Forest will surprise a few too this season. I actually think they will ride fairly high between 8th and 12th and then tail off and level out between 12th and 15th
There is no pre season pressure on Nuno at all at Forest. At this moment in time we have kept all of our best players and made some useful and targeted additions. If this stays the same or improves during the current window then we are stronger. Add to that no AFCON , points deductions and surely less outrageous and costly referring decisions….then barring a terrible injury crisis, I see us improving on last season. Maybe 14th?

Possibly Ipswich is going to be the new Nottingham Forest of the past two seasons, i.e. surviving. I expect Forest to place at least between 10-14th.Not biased, lol. It's the build-up and it's a team which is trying to regrow their name.
Summary of some significant differences in my 20: Southampton I see as this season's Luton, best of relegated but just not ready. I see ground slipping under Brentford, if they lose Tony, dead last. Surprise drop off - Bournemouth, I see them finally losing the surprise overachieving, kind off Shef.Utd in second season (this time for the manager) few years ago. Foxes I see outfoxing by quality despite point deduction, like Everton last season. Big gap between them and Southampton. On top I see greatest surprise with Sloth driven LFC, new tactics under a good hand. Close rival to the last day Arsenal. MC? - I see trouble and corrosion brewing there, underperformance. Finally, not an Ipswich fan but, I see them as N.Forrest in their first recent season, ready, good structure and ownership/leadership never in relegation trouble,... next season though... 1.LFC 2.Arsenal 3.MC 4.Spurs 5.A.Villa (strain of European competition) 6.M.Utd 7.Newcastle 8.W.Ham 9.C.Palace 10.Chelsea(If they kept Poch' maybe top 4 but total mess now) 11.Everton 12.Brighton 13.Fulham(doing all the right things) 14.Ipswich 15.Wolves 16.N.Forrest 17.Foxes 18.Southampton 19.Brentford 20.Bournemouth
Interesting take for Brighton, I think we could go either way from p11 thinking around p7 to p13. Hopefully on the upside of that range, but I won't complain either way because to even be in the prem for us is special.
Wolves bottom 3? No chance, this time last year, I would have agreed. The last 10 games they couldn't name 11 senior players in the squad. And playing ait-nouri, a defender up front. There's players now returning from loan, and a few new signings, wolves are in a much better position than last year . Based on the current squad I think we will be looking mid table, and I wouldn't rule out top half
Good as always, Ben. Not a premier league fan (SUFC), but I worry for Howe if Newcastle do finish 8th. I wonder if there’s another wealthy club that’s on the build that could use him for their project? Maybe Leeds if they go up. Maybe Forest if they stay up. I’d rather not as I rate him.
Newcastle's squad if Guehi comes and a good RW is as good as Liverpool's, at least. Chelsea has a new manager+a lot of crap signing, man utd has injuries and is shite overall (they're just lucky), villa will face same problems as newcastle last season, liverpool will surely be not as good as last year, so yea, top 5 is for newcstle
I think brentford will be 16th. The club spoke a lot about a big summer window and so far we havent signed anyone and igor thiago who signed before the window opened is already injured until christmas. A lot of thumb twiddling and head scratching seems to be going on behind the scenes while players we had interest in go to other teams for bargain fees.
first id like to say this was done before Southampton F.C. had even go into the perm, what i had done is made a table and went game by game and based my predictions off the. Also i am a Chelsea fan but i did not let that change my results (i hope). i have also done a points range some are quite large but most likely that is where the teams will be at the end of the season by my guess 1. Man City - 106 points -> 99 points = X (he will leave the club not get sacked and rejoin FC Barcelona when Xavi leaves) 2. Arsenal - 94 points -> 80 points = K 3. Aston Villa - 92 points -> 60 points = K 4. Crystal Palace - 80 points -> 40 points = K 5. Newcastle - 90 points -> 76 points = K 6. Chelsea - 76 points -> 40 points = K 7. Man United - 72 points -> 65 points = X 8. Tottenham - 72 points -> 55 points = X 9. Liverpool - 64 points -> 55 points = K 10. Bournmouth - 62 points -> 30 points = K 11. Everton - 56 points -> 30 points = K 12. Nottm Forest - 44 points -> 22 points = X 13. Wolves - 38 points -> 26 points = K 14. West Ham - 55 points -> 38 points = K 15. Fullham - 50 points -> 38 points = K 16. Brighton - 40 points -> 26 points = K 17. Brentford - 26 points -> 20 points = X 18. Leicester City - 40 points -> 16 points = X 19. Ispwich Town - 24 points -> 2 points = K 20. Southampton F.C. - 20 points -> 2 points = X This is all based off math that i did on 26/05/2024 mainly which teams will beat each other. The places that i think they will finish and the range of points that they will get. This is also done before a single club has done any real transfer moves so this could look very different. The X means mangers that i think will be sacked by the end of the year, and a K means they will keep their job 1/07/2024 edit: changed 20th place name thank you for reading it is a little over board but i enjoyed the like 2 hours it took to do back then and yes i have even added edit notes :)
Benjamin is not being balanced with Ipswich. They should be 10th, but he had to put them down a few places. Forest and Brentford look a bit precarious.
@@charliemilroy6497please compare the squad from 1st season to this season 👍🏻 and also, it’s been well documented the issues last season with AFCON 6 1st team players unavailable, points deduction and dodgy refs/var. PSR looks ok for 23/24 with sales of Mangala, Niakhate and Vlach 👍🏻 Without the points deduction last season, Forest finished 3 points behind Brentford and their new striker is injured until Xmas and Toney who knows?
I think you could be underestimating Ipswich towns chances, Unlike a few of the more resantly promoted sides ,who actually weren't the sides who actually got promoted,and changed there sides ,Ipswich have the same players ,and added to them ,and I think they will suprise a lot of teams

@@WolvesFI with how Wolves are moving the ball around and the attacking flare we get another central defender and keep what we have we could be that dark horse this season
Respect the gamble but I don't see it happening. Our trend really is just kind of midtable (7th, 7th, 13th, 10th, 13th, 14th) and while we ended the season poorly it was because Neto, Cunha, Bellegarde and Hwang were all injured (which was ever senior attacker but Pablo Sarabia). New signings have been quite attacking focused and Rodrigo Gomes in particular has My picks 1 - Arsenal 2 - Mancheseter City 3 - Liverpool 4 - Tottenham Hotspur 5 - Newcastle United 6 - Aston Villa 7 - Manchester United 8 - Chelsea 9 - Crystal Palace 10 - AFC Bournemouth 11 - West Ham United 12 - Wolverhampton Wanderers 13 - Everton 14 - Brighton & Hove Albion 15 - Fulham 16 - Nottingham Forest 17 - Ipswich Town 18 - Brentford 19 - Leicester City 20 - Southampton
Although a lot of preparation was done behind the scenes, the PL is the easiest division to predict. We know which clubs will be competing for the title and places in Europe. When it comes to the EFL, with a couple of exceptions one could rank the clubs in the division at random and it probably wouldn't be too far off. I expect last season's top four to be the same this season but hopefully with another club winning the title. It's not every season that the promoted clubs get relegated; before last season I think the last time it happened was about ten years ago. Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton have the odds stacked against them. I think Ipswich (declaration of interest: I'm an Ipswich fan) and Leicester will stay up; Southampton will go down. Everton are intriguing, and could get sucked into a relegation scrap. Whatever happens, the season is almost upon us and the watchalongs are bound to be far more entertaining than those England games in the Euros.
As much as I would hate for Ipswich to remain the the prem, I can honestly see it happemning pretty comfortably. I don't even think this comes down to playing football - I think in an ordinary season they would finish bottom or second from bottom. The thing is that this isn't a normal season, and you've got around 7-8 clubs being looked at for potential point reductions, including many in relegation competition. I believe Ipswich will survive based on punishments to the clubs around them.
Fair placing. In my opinion, I think you were "overly compensatory" and were too harsh on both Ipswich's transfer windows in the Championship. I think both of them had Plymouth doing better...
City champions, Arsenal, Liverpool, United top4 Villa (don't think they will drop off but hard to sustain), Newcastle and Spurs close by. I'm bolding on a massive Fulham drop off, Fulham, Wolves, Leicester relegation. Southampton (I think Russel Martin's football is more coined for the PL), Forest (talent is there but Nuno is a limited coach) and Ipswich to barely stay up. Ipswich will do a Luton and fight until the death, and i think the main change is they will manage to stay up, unlike Luton. The EFL won't prosecute City that hard, as if that happens, it will be a massive signal to restart procedures for the Super League and shit on the EFL for good

Arsenal Man City Liverpool Man Utd Villa Chelsea I'm an Everton fan so I've no allegiance to the above, and I'd be happy with 11th 😃heading towards BMD. Arsenal - They've been knocking on the door and I think they'll make a few more signings before the widow closes City - De Bruyne and Walker are a year older and I think pace and injuries will begin to tell, and Haaland may suffer from hamstring issues during the season (plus I'm tired of their domination and would like to see a change?) L'pool - Pains me to say it but I think they're the best of the rest and have some promising youngsters Man Utd - I think ETH could be gone by Christmas and a new manager will get them playing more as a team and have a strong finish to the season. Villa - I like Villa and Emery but I don't think the squad is strong enough to manage CL and PL, BUT....I think they will drop to the Europa and Emery will win them silverware. Chelsea - I predict another manager change here as their defense in preseason looked all over the place. A new manager will come in and tighten up the defense and they'll improve in the latter part of the season.
There has been so much hot air/ill-informed comment about the Leic points deduction on other channels. One academic has suggested that there will be no points deducted because of the delays. Fans have no idea what is happening, e.g. when the Commission will meet, what it will take into account, etc. The EPL has to navigate the Man City case alongside Leicester. If they take little action against Man City there will be uproar. If they are sever it will damage the credibility of the competion. I think it is too early to call it.

I say this even as a Norwich fan but stop knocking yourself for predicting Ipswich will finish 17th. I’m not saying they’ll stay up but I do think they’ll finish higher than Southampton and Leicester. Reminds me a little (minus the huge financial backing they currently have) to when Norwich went up under Paul lambert. Everyone wrote us off in the championship but did it. Then everyone didn’t even write us off in the prem, they simply overlooked us and left us outta the conversations completely and we sneaked under the radar and stayed up fairly comfortably. Can see Ipswich doing that. Mid lower half to mid table.
Everton may be failed by their board and poor accounting once more. Sean dyche said keeping them up was the hardest thing he's done In his career in 2023. I wouldn't say their chances are any greater. But he'd be the dude I wanted in charge. Chelsea also, wow. They want to be brighton so hard but they forget their bloody chelsea. Pochettino did brilliantly to turn their woeful form around. Maresca is......well not very good when things go wrong to begin with. It's a hard year to predict with the bottom 3. @sylvesterrobson963 all opinions are respected by me as a normal footy fan mate. Just think there are 5,6,7 clubs we should finish above with the squad we have. Hope I'm right lol
Bottom three Brentford, Forest and Leicester. Hard to see Ipswich sacking McKenna and can come again in January after a good window. Southampton have a good style of play and if hit the skids will be patient; if they sacked Martin then I think they would slip in relegation.
I dont enjoy saying this, but as a Brentford fan, I think we're going down. We're doing nothing in the transfer window, and I think considering how bad Toney was when he came back from his ban, him staying won't help us much, especially considering he doesn't want to he there
Didn't you buy a new striker from Belgium or so? Anyway, having a settled squad isn't a bad thing at all, and if you can avoid the same amount of injuries I think you'll be fine as you can score goals no matter whether Toney stays or goes.
My guess: 1. Arsenal --------------- 2. Manchester City 3. Liverpool 4. Tottenham 5. Chelsea 6. Aston Villa 7. Newcastle 8. Manchester United 9. West Ham 10. Crystal Palace 11. Bournemouth 12. I think Ispwich will stay up too, made some really good signings. Bottom 3: Forest Leicester Southampton With Wolves, Brighton and Brentford close to the drop.
My current bottom 3 feeling is Southampton 20th - Forest 19th - Ipswich 18th. If Leicester get a points reduction then swap out Ipswich with Leicester.
Here are my thoughts on this seasons Premier League: 1) Arsenal 2) Manchester City 3) Liverpool 4) Newcastle United 5) Aston Villa 6) Chelsea 7) Manchester United 8) Tottenham Hotspur 9) Crystal Palace 10) West Ham United 11) AFC Bournemouth 12) Brighton and Hove Albion 13) Everton 14) Fulham 15) Nottingham Forest 16) Ipswich Town 17) Wolverhampton Wanderers 18) Leicester City 19) Brentford 20) Southampton
Sorry Ben it’s Ipswich bottom. The way my team Leeds put 8 past you with ease makes me think you ll get a lot of hammerings. I hope not. I hope you stay up. I’d like to see Ipswich stay up but can’t see you winning 8/9 games in the 98 th minute any more
I'm an Ipswich fan and adhering to the ethos of the channel, I'll agree to disagree. I think Leeds were the only team to take six points from us last season. The game at Portman Road was crazy; one side was 3-1 up at one point and the match ended 4-3. Next season Ipswich will have to improve their defence.
A view from the Colonies. The theme is young legs win games. 1. Aston Villa 2. Chelsea 3. Man City 4. Tottenham 5. Arsenal 6. Brighton 7. Liverpool 8. Newcastle 9. Brentford 10. Man United 11. Spurs will be top 3. Stability, young player growth, second season record of Ange in every prior job, fewer injuries, and a strong end of the transfer window. Liverpool new manager, Villa haven’t improved, Chelsea new manager, United will sack Ten Hag, Newcastle lack improvement. City and Arsenal are solid top 3 picks without injury crisis.

All 3 promoted teams to go down, sorry ben!
Interesting take for Brighton, I think we could go either way from p11 thinking around p7 to p13. Hopefully on the upside of that range, but I won't complain either way because to even be in the prem for us is special.
"Interesting" is a bit kind, it's a ludicrous take.
Love your content Ben never change 😊....MOT
Neto palmer and nukuku crap funny how you are buying ex chelsea players Hall and ghuei 😂😂😂😂😊
No way Man U will finish that high. Newcastle, Spurs have better squads, manager is bang average.
Also i am a Chelsea fan but i did not let that change my results (i hope). i have also done a points range some are quite large but most likely that is where the teams will be at the end of the season by my guess
1. Man City - 106 points -> 99 points = X (he will leave the club not get sacked and rejoin FC Barcelona when Xavi leaves)
2. Arsenal - 94 points -> 80 points = K
3. Aston Villa - 92 points -> 60 points = K
4. Crystal Palace - 80 points -> 40 points = K
5. Newcastle - 90 points -> 76 points = K
6. Chelsea - 76 points -> 40 points = K
7. Man United - 72 points -> 65 points = X
8. Tottenham - 72 points -> 55 points = X
9. Liverpool - 64 points -> 55 points = K
10. Bournmouth - 62 points -> 30 points = K
11. Everton - 56 points -> 30 points = K
12. Nottm Forest - 44 points -> 22 points = X
13. Wolves - 38 points -> 26 points = K
14. West Ham - 55 points -> 38 points = K
15. Fullham - 50 points -> 38 points = K
16. Brighton - 40 points -> 26 points = K
17. Brentford - 26 points -> 20 points = X
18. Leicester City - 40 points -> 16 points = X
19. Ispwich Town - 24 points -> 2 points = K
20. Southampton F.C. - 20 points -> 2 points = X
This is all based off math that i did on 26/05/2024 mainly which teams will beat each other. The places that i think they will finish and the range of points that they will get. This is also done before a single club has done any real transfer moves so this could look very different.
The X means mangers that i think will be sacked by the end of the year, and a K means they will keep their job
1/07/2024 edit: changed 20th place name
thank you for reading it is a little over board but i enjoyed the like 2 hours it took to do back then and yes i have even added edit notes :)
Benjamin is not being balanced with Ipswich. They should be 10th, but he had to put them down a few places. Forest and Brentford look a bit precarious.
Why do Forest look precarious?
@@RobinHood-us7sg scraped survival the first season and didn't do that well last season. Maybe a points deduction?
@@charliemilroy6497please compare the squad from 1st season to this season 👍🏻 and also, it’s been well documented the issues last season with AFCON 6 1st team players unavailable, points deduction and dodgy refs/var. PSR looks ok for 23/24 with sales of Mangala, Niakhate and Vlach 👍🏻
Without the points deduction last season, Forest finished 3 points behind Brentford and their new striker is injured until Xmas and Toney who knows?
I think you could be underestimating Ipswich towns chances,
Unlike a few of the more resantly promoted sides ,who actually weren't the sides who actually got promoted,and changed there sides ,Ipswich have the same players ,and added to them ,and I think they will suprise a lot of teams

New signings have been quite attacking focused and Rodrigo Gomes in particular has

Relegated - Southhampton, Forest, Brighton Top 4 - Spurs, Arsenal, Man City, Villa
Do league two predictions too please
City champions,
Arsenal, Liverpool, United top4
Villa (don't think they will drop off but hard to sustain), Newcastle and Spurs close by.

I'm an Everton fan so I've no allegiance to the above, and I'd be happy with 11th 😃heading towards BMD.
Arsenal - They've been knocking on the door and I think they'll make a few more signings before the widow closes
City - De Bruyne and Walker are a year older and I think pace and injuries will begin to tell, and Haaland may suffer from hamstring issues during the season (plus I'm tired of their domination and would like to see a change?)
L'pool - Pains me to say it but I think they're the best of the rest and have some promising youngsters
Man Utd - I think ETH could be gone by Christmas and a new manager will get them playing more as a team and have a strong finish to the season.

It's another year of off field decisions to see who drops.

Agree on top two (unsurprisingly). Kinda feel the opposite about Villa. Think they’ll sink quite dramatically after last season. Do wonder if my hero Emi Buendia changes that though. Was starting to come into his own before injury. He could be like a new signing for them potentially.
Do wonder if this is the year Bournemouth finally struggle but that’s what they live for. Ppl like me wondering that every year. Similar to palace.

Hard to see Ipswich sacking McKenna and can come again in January after a good window.
Southampton have a good style of play and if hit the skids will be patient; if they sacked Martin then I think they would slip in relegation.
Style of play is why Ipswich and Southampton will go down. Don’t have the players to play that way in the prem.

I'm an Ipswich fan and adhering to the ethos of the channel, I'll agree to disagree. I think Leeds were the only team to take six points from us last season.
