I must admit Alice was very perfect at staying in character
I must confess I was confused at her pronounciation of 'half'... But listerning again, I dunno, her friend could be from Australia or had maybe an English relative, as often learns Americans to pronounce English the European (or well, halfly European in case of Australian) way. On the other hand, as a Dutch I have learned my accent by listening to English speaking actors. And that's why I pronounce half with an ah in it....

Pronunciation issues like this are usually due to the north south divide. The sketch is called Four Candles.

Well, the former two were REALLY staying in character, which makes sense. Of course, if it was the Mad Hatter (like in the first Disneyland Impressions video), it'd be hard to tell if he's breaking character or not, 'cause he'd be having a LOT of fun. I'll NEVER forget how he reacted. Seriously, the actor playing him MUST'VE been enjoying every minute of it. Best reaction ever!

Kioku In the books and in Shrek (Dreamworks) they were referred to as “ugly stepsisters”. And in the animated version of Cinderella (Disney) they’re ugly.

I'm not sure she realized what character's he was portraying. She may have thought he was just some smart aleck mocking her by making strange voices instead of being himself. He should've opened with Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck that way she would've known he was just multi talented.
At this point, I'm at starting to like Anastasia and Drizella.
There's another RUclipsrs somewhere who asks one of the stepsisters to marry him. And it's such a sweet and funny exchange. I feel people don't interact with them a lot positively, so anytime they do they have fun with it.

To be fair, the sisters don't have as much of expectations and standards to play along comparing to the main characters, especially the princesses. Playing them would be least stressful.

Not true. The actors start from the bottom by doing the mascot characters and work their way up to the speaking ones. They also switch characters sometimes.

@@calebsmith4030 it also kinda sucks for some characters as well. Mary Poppins is NOT allowed to sign autographs for example. I went when I was younger and I didn't understand why she wouldn't sign.. I mean I get it now. But it kinda made me upset.
Here though I think they're OK because the step sisters are wild but in other cases yeah I really hope nobody has gotten in trouble

@@ohohvalerie it's some bullshit play on it but it's because of the era she is from. Before womens suffrage and she was created and staged in a time where women could not vote. Signing your own name is a sign of control and well... They didn't have that. It sucks... Actually made me sad cause I didn't really understand at first. It isn't really explained. Basically she just said she couldn't sign it and fanned my booklet away. I don't know why they would follow rules like that if it's obviously gonna make guests upset.

I always found the stepsisters to be one of the more entertaining characters to play. Since their movie characters wouldn't mesh well with meet-and-greets (being mean to people including kids would be a turn-off), they get to act all bumbling and ridiculous. This means they can break fourth wall as they are just messin' about. :D

And unpopular opinion here: from someone who has watched Mary Poppins dozens of times, Mary did the best job of not breaking character, even if she look disinterested.
