Does it need all 4 hard drives to work or can you start with 2 ?
Not at all. You can use 1 and expand later to 2 or 3 or 4. Even nvme is optional.

A beast of a NAS + Ironwolf HD + NVME caching and only getting 111MBps write and 112MBps read?? One can get that same speed with most cheap 1Gbps NAS.. Come on!! You just wasted a lot of $$$. That is sad. :(
Truth about server storage needs be explained. As a tech reviewer if im sharing real performance stats so you guys can get a reality check for future decisions than hyped numbers. And when it comes to video editing caching really do make all the positive difference as I mentioned in the video. But that cannot be judged via read and write speeds.
