I actually really miss the randomized trait system we had in TS3, I loved how it actually depended on how your sims were raised, it really made my sims feel like they had their own personalities.
@@katieburkman3981 I don't get it either, TS3 wont choose (and won't let you choose either) traits that conflict with already existing traits, so how do traits cancel each other out? & you can only have a limited number per sim. I Think TS3 did a good job at making the sims feel like individuals.
@@Cazameilia You can have 5 traits + 1 for every Social Group Completed and I think 1 from another thing but I can't remember now. Maybe someone knows. But yes, they can't be traits that conflict with each other like Hates the outdoors and loves the outdoors.

Probably because the social worker would walk in, get distracted, and start dancing, or yelling at your dog, or doing LITERALLY ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHAT THEY'RE BEING PAID FOR. Heck, they might not even show up!
@@dundee6402 yeah it sims 2 has so many other details that it could get in the way of other details and sometimes you have different animations playing at the same tine
You can clearly tell the old developers left after 3. It just feels like EA put their B-team on 4 and even seems like it’s being advertised to a specific demographic, rather than gamers in general.
@@Chunkysdead94 i've been playing both ts3 and 4, and I have to say: Ts4 is a far better game than ts3. It do lost some features the devs put on the last 3 games, and lacks the amount of details that made the other games so relatable. But ts4 is much more stable, some great features of ts3 simply doesn't work and they cutted it off or adapted for ts4 mechanics. Ts3 had a lot of insane bugs that make the game unplayable. With the hardware upgrades of this last generation of consoles, maybe they can work it all in a new game.
@@TheLieWOW there are work-arounds for those bugs. The problem with 4 is that once you start the game, it becomes tedious. The AI might be able to multitask, but it takes them far too long to do one task like eating or hw. Heck, I can’t even leave them alone without them just standing in place, even with high free will. And I refuse to believe that with all the money EA has, they couldn’t make an open world that was optimized.

That's not really true In sims 3 the animations never really changed much when you leveled up a few skills however sims 4 made it kinda better by adding certain animations that changed or completely overwritten other animations to match your skill level (like cooking for example)

A franchise should only get better and build on what they have done previously, but TS4 have stripped so much of what was great in TS2 and TS3, hell even TS1, it even had a school bus.
My favorite part of the Sims 2/3 was when you got a teen grounded by their parents and they get angry if the teenager leaves home to go to school. But if you obbey and let the teenager at home, they would be angry because the teen missed school. LOGIC

I don't remember much of Sims 2 and 3 and I've never paid the first one so my Mai experience is Sims 4. It's really funny how you get used to the disappearing and teleporting in Sims 4 when really...that is pretty weird. Literally I didn't bat an eye when the child sparkled away
What I miss in the sims 4 that were in the sims 3 : - kids recognising their step parents - Sims recognising their family in law - Being able to choose the colour I want my clothes, hair, objects etc … to be - Being able to go on a ride with babies on a pusher and carrying them out of their cradle - Having horses - THE OPEN WORLD - Cars - Garages - Geniuses and fairies - Being able to choose more than 3 personality trait and the fact they would have an impact on the gameplay : clumsy sims would stumble and die weirder compare to other sims - Being able to choose my star sign, my favorite colour, dish, music … - Ushers and thieves - Being able to choose how long a season would last and how long my sims could live (for each step and each season) -Feeding my fish in the aquarium - Having home phones - Being able to see every aspect of the map -cemeteries - having the cause of death written on the tombs - Curfew for teens - Being able to teach teenagers how to drive - Being able to scold teenagers and forbid them to go out That’s the reason why even tho I’ve got every single sims 4 extension pack, game pack and kits I would always prefer sims 3 over sims 4 … I just feel like sims 4 is a regression of the game, even though they do their best to ameliorate the gameplay, I’d never be the same. Like remember when there was no toddlers …
The sims 4 is just money launcher for EA since they know people would still buy it anyway it was already big red flag when the sims 4 launched for first time, there was no ghosts, no pool, no toddlers not even basic jobs like doctor, police and scientist Thanks god I didn't buy the sims 4 more packs further, i stopped after I got get to work and get together, not worth it... worlds in the sism 4 are really the smallest world in the sims series history the fact that you can edit worlds in the sims 3 is amazing especially worlds made by the sims 3 community nothing you can do much in the sims 4 when editing world and game developers nowadays still makes open world games but EA & Dicedidn't and their excuse is so bullshit Dice could make the sims 3 open world with old engine that was like launched in 2009 that year was really crazy when they could do that despite bugs in the sims 3, the gameplay is really good especially with story progression mods I still don't understand how the hell does people get blind eyes to the sims 4 and act like it's the best sims game in the world.....
im older than you guys, Im a Sims 2 and Sims 1 Simmer, and I didn't get to play sims 3 that much but Im gonna tell u, I felt the exact same way as you feel about sims 4!!!!! to me when the sims 3 came out, I couldn't just see no flaw !!!!! and still think that, there's a few cool things that make the Sims 3 unique but honestly, the first time I tried the sims 3 around 2010, I was amazed at how UNFINISHED it was, game was planned to be released in early 2009, but somehow they started firing people and something was happening at maxis, literally Will Wright got into a lawsuit and a feud that year and he literally quit that year also, they had to release the game until mid or late 2009, and it was clearly unfinished, just like sims 4 was supposed to be a mobile version, that became a base game, the sims 3 had a similar story, people my age will tell you what happened, sims 3 had potential, they were doing things right but it had to be stopped when it was around 70% completed, the whole game was done but they still had to do the animations, even textures and graphics, this is why we don't see them opening car doors or the grass and hairs with literally no texture but some weird unfinished mesh, half the jobs were supposed be rabbit holes but the other half and basic ones were real jobs, police station, hospitals, even the municipality and fire department were supposed to be real places as well as school, at the end of the month they had to release it as it was, all rabbit holes, even the cars, they were showing velocity and more graphics, than just driving around and turning around streets very poorly, the game was not finished on late 2009, and it wasn't gonna be finished in 2010 or 2011 either cause the legal battle EA and maxis was facing didn't finish any time sooner, so that was the result of sims 3, youre playing a 70% finished game, not bad, but still clearly unfinished
@@ReginaTrans_ As much as unfinished sims 3 was it still the only open world sims we ever got. The existence of the open world itself already proved that it already surpass it predecessor and the generation after that. I have play the sims since sims 2 all the way to sims 4 and I can say that sims 3 is still worth it even after all the critique and after all this years. The same things cannot be said with sims 4 with how limited it is. You can literally see how downside it is compared to sims 3 in every pack in every expansion. Heck even the base game is a total downgrade from open world. All in all you can't put sims 3 and sims 4 in the same place. It's not just a typical complain regarding new game. Something you missed with 4, if you have Parenthood installed and pack a lunch for them; they will eat it at school, but only if they didn't eat breakfast. They receive a positive moodlet about being loved.
I used to love doing that, but then it got bugged so that whenever I’d do that my kids would come home around lunch time and just....wouldn’t go back to school. It was weird.
wait do they not eat it if they had breakfast?! is that why my kids keep coming home with spoiled lunches? @@bgoth-yt5kn Well its like real life, when you were a kid (if you not now) and your parents give you a big pancake breakfast and then a sandwich at school you may not be hungry and not eat lunch. (not me I was a glutton as a kid but some kids lol)
@@Ilivepuppys but in real life kids have lunch time no matter what. some people get school lunch or eat what they brought from home, I figured that was the inspiration behind it. I didn’t realize it would still be dependent on their needs since they’re not actively being played. I could be too realistic of a player, but I feel like kids not eating the lunch defeats the whole parenting side of it and it’s a waste of food and therefore money (for my poorer sims).
The kid getting sent to military school if they get bad grades is so brutal, omg. Sims 1 was on another level. Also, the kid rushing home to show their parent their good grades in Sims 2 is sooo cute. I wish they had that in Sims 4
The things I hated about the cheering: it was really loud and piercing, went on forever, and could easily ensnare sims in bottleneck areas so that no one else could walk past them. Also, if the parent was in the middle of something when the kid arrived, they'd often not start cheering until the kid had finished and left to go walk their homework to the designated spot - which could be ALL THE WAY BACK AT THE MAILBOX unless you had a special homework desk. It was a cute idea, but the execution left a lot to be desired.
More like "Devolution" sims 2 kids go inside bus using the door and there's a driver, sims 3 kids teleport inside the bus which doesn't have animations and sims 4 bus doesn't exists.
I always hated that part! Like the parents should make them go actually, and make them stay late by helping clean or something, Idk do some type of punishment.
I wonder why they did that when it’s so unrealistic. Like sure, social services might visit to see if everything’s okay at home but whisking them away? And you never see them again? Harsh
Do love Sims 4, but Sims 2 and 3 were definitely better from a gameplay point of view. I’d like to see a Sims 4 with the type of game play and craziness from 2 and 3
Okay...Going to military school , being taken away from parents by social worker ... litterally made me scared , I remember how my school life was a nightmare , learning from the early morning and stayed up late till 1 AM just to learn many subjects ' by heart ' , ewwww...
The worst in sims 2 is that the kids would always carry their homework and put it down outside the house so you could never find it when it had been snowing 😭
I would just go into the buy mode because it removes snow from the ground haha. But sometimes I just couldn't find where they put the goddamn homework no matter what, so i had to wait until they came home from school the next day and follow them to see where they stack it 😂
My issue was always I gave them a desk to sit the homework on and made sure something was on the left side so I didn't have to move it and they would still complain they couldn't sit the work down and on the floor it went. Meanwhile I've seen sims who will put it in the right spot....
There's a mod which makes sims puts their's homeworks on their's desks, you just need to put the portrait mod on a desk, make a sim claim it and they will always leave the homework on the desk
" the sims 4 only problem was that, the sims 3 existed" I heard something like this once and I couldn't agree more. Sims 3 and 2 in my opinion will always be superior cause if you notice it seems like sims 4 is just everything in Sims 3 for a higher price and better quality. I remember when I use to play Sims 3 and be so entertained with just the base game and little details I forgot there were game packs and I never felt bored. But now when I play Sims 4 you have to pay so much money to even have more traits that should've been in the base game and I couldn't be bothered to play for atleast an hour, I would just create a sim then like never play that sim cause it was never fun anymore. I didn't realize how much better sims 3 is until sims 4 came out. If I could mention one thing that disappointed me the most it honestly the fact that sims just disappear to go to work, school etc. Ok I'm done with my rant now
The real problem with the Sims 4 is that it has not one, but *two* whole predecessors that still manage to outclass it in gameplay performance, not just the sims 3. Both Sims 2 and 3 had traits that actually defined each sim as unique individuals in retrospect of the Sims 4 and its standardization/sameness of personalities due to its overreliance on its poorly coded emotions system - a system that should reflect emotions based off the sim's traits but instead leave traits absolutely meaningless as all sims react solely based upon emotion w/the same programmed responses to whatever said stimuli. Both 2 and 3 didn't see sims having unsuited/conflicting emotional reactions to major events in their life because sims in both of _those_ games weren't perpetually hung up over prior, minor incidents, like brushing their teeth, that would then overtake their entire mood for half the day. Even if they didn't vanish to go to work or school, and they re-introduced cars, it wouldn't fix the Sims 4's foundational gameplay problem that shows itself once outside of CAS system.
@@Kitazia I'll never understand how people don't get this, and how people will still defend the Sims 4 when its two predecessors were and still are more advanced in terms of gameplay than S4 will ever be. In S2 if you catch your boyfriend cheating, your sim will yell at them and slap them, then their icon in your relationship tab turns red, and you stay mad at them for multiple days until their icon isn't red anymore! They'll get a thought bubble thinking about the cheater randomly and then get furious! Or they'll cry! In S4 if you catch your S.O. cheating you'll either get a sad or an angry moodlet for like one day. It doesn't effect your relationship with that person at all, after one day its like they forget, or if the decor is really nice and the food they just had was good they don't even act sad. Sims 4 emotions is a jumbled mess, I mean, their whole focus in S4 was emotions and somehow the sims came out emotionless, dull, and bland... don't even get me started on the traits system in the sims 4 either...or how there's no memory system...
I played sims 4 for over 10 hours recently. And that was ONLY because I installed a shit ton of mods. Without mods, the game is sooo boring, that give up after a few minutes. I can play sims 3 for the same amount of time without mods.
Every single day going to school in Sims 1. What a miserable existence. 😂 I think I like Sims 3 the most because you can really boost up relationships with the other kids while at school.
Yeah it was great bc you could meet every kid in town that way and it was really easy to meet other kids and teens to give your child a fleshed out friend group and dating pool.

10:12 Also note that the randomized traits depend on the performance. If they're doing avarage, the trait will be completely random. If they're doing bad, they will always have a negative randomized trait (like evil, mean-spirited, inappropriate, neurotic, and so on).
SERIOUSLY. Plus after some digging around, i found not only is sims 4 deprived of so much FUGGING content, they got a lot of anything actually cool or decent from pre-existing modders - they just, idk, buy the mod and ideas, integrate it into their game/expansions, and then release it. Which makes me realize they animate maybe like 3 animations/ make 10 outfits/ and everything else was from someone in the community But they’re charging you like $40-$50 per expansion for so little work on their part Edit: (also once they integrate the community stuff into their game, they have the original modders close down their links and websites promoting their mods. Like aliens originally had maybe 3 abilities but some modder gave aliens a ton more. So EA just bought their mod and the modder shutdown the downloads/sites.)

If a meteor hits school in TS3, all teens and teacher ran out except children because they stuck in school. This will result all the kids died in school.
This happened to me on a legacy challenge with my first kid! I'd never even seen a meteor shower in all the years I'd played it and on the first day of school every child died. Oh the plus side, he's one of the more interesting ghosts in my family graveyard.
I had a hack to disable school buses and work carpools. I would have to remember the time, and get everyone off to school, usually with just one car for the family and adults who also needed to get to work. Often I'd have to have the parent with the later start time at work drive all the kids and teens to school, then drive themselves to work, while the other walked to work. Or have a teen take all their siblings to school and both parents walk to work.
i'm biased since i'm a bit older and Sims 2 was my whole childhood. but i'll always think TS2 was the best. improved on all of what was missing in the original. gave us 360 3D graphics for the first time. that was all i wanted!! such great custom content as well. i remember being a part of the Sims 2 "writing" community that was mostly making photo albums, sharing them on the website, and they were basically Wattpad before Wattpad lol. there would be famous fic writers whose next chapter release would be so highly anticipated lol. there's a reason that there's still a thriving Sims 2 community out there after almost 20 years!!
Honestly, I call the Sims 4 now a $700+ building simulator (and even then, NO COLOR WHEEL) The amount of players that turn blind eyes to Sims 4 issues is mind blowing. I have 8 packed for S4, and all were bought on sale (as they only should be lol) though the newest pack looks great, it's a cover up. The game is still WAY behind S2 & S3 imo
When sims 4 came out, it’s as if we got a major downgrade. No open worlds, no cars, no real life features and we started with no terrain tools, no Color wheel, we only had simple but terrible Color swatches.

I didn't even know that Sims 1 had school buses. Maybe the Sims 4 actually is on the timeline but it's just Sims 0.5 because everything seems like it's in beta?🤔
It's like a beta because they completely scrapped and remade the game from scratch in 1 year. And then charged players to fix it. It was supposed to The Sims (2014), an always online reboot in a similar style to Simcity (2013). But the backlash from that caused them to scrap the ENTIRE THING and start over after ripping out all the online features. But they still used the engine they'd made for it which was optimized for fast loading so your internet went down every 5 seconds, you wouldn't been spending 2-3 minutes on a loading screen at a time. And since lots would be loaded as needed on the server, they could not have open world, which is why you teleport/load between every lot. that whole emotion thing the Sims 4 was allegedly built around? That was a gimmick they threw together in a few weeks after realizing that they needed to try and find an excuse for why the game was an empty shell, just before actually announcing what Sims 4 would actually be about. And then had the gall to claim that the game being empty was by design to focus more on the sims and their emotions. No it was empty because you idiots completely ignored people telling you since 2011 EXACTLY what was going to happen if they went through with their All Titles Always Online by Q3 2013 plan, and they ignored them. I don't care if they release a giant patch for free that makes all the sub-40 dollar dlcs basegame, the 40 dollar dlcs 20, and makes the whole game exactly like Sims 3 but better, I still would not buy it because of how pissed off I am at them. And what little we know about Sims 5 drove my expectations through the bottom of the septic tank, to the point I don't even want to look at Sims news and instead have been focusing on news about their competitors.
Yeah- well they had a carpool too (which evolved as you did better- and there were fun ones at the top like a helicopter, a limo or getting to fly off into the sky) and everyone else also arrived in a car. Sims 4 could never
@@RigobertosTacoShop I doubt anyone on the sims team is viewing cars as a priority since it's not even an open world (ik there's still a lot that could be done with it like teens getting their license + it would just feel great to not have to add sized up toy cars/ugly cars from debug when building but it still isn't). They've been slowly adding missing features like even very needed gameplay features to make your sims feel even slightly more unique/human (sentiments, likes/dislikes in base game + lifestyles in snowy escape) and other things we've been begging for (bunkbeds were the #1 most requested things for sure, and now sectionals have joined the journey too FINALLY even if sadly they're exclusive to a pack at least for now). Also new haircolours, new skintone tools => some of the main things we've had issues with because of how limited customizing is in this game. Sooooo honestly I don't see why they will suddenly revert back to only adding superficial content each time, I personally feel like things like cars & spiral staircases which are heavily requested too might be up next. Some say a generations pack is hinted, maybe both those things + more can be back with cars being released both for Basegame & with more styles for the pack, like ladders in eco lifestyle.
Just realized that Sims 4 basically took away a lot of the realness of the actual life simulation games. Like example when “banishing” the children just literally- vanished. Unlike the other first 3, they have the actual animation of “banishing” the failing student. And lot more🙁
It's not just your game, the grounding and scolding features in Sims 3 is hella broken. I had to get a mod to stop all of the scolding and grounding because it wasn't fun, it was just irritating; if a teen gets grounded, you can't go to school, but if they skip school, they get scolded and grounded; it's a never-ending, infuriating, loop. Also, if your child sim gets sick, you can cancel the interaction to go to school and you'll get a notification from a teacher thanking you for not sending your gross sick child to school, BUT if a TEEN is sick, they still have to go to school; if you cancel their interaction, it acts as if they are skipping and any nearby adult will scold and ground them... However, I still think Sims 3 is the best.
Yeah, these scolding and punisment interactions from Generations were really bad. Just my first encounter with them was terrible. I send a child to go fishing before school, thinking he has more than enough time to get to school. Well, turned out I was wrong and he got to school late. Didn't pay that much attention to it, until the poor boy got home and got scolded by adult Sim who wasn't even his parent, just a man who lived in the same house. And the worst thing was that it even wasn't the boy's fault, it was totally my fault, because I underestimated the time he needs to get to school. And yet, instead of me being punished, it was this poor boy. Not fair at all.
I have a mod that makes it manual and the game does it too but a box will come up like "Skyla is skipping school should Kelly scold her?" and if you say no they won't scold them if they say yes but change your mind later or you want to pick the punishment you can cancel the parent scolding the child and then go into the new punishment section and choose one you wanna use instead.
I mean the sick thing is pretty realistic in my experience. My mom would keep me home from school if I had the sniffles when I was little, whereas in high school, if I could walk, I was going lol
I’ve been playing the sims 3 more recently and the homework mechanic is pretty good in that game. I usually either have the parents help their kids with their homework or have the kids do their homework with their siblings. I wish we still had Generations for the Sims 4, also the ability to send them to boarding school, or different types of schools based on how their personalities are.
I think a lot of people prefer the Sims 2, but it isn’t even available to buy anymore. Neither is the Sims 1. So I feel like most people can only go back to 3.
Now can we all agree TS3 is the peak of the entire series? Insane freedom, tons of options and scenarios, chaos and randomness. That's what The Sims should be like.
@@Antoine_Bizans idk but i like the sims 4. i first played the sims 1 then the sims 2. i only played the sims 3 for like 30 mins. i like the gameplay of the sims 4.
Same here!! I was thinking about it the other day during one of those moments when I actually PLAY TS4, rather than build a house and quit. lol This video reminds me of just how much TS4 left out.
I was so stoked when I played Sims 2 for the first time and there were days of the week. From that moment on, I could never go back to Sims 1. Still love sims 1 though but even something as simple as adding in days of the week made it more real to me.
One missed detail: Sims 3 had unique robes for your school Smuggsworth Prep School was black LeFromage Art School was red School of Peace and Love was white Dribbledine Sports Academy was green Fort Starch Military School was blue.
Yes, even though 3 was also good (can’t judge 1 since I wasn’t even able to walk or talk yet at the time LmAo) but 2 has a charm tk it that I can’t explain
For me Sims 2 was more realistic than other it has zodiac signs, you had to buy Food to fill the fridge, you had to go to mall to buy clothes, you had to build relationships with co workers and manager to get promoted, you had to educate children to be neat and wise ☑️..now days everything is Automatically perfect 👌🏼 which not interesting :)
Every time i watch your videos, it makes me realize how great Sims 2 and Sims 3 are compared to Sims 4. Sure there's some cool stuff in Sims 4, it's more realistic, but there's just something with 2 and 3 that makes it better haha
"There are no week days, so children must go to school every single day" ohh no I can't even imagine what that'd be like irl bless those sim children's hearts
I've been playing the sims 3 for at least 10 yrs and yet I still find things in these videos that I had no idea you could do! I never knew sims could copy other sims homework! I just love how even now the game is so intricate that I'm still finding features that I didn't know about to this day. Love the sims 3!! Although I do wish the private school thing carried over from sims 2 bc I just think it's so cool lol
Johnny's breakdown after setting down his homework on the desk is such a mood. Most of the time when I play TS3 I barely cared about my child's grades. I didn't know that in the other games there are consequences for an F. The idea of Military school in TS1 and never seeing your child again is sad but also the fact that they don't get days off from school.

Never cease to amaze me the amout of progress from ts1 to ts2 to ts3, you can feel the love and hardwork they've put on these games. And then, ts4.
A franchise should only get better and build on what they have done previously, but TS4 have stripped so much of what was great in TS2 and TS3, hell even TS1, it even had a school bus.

@@Ilivepuppys but in real life kids have lunch time no matter what. some people get school lunch or eat what they brought from home, I figured that was the inspiration behind it.
I wish that the Sims 2 had a personal inventory so that the homework would go right into it.

The worst in sims 2 is that the kids would always carry their homework and put it down outside the house so you could never find it when it had been snowing 😭
Oh my lord, I would have to cheat to find that goddamned homework lol
I would just go into the buy mode because it removes snow from the ground haha. But sometimes I just couldn't find where they put the goddamn homework no matter what, so i had to wait until they came home from school the next day and follow them to see where they stack it 😂
So trueee
Agree wholeheartedly

In S4 if you catch your S.O. cheating you'll either get a sad or an angry moodlet for like one day. It doesn't effect your relationship with that person at all, after one day its like they forget, or if the decor is really nice and the food they just had was good they don't even act sad. Sims 4 is totally focused on social activities, but it lacks on real life daily activities. Sims 3 is far superior.
Agreed. They should really add lots of the features from the Sims 2 and 3 as updates to the base game.
SERIOUSLY. Plus after some digging around, i found not only is sims 4 deprived of so much FUGGING content, they got a lot of anything actually cool or decent from pre-existing modders - they just, idk, buy the mod and ideas, integrate it into their game/expansions, and then release it. Which makes me realize they animate maybe like 3 animations/ make 10 outfits/ and everything else was from someone in the community
But they’re charging you like $40-$50 per expansion for so little work on their part
Edit: (also once they integrate the community stuff into their game, they have the original modders close down their links and websites promoting their mods. Like aliens originally had maybe 3 abilities but some modder gave aliens a ton more. So EA just bought their mod and the modder shutdown the downloads/sites.)

@@RedRoseSeptember22 That’s not much of how it goes for me. I have a cyst in my spine that pinched my nerves in that area, so it causes my hand (specifically my right one) to shake a lot even when I don’t drink coffee. Just saying.

This is why I wish we had a Sims 1-4 Collection for Steam or whatever. I don't care which game was better or worse, I just wanna play them all again! 😔
3 & 4 are both on Steam, while 1 & 2 you can find archived around the Web...
So what have we learned today?
The Sims series is evolving, but backwards
The Sims timeline is weird enough. 🤣🤣
Nah.
Sims 3 > Sims 2 > Sims 1
4th is the only exception. It evolved in many ways but devolved in a bigger amount of ways.
@@faustovii1085 the only thing that devolved in sims 4 is the gameplay.
@@prodbykomrebi not the only one. The immersion is also downgraded a lot. For example in 3rd the bus went to school (you could see it) and in 4th it just teleports
@@faustovii1085 Maybe in World building. I was anticipating to just walk around the world in Sims 3, but in the end the gameplay still didn't life up to sims 2 & 1 (In MY opinion). For me Sims 1 is great nostalgia, awesome furniture and soundtrack. Sims 2 best gameplay and 3 was actually just about building sims and homes. In the end I didn't even walk around that much. Sims 4 I never REALLy started playing, because it just didn't catch me the same way. But that's how it is for me personally
The Sims 2 bus horn gave me a serious wave of nostalgia. Its iconic really
SO TRUE!!!! I THOUGHT THE SAME!!!
It's also reminds me of GTA 3 and VC
watching this has made me realise how much sims has evolved and it's crazy. as a kid the sims was so advanvced and cool and then sims 2 came along and it was even better. now look at us, who would have thought?
Not me lol
it's just sad that sims 4 isnt as detailed as the previous games, i get bored for 30 mins playing the game. so i went back to playing sims 3
It has some detail like the animation changes when you level up most skills and the sound of your sims playing instruments depending on their skill plus some more similar details that doesn't seem less detailed to me
Sims 2 can't be matched. I watch that guy sharing all 50 things that Sims 2 had, so realistic + you could do your OWN homework + see how much you had left to complete. You could also when in college, complete your dissetation + you can see how much you had left, it's exactly what happens in the real world. It's sad how Sims 4 is so simple + less complex, it's easy + calm... where as the other games you had to literally work hard on your sims + it was way more fun. I got bored of Sims 4, but the building is the only great thing about Sims 4 HAHA !
@@rickeyritchie6606 some animations and some sounds doesn't really fix the problem with the depth in the overall gameplay ,yeah some animations and sounds do change in sims 2/3 as well when they get better at that skill, heck, traits even effected how sims do the same task in sims 3,for example sims with different traits draw the same artwork with different detail and colors according to their traits,or when bookcase models change according to how many books are in it,this is what we call detail
@@randomperson093 sometimes visual aren't the main details in games a game could have more gameplay detail or variety of different mechanics than visuals basically visuals aren't everything especially in a game that isn't supposed to be super realistic plus i said some of the things don't change in skill level in sims 3 not all of them and they could add more stuff to make up for the lack of some of those things
@@rickeyritchie6606 that doesn't really change the fact that for example the trait/personality system, one of the main mechanics of the sims series is pretty much useless without mods in sims 4,traits only create a modlet for s few hours and it's gone, these are the things that lack depth,i mean....sims 1 had a school bus what's sims 4's excuse for not having it?
And also there's a series about details in sims 2/3 that aren't present in other titles in the series, and another point,if you're going to use the visual details as an example than say that visual details aren't the main thing is kinda....weird
Sims 4 is almost 7 years, saying that they'll add it someday doesn't really work for this game anymore

If a meteor hits school in TS3, all teens and teacher ran out except children because they stuck in school. This will result all the kids died in school.
That got darker and darker
This happened to you to🥲 I had to pair so many people up to make babies
This happened to me on a legacy challenge with my first kid! I'd never even seen a meteor shower in all the years I'd played it and on the first day of school every child died. Oh the plus side, he's one of the more interesting ghosts in my family graveyard.
Now i kinda wanna try this xD
I think that got patched out, but it's pretty hilarious.
I loved making my teens take their little siblings to school in TS3. TS4 lacks so much
I had a hack to disable school buses and work carpools.
Honestly, I call the Sims 4 now a $700+ building simulator (and even then, NO COLOR WHEEL)
The amount of players that turn blind eyes to Sims 4 issues is mind blowing. I have 8 packed for S4, and all were bought on sale (as they only should be lol) though the newest pack looks great, it's a cover up. The game is still WAY behind S2 & S3 imo

Sims 4 could never
@@ZanathKariashi with sims 5 they’re just redoing the online thing they scrapped
@@ZanathKariashi yet you’d think adding in these feature would of been possible but here we are. Almost a decade later and STILL NOT FOOKING CARS MATE
Sims Bus = 2D
Sims Bus 2 = 3D Upgrade
Sims 3 = Cosmetic Upgrade with Teleportation Capabilities.
Sims 4 = Recession hit.
Just realized that Sims 4 basically took away a lot of the realness of the actual life simulation games. Like example when “banishing” the children just literally- vanished. Unlike the other first 3, they have the actual animation of “banishing” the failing student. And lot more🙁
I think its because EA has been taken over by millennials who don't care about details.
It's what happens when women take over a gaming franchise. Just look at what they did to Battlefield.

I’ve been playing the sims 3 more recently and the homework mechanic is pretty good in that game. I usually either have the parents help their kids with their homework or have the kids do their homework with their siblings. Also if for some reason they don’t get it done that night they can work on late homework the next day at school
Sims 2 and 3 are so adorable and cute. Even the sims 1. Sims 4is just... so plain.
