanaumov4068I'm on act 3 of my second playthrough, first was solo and now I'm with my brother, and I couldn't disagree more. Yes, there are some (mostly technical) issues on act 3, and yes, maybe it is a bit rushed and some characters are left with unsatisfying ends (something Larian is already working on) but calling it "of atrocious quality" seems a bit of an exaggeration to me. Surely, maybe it goes down from "masterpiece" to "excellent" but that's it.
That's just my two cents on it tho, of course.
Awesome!! Can't wait for this whole series here to come out. Very awesome too that Larian gave the sponsorship too
Omg I need more of this in my life, you people are amazing!
The imp really enjoying the Bard’s performance was gloriously wholesome. I think he’s got a groupie.
Congrats on the sponsorship, this was great!
Maybe a gr-imp-ie?
Thank you Larian for sponsoring this channel. Two great loves in one place!
This was thoroughly enjoyable! I'm so happy this exists!!
Been following since the first sc videos, so happy to see how far you've come, this is golden!
Magic hand is the spell that looks useless and then ends up saving you in half your playthrough lol
I think Mage Hand should be one of the main characters of this series, doing the major brunt of questing and fighting while other characters do silly and wacky stuff.
the reason my wyll got it + every throwable shit i found
Except it still can't reach things that are physically out of reach to you. I either tried to light or put out a torch or something and even though I was right next to it, it was out of reach. So I moved away, cast Mage Hand, and the mage hand was too far away while being right next to it. Meanwhile in actual D&D it can float up into the sky and knock bats off the ceiling.
@@Paranitis Well that's a common minor bug that has nothing to do with mage hand. Sometimes you can still throw or move those bugged "unreachable" items around as a workaround. Maybe patch #3 did iron it out.
It's just annoying that they nerfed it by making it only available once per short rest, despite it still being labeled a cantrip. If they made up for it by either not having enemies target it or increasing its hp I'd be fine, but as it is it's severely limited in use
I hope we'll be seeing more adventures of Miss Demeanor, Banjovi, Haagen-Dasz and Josh.

Episode *"1"*
I think its a critical success!
Baldur’s Gate 1&2 were my favorite games as a teenager and young adult. I absolutely adored those games, and when I heard Larian were making BG3, it was like a dream come true. I spent over 150h playing the early access, and I spent many days dreaming about my future builds and what the final game would be like. My expectations were as high as they can be.
And this game blew me away. It is even better than I could’ve ever hoped for. Truly a generation defining masterpiece.
I'll make your words mine. BG1 and BG2 are still among my all time favorite games ever and Larian delivered, in a spectacular way, the expectations I had for BG3. That's what happens when you have a CEO that is passionate about what he does and don't care only about money.
I had the exactly opposite experience. Larian delivered DOS3, which is nowhere near the originals.
@@megamastah why? Because it's turn based? If anyone tells they played BG1 or BG2 without pausing they either a) played 5 minutes or b) they are lying. The only advantage real time with pause had (and only on BG2 iirc) is that you could define several turn actions at once and then let them all play out. But the game, even if disguised, was still a turn based game.
@@heimdallcvl I do agree that the BG1 and 2 system had a better "flow" to the combat - BG3 is more slow-paced and tactical. Whether one system is better than the other ultimately comes down to personal preference, and nothing else. Yet despite my preference for how combat worked in BG 1 and 2, I am still enjoying BG 3 immensely.
Combat was never really what I cared most about anyway - I'm in it for the story and character interactions. Which is absolute gold (so far - I'm still dicking around in Act 1)
@@LadyDoomsinger i agree. Also, being someone who played tabletop D&D for several years, the turn based system is much more D&D'ish. And i'm also having a blast with BG3. 89 hours into the game and still on act 1. I'm an exploration / secret discovery freak in these games 😅
Thank you Larian for sponsoring the channel!
omg please make this into a series! that would be amazing. I need it

YUUUS!! Been waiting for this!! It was PERFECT as usual!!!
Sweet, another series to look forward to on top of your guys Elden Ring stuff.
0:02 Welcome to Baldur's Gate 3! This game is based on the rules and lore of Dungeons & Dragons, and these characters are all possible ways to play the game, all with their own abilities, playstyle and lore. Between brackets you can find a short, general background for the characters. Usually they dont have much influence on the game, but pay close attention to the Barbarian with the Dark Urge background. It will come back later...
00:14 This handsome fellow is a nautiloid. Its basically a space-squid, but although it is organic (made of flesh) it isnt alive. It is usually used by mindflayers, which are essentially an evil, highly intelligent hivemind of tentacle aliens with psychic powers.
00:21 The mindflayers abduct people to give them parasites that turn them into mindflayers. Coincidentally, the main characters in this story all have been kidnapped and given a parasite as well, which is where the game starts.
00:28 The first memorable thing you come across is a dead man missing the top half of his skull, whose brain psychically calls for help...
00:31 and it turns out the brain in question is an intellect devourer, a pet/minion of the mindflayers that can consume someone's intelligence with psychic powers. It calls itself 'Us' and can be recruited if you free it.
00:35 The girl begging to be freed is Shadowheart, one of the companions who can either accompany your main character in your party or be selected as a playable character herself at the start of the game. Sadly the game only allows 4 characters at once to roam the map, so in a multiplayer campaign with 4 players they are pretty useless outside of story purposes.
00:41 The party opens a sphincter (yes, that's how this ship works, don't question it too much) and steps into a fight. Carbot doesnt show this, but due to some shenanigans the nautiloid has ended up in literal hell, and its inhabitants dont take kindly to unwanted visitors. The mindflayer fights a cambion, a half-demon, which is the first boss you can try to take down.
00:50 Combat has started! Every battle starts by rolling for initiative. This determines who gets to go first, because combat in BG3 goes in turns...
00:55 ...and to be fair, the turns can take a while to complete. Don't expect too much in the way of fast-paced action.
1:09 The Barbarian decides to go for a normal melee attack, and it misses. Low level characters will probably see this quite often. The power gap between levels and equipment can be pretty nuts at times, and more importantly, perks and stat increase, while not easy to get your hands on, can make a huge difference in how effective your weapons will be. It is also good to mention that asides from the normal action someone can take, there is also a bonus action, that allows someone to do something like drink a potion or jumping onto something. Just something you can do within a second, so to say.
1:16 Josh the Wizard casts Mage Hand, a small spectral hand that can grab or pull on things that are out of reach for the wizard himself. A very solid choice considering the fact that the mission is to connect a transponder to get out of hell.
1:20 Unfortunately wizards are EXTREMELY vulnerable to enemy attacks. If enemy units target your wizard they need to die soon before something like this happens too often.
1:23 This guy is a bard, which means in combat he casts his spells by playing an instrument. He uses a Healing Word on himself, which is the first healing spell a caster can get. Sadly its not very good at lower levels, but its there for times of need.
1:44 And there's the rogue: subterfuge specialists and hidden blades. Rogues are able to take 'cunning actions', which allows them to use their bonus action for 'Dash', which adds +100% movement to someone's moving pool. Demeanour here tries this out for herself, running to the console by using both her action and her bonus action to dash...
1:55 Bad idea! Every time you walk away from an enemy in Baldur's Gate 3, they can get in an attack of opportunity, a free melee strike to whoever runs out of their reach with their melee weapon. The Rogue is taking multiple hits for no reason and ends up being knocked out, but that doesnt mean she dies just yet. More on that in another point.
2:07 Two more cambion come in after a few turns, not as powerful as the first one, but still a force to be reckoned with.
2:18 The commanding cambion has a unique sword, the first unique weapon in the game. Its not amazingly good, but it does a good job in the early levels of killing your foes with an extra bit of fire damage nonetheless. However, once the allied mindflayer dies one should probably forget about the weapon and just run for the objective.
2:25 Knocked out characters have to throw death saves to see if they live or die. The little icon above their head shows how many death saves have been thrown so far, and each turn a 50-50 chance die is rolled. 3 successes or 3 failures and you stand up or die permanently, depending on the outcome. Also, the mage hand can interact with small-ish objects, like the lever here.
2:32 The ship crashlands and that's where the true game begins and the tutorial is over.
😂 it's good, but why
Been waiting for this ! Just completed BG3 too, and this video is like the final treat to complete the whole experience haha
The scene in which they try to get the sword is spot on xD
