If you look at the xG/expected points table from last season, Aston Villa overperformed their expected finish more than any other team in the league. Which again means that Villa looked better last season than they really are. Villa will have to be very lucky again to finish top 4.
If we're penalizing Spurs for having a torrid 2nd half of the season, we must do the same to Villa. They were literally the only team in the top half of the table to do worse than Spurs in 2024.

Bro Im a Liverpool fan and Liverpool winning the UCL this season is a crazy claim man. Its Slots first season, there is definitely going to be rough phases throughout the season and not only that, I don't think our squad is even close to the squad we had when we won it in 2019 or when we came close in 2022. A lot has changed, when mane and firmino left our threat up top and counter attacks look less consistent and need some work that hopefully Slot will be able to rectify but I don't think it's a one season thing. We need more CB options, Van Dijk is slowly falling off and Konate is injury prone. Quansah is good but still young and not reliable and these owners are putting Joe Gomez on the market like retards, he's a warrior in our back line and can cover full back positions too, selling him would be one of the worst things I've seen FSG do since they have taken over. We need more depth in defence, out midfield and attack is fine, but our defence is really lacking atm.

All things being even, you would assume that all three of those teams will have much more consistency. Chelsea could also be in the mix but I don’t think they are quite right internally yet.
