I need prayer please. Im a 70 yr. old widow. My husband died a year ago with COPD and i am behind him with the same illness which is a result of going against God and choosing a very unhealthy lifestyle...Smoking! We are born again Christians. We quit smoking 20 yrs ago but the damage had been done. What i need prayer for is, I thought i would be so peaceful with dieing and being with the Lord. Im ready for heaven. BUT every since "Sound of Freedom" came out its brought up some very strong memories and bad feelings of some ritual abuse i was subject to as a child from the ages of 3 to 5 years old. Our next door neighbors were Witches and santanist. Ive been a Christian since i was 11 but I've never been able to quite believe that God really loves me. I think I was probably brainwashed. I've been in counseling for years but this was never resolved. I don't have a counselor right now or a pastor or even a friend that would understand what I'm going through. Im sorry this is so long...but i need prayer about this...BAD! Thanks y'all.

Meditate on God's scriptures. They are for you. We all have things we wish we could undo. God knows this and He loves us anyway. He knows our story. He sent Jesus to make things right again for you. I will pray for you. I lost my wife from ovarian cancer. I too have lived a unfaithful life. But we have a counselor, Jesus Christ! His name was called a wonderful counselor. The holy spirit will give you peace. He is faithful & just to forgive us our sins & cleanse us of all unrighteousness. On the cross, he said it is finished. Then gave up the ghost. 3 days later he rose again. He will give you peace. I'll pray , you pray. It shall be done for you. Thank you Jesus.

Great study thanks! Interesting to note how over the last few years the term "GOAT" became a commonly used acronym meaning greatest of all time. Whereas the term "sheep" was branded as a slur against blind/ignorant or otherwise foolish/gullible behavior. Making a vice like pride a virtue is deception through inversion of the perfect will of God and is of the anti-Christ spirit.
Very good observation. I watch a lot of Christian apologetics and Muslims bring this up saying why should they be sheep by joining Christianity, implying sheep are somehow dumb or weak. They don't seem to understand that Jesus is our shepherd and putting our trust in his care and protection we are free, and kept from being led astray.

I too noticed the media movement to push this with videos and athletes and to change the phrase from all-time great or one of the greatest which has still some humility and that it was no accident. Muhammad Ali tried to trademark it but it wasn't super trendy until around COVID. There was even a truck that called it's gear changes or offroading settings GOAT or some.thing and with each one I just shook my head at how anyone wants to be one of those. Eagles swoop down on them and knock them off mountains. Anyhow the scape goat is prominent in many ancient cultures and through time of Jesus Messiah. It's no accident...

Focusing on career and money is a mistake. It is never too late to have a relationship with the Lord. Life is short. Keep praying and help others as if they were Jesus himself. I will also pray for you.
I have been waiting for about 10 years since my wife was revealed to me. It is very difficult to believe after all that time. But we as the children of God must trust our Father and that He knows the perfect time our spouse will be ready for us and us ready for them.
The love I have for her and the love I felt from her when we were in college is something beyond what I ever experienced.
It is worth the wait. I can still say that even after ten years. So hold on to your faith, trust that God answered before you asked or prayed. Believe He knows the desires of our hearts.
But you must work on your relationship with Him first and also work on yourself and improve your character. Strive to be the best version of yourself that you can be. God will eventually lead you to the person He set apart for you. God bless.

Man oh man , there is a Book that answers these questions if you really do want Truthful answers which I'm %100 confident you already know but here goes one simplified yet Powerful difference between The Word of God The Holy Scriptures The Bible and the other stories you stated; One text speaks of The Love that would Sacrifice Your own Self for another, the act of selflessness as opposed to selfishness. Read and study all of the texts and stories mentioned and decide Who and Which of the Protagonists You Will Honor and Who is Worthy of Your Honor and decide for yourself and that will determine where your Heart and True Love resides. This answer is from my Heart not a selfish answer and one that I sincerely hope you would truthfully ponder for it , I Believe, carries a great weight and A Truth that can set you free. I believe Jesus is the Son of God and was sacrificed for Our sin and resurrected on the 3rd day to sit at the right hand of the Father and that whosoever believeth on Him shall have Life and that Everlasting. It isn't a fantasy and he stands at the door to your heart knocking and all we need to do is answer and let him in and we will become a new creature in Christ Jesus and this is truly the Greatest Gift God has mercifully blessed us with to be in His Holy Presence for All Eternity The Presence of The Father And Of The Son And Of The Holy Spirit Forever Amen! Ecclesiastes 11:7 is how wisdom is attained by reaping righteousness. Light is sown like a seed for the righteous. Psalm 97:11. Look at the book of wisdom 5:6 and 17:2
The Holy nation, the true Israel, is the sons of light, those caused to be righteous by abiding in the shelter of the Most High (sunlight) and the shadow of the Almighty (night) for their sabbath rest, keeping His covenants for day and night. Jeremiah 33:20,25
There are a couple of whole chapters there so eloquent relating wisdom as the woman of proverbs 31 and the wife companion everyone requires.
Walking in the light is where the voice of the Lord is heard and where His sheep are fed.

Eous is a latin suffix that means "resembling, displaying the nature of, composed of, having the form or qualities of".
The RIGHTeous are those composed of the qualities of the RIGHT.
The RIGHT are the sheep/wise.
In the patable 9f tue wise and foolish virgins, only the WISE (on the right) are saved.
I was reading this in family bible reading the other day and then that night read where he was crucified with one on his left and one on his right..

I’ve heard that when the High Priest went into the Holy of Holies once each year on Yom Kippur, that the blood was always sprinkled on the RIGHT side of the Mercy Seat. Your teaching about the right and left/sheep and goats makes much sense, especially when combined with this. Those on the right our sprinkled with the blood of redemption!

Jesus being seated at the right of The Father would mean The Father is seated on HIS Left, wouldn't it?
It says to be sprinkled eastward on the mercy seat but covering the whole seat. It is more indicative of a direction to fling the blood. If someone was sitting on the mercy seat that direction would be to the left. Its my opinion that it is for the offering of sin which is the goat sacrifice. The bull was for the high priest. Jesus was the lamb sacrifice which was also a peace offering to God but can also be sin offering.
@@lcarole3131 Is the Father actually represented in the heavenly temple or is He completely outside of creation? “The heavens and the heavens of the heavens are unable to contain You.” It could well be that we should understand “right hand of the Father” the way we understand someone being another’s “right hand man” and every representation of the Creator is and has always been Yeshua/Jesus whether pre-incarnate or as our kinsman-redeemer.

I was raised in the Catholic Church and never felt close to God. So I asked God to send me a neon sign as to what to do. That week I received an unwelcome letter from my current church and on my back porch was the message I needed to leave the church so I joined a Bible study group and never feeling close to God due to upbringing I was reading the book of John what they did to Jesus and just started crying how could anyone do that? My life changed completely. God sent someone to help and rather than embrace him they decide to kill him. All I can pray is God convict their hearts and change their minds seeing what they're losing out on. Sorry for the long response your comment triggered a memory. However, this changed when my uncle passed away earlier this year. His passing compelled me to strive for a closer connection to God, believing in His saving grace.
Embarking on a journey of self-discovery, I began reading the Bible, though comprehension eluded me initially despite multiple attempts. so I asked Jesus Christ for wisdom, intelligence, knowledge, perseverance, and patience. Miraculously, I Began to really understand the Scriptures.
Over the past two months, I've been in repentance, Surrendering my burdens, anxiety, lust, and alcohol consumption to God. Although the journey has been challenging, it's brought about a transformative sense of peace and a newfound love for life.
In response to these changes, I've joyfully embraced a role within my church, utilizing the gift of singing that God has bestowed upon me. This path of spiritual growth and service stands as a testament to the remarkable power of faith and dedication to Jesus Christ. many people also said that i have really changed and some of them don't like it and some do. but only a few. But it's okay i am here to serve Jesus christ.

There is a contradiction here. If the left side of Jesus symbolised the position of the rejected ones (goats), the mother of the Zebedee brothers could not have requested that one of his sons should be on the left side of Jesus in his kingdom! Her own right and left does not connote the right and left division in the other verses about separating the sheep and goat.

I believe that's why Jesus basically tells her that she doesn't know what she's asking him. She believes she's asking a good thing, but doesn't understand that there is a distinct difference from Jesus' right & left hand. She doesn't have the understanding that there will be a separation of two groups.
In a lot of places in the Bible it talks about the left & right. & it usually always talks about the righteous & the unrighteous.
I even see it in the political sense too. The left (where the democrats stand ) & the right (where the Christian’s were standing)
Can you please show me Chapter and verse where Jesus was a Republican and not a Democrat? The NT discusses shared property and Jesus told the rich young ruler to sell all that he had and give it to the poor. Also, I thought He said we would know them by their fruit, not political party. If you want to be in a place that doesn’t separate the state from religion, you could check out a place like Iran.

I feel the same way. I am reading through the Bible finally. I do think that absolutely helps with understanding. But there are many books or chapters in the Bible I just don't understand. I did find that sometimes a different translation helps. But also a study guide. I started 'Knowing the Bible 101' (a study book) recently. And that seems to help. But there are many books to help explain the Bible. Maybe pick a scripture that you are confused by, and search for a study guide for that scripture. And if you can talk to someone who may know the Bible better. Perhaps, your preacher?

I had a problem when I was younger trying to understand. When I came back to Christ, older, my first prayer when I opened up, the Bible was please dear Lord help me understand this book. I started with the new testament and I completely read the entire Bible. It took me four months. I enjoyed every bit of it, and I understood what I was reading fully. I’ve been praying to the Lord and reading my Bible ever since. I know I’m saved and I know I’m free praise Jesus.

I and a lot of people were standing below the Holy Throne of Holy God. We were abt a foot shorter than the platform of the Throne.

(For nearly 35years I've sought the face of Holy God as we're instructed.)

I saw our Most High God seated on His throne. His power shone like a brilliant silvery white light of sheer energy, standing a few feet before Him was our Lord Jesus on the platform looking forward. As my eyes shifted from our Father to our Lord...the Fathers image became frozen to my view. Jesus eyes were casting a powerful energy of red. Some would say fire. All of us watching were standing close to one another very quiet in observation. Then i awoke with a great sense of humility and Honor!
The people and i were standing on the right side below the Throne of Holy God and Lord Jesus!!!

The other side of the throne was to dark for me to see what was there.

I have never associated the mother asking favor for her sons with this teaching... Not until you started pointing out that Jesus said "you know not what you ask". Immediately I had to say... so why would that have been a controversial question (other than a mother's bias love pushing for her sons to receive the best) ... At that moment 'the right' and 'the left' jumped out to me as separating the sheep from the goats. You went on to bring in the thieves on the cross...which I did not think of and I was surely blessed. I think you are spot-on... and I love to find these little gems in God's word that we sometimes just pass over while reading without another thought. Thanks... I subscribed!
Rev. 3:21 says that: "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne." So we see that this right to sit with Him is for believers: in fact those who Overcome the world and the mark and the beast.
Very true. This are the same people in: Revelation 20:4-6

Apparently your idea of being an overcomer is different than actual scripture!

It also says in Rev. 12:11 that "and they overcame him (the antichrist) because of the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even until Death."
Also in Rev. 14:12-13 it says: "Here is the perseverance of the saints (believers) who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. You need to understand that not all scripture your reading is about believers, Revelation 14:12-13 is referring to the SAINTS who were left behind and refuse to adhere to the Antichrist and his mark. The too are referred to as saints as they ARE the SAINTS of the time of wrath.
You must be able to discern WHO scripture is speaking about and THAT is why you have a false rapture belief AND a false gospel.

Good interpretation. I would like to add. The disciples vision of the left and right seats were false. Jesus said, can you drink the cup I am about to drink? We know any cup of suffering we receive is prepared by Jesus. The two seated next to Him when He enters His Kingdom drink the cup He is about to drink but prepared by the Father. Jesus' cup is prepared by the Father too.
So Jesus enters His Kingdom with those who are seated on His right and left. Knowing the persons who sit with Him when He enters His Kingdom reveals when He entered His Kingdom.
He Entered Hades as a victorious King and Judge. He freed the captives and took His seat at the right hand of the Father.

Thank you for your videos and wisdom on scripture, I can read it time and time again but never get anything out of it. But listen to someone (you) read it and it’s a total different scenario makes all the sense in the world… dyslexia and Attention Deficit Disorder makes it even worse on anything but I’ve never noticed it being as bad one anything else like it is when I’m reading the Bible.. read 4-5 pages and couldn’t tell you what I read on any of them. Very strong observation, I think.
One thing that occurred to me as I pondered this was that from Matt 24 through 25, Jesus tells three parables about "the Kingdom of God AT that time" (the end of days). All three are about faithful and unfaithful servants, not believers and unbelievers. So in the case of the sheep and the goats here, the goats are gathered out of the "church". 1 John clearly teaches that a brother who hates another brother is really a child of the Adversary. In Matt 25, I believe Jesus is sorting those who lived the life of love and those who did not. "Whoever did this for the least of my BROTHERS, did it for me".
This interpretation will grate on those who do not understand that we naturally live out what we truly believe. Faith and works (deeds, not works of the law as talked about in Galatians) cannot be separated. Trusting God automatically changes how a life is lived. Look at the Israelites coming out of Egypt. Living by faith (trust in God) often looks insane to human eyes. They took a million people into the desert where there is no food or water. We know that since God is able and trustworthy, they were never in danger, but their lack of trust in God led to sin over and over (making idols, grumbling and complaining, disobedience) and most of them fell dead in the desert and did not enter God"s rest. Hebrews goes over this in detail. Especially pay attention to Heb 11. The pattern is repeated over and over "because they trusted, they acted". They moved, suffered, built, sacrificed, defeated, endured, etc. True faith ACTS. If Abraham had not trusted God's promise completely, he never would have been willing to sacrifice Isaac. Sacrificing Isaac was about trusting God's character and PROMISE as One who cannot lie and his action proved that he trusted. If he did not trust God, he never would have climbed the mountain with Isaac. This is the trust we are called to as the people who trust God and are faithful to him.

I believe that, through soaking yourself in the gospels, you have reached a point where you understand the way the authors are using language to communicate their ideas. I’ve done a lot of work on Revelation in this way, but you have inspired me to look afresh at the gospels and to find the patterns that communicate truths to us. Have you investigated how repeated word pairs and triads may be forming chiastic structures in the text? Chiasms are amazing for offsetting one idea against another, or reinforcing an idea through the chiastic structure. Again, beautifully taught, and thank you for the inspiration.

The connections you make within scriptures enlarges the overall picture. We become so familiar with the 'stories' that we forget to re-read them. As we grow older we should also be growing wiser. Each time we read those 'familiar' passages, our maturing spirit will understand further into the significance of each word.

The part about Jesus going to becrucified I was getting what you said about them going through the motions of ordaining Him as King. I had just watched your video about Paul's thorn in the his side about him glorifying in his weakness. It all reminded me of king Saul and king David, that the people wanted a handsome, strong looking king over themselves, that's what they would pick, but God picks a king that represents Him that's like Him, he may look weak yet He's strong, He may not look the part yet He is the part. That's why it's best for us to do like Paul and let go and let God do it because His strength will truly be made strong in our weakness, and He will be glorified and our trust, faith, wisdom, love, understanding will be made stronger in Him and it will help build a stronger real relationship with our Father, Lord and Savior and the Holy Spirit. I think you’re correct. God’s righteous right hand is mentioned throughout scripture. I asked the other day what is God’s left hand for? I asked is God’s left hand for wrath? You through scripture just answered my question. There is something very special about God’s right hand.
My brother and I talk about this particular scripture all the time. As a matter of fact, just yesterday. Even though we have a different interpretation, this is the first time I've heard anyone else speak about it. Praises unto the King Immortal, the King Eternal, the King Invisible, the One born King. Praises unto King Jesus, my Lord and my God. We have a little different theory on this verse that I would love to share with you someday.

I was compelled by god to speak to a friend of mine, it was actually during the middle of an argument. I told him that the troubled times that we were in were just the beginning. I also told him to hold fast because he had an important obligation ahead of him and that he will on the right hand of god. I haven’t read the Bible and I was unaware of the significance of being on the right or the left, it was just something that I was compelled to say. The truth in the words were undeniable as we were both enveloped in the Holy Spirit as we spoke, at the exact moment and to the exact magnitude.

Note the words 'prepared from the foundation of the world' there .. what was the kingdom established at the foundation of the world - how did man relate to it?
It was a forest garden, that man was made to tend.(Gen) Again, Jesus stated that "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." (Mat 7:21) .. the very first commandment ever given to man was to tend this garden that God had made: it is the consequence of this obedience that provides the guarantee of sufficiency:
(Mat 6:24-34) "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. If one is serving Mammon (riches) then one is obliged to use money to purchase those things that one needs .. but if one is serving God, and tending a forest garden, these needs are provided as a consequence. Imagine if you will, a time that comes when it is impossible to use money to purchase the necessities of life without bowing to the worldly authority of the beast .. how will the faithful be sustained? It is because they, in faith, chose to be obedient to God, and heeding the words of Jesus, returned to their purpose, and began tending the garden once more. The birds of the air, the beasts of the field, all perform the purpose for which they were created, and in so doing, they receive their sustenance .. because of his nature, Man is able to chose to _not_ serve his purpose .. and when he does, he will experience all of the ills that come as a consequence of that disobedience. Man may also chose to embrace his purpose, and to live under natural law, as well .. and then he may enter the Kingdom. Some of you will come to this realization sooner than others, and begin working to manifest the Kingdom, and others will see it only later, but the reward is the same for everyone - there may be a parable or two about that, as well. 🌻🌎🕊

We have all been lost, and walked away from GOD, in our lives, and he corrects us accordingly. I too will be 70 this month, and I am still chasing GOD, but I FINNALLY figured out, he never left me, his hand has always been in mine, I deal with guilt and sadness everyday, but JESUS has erased that, I am the one that has to let go and know he is my GOD and loves me, it is so hard for us to forgive ourselves, but JESUS has paid the price for us in full. The Bible teaches us that our works do follow us , they are the only thing we bring with us to heaven. We will be judged according to our works. Our righteous acts make up the robe we will be wearing in heaven. We don't want to be found naked at the sounding of the last trumpet.
We are saved by grace through faith, but we can lose our salvation if we don't repent. When we truly repent, our sins are forgiven, and our bad works are blotted out. If we turn away from the word of God and sin, and don't repent then our good works that we had done, are no more counted.
Praise God that we have forgiveness of our sins through repentance .

Thank you for this bible study. It is evident that those being judged are separated with the saved on the Lord's right and the condemned on his left but I believe there are persons that will be given authority with the Lord and will sit at his right and his left. Prior to Jame's and John's mother requesting these prominent positions the Lord took them along with Peter to see a special event showing him transfigured in a vision of him in his kingdom (Matthew 16:27 - 17:9). In this vision he is glorified and is seen conversing with Moses and Elijah. It doesn't say that Moses and Elijah are on his left and right here but in Zechariah chapter 4 there is a vision given of the Lord being flanked on his left and right by anointed ones who are represented by olive trees or branches. These two olive trees are then referred to in Revelation chapter 11 when the two witnesses are prophesied about. The two witnesses are not named but during their 42 months of prophesying they prevent the rain and strike the earth with every sort of plague including turning water into blood. My guess is that the ones who do gain these prominent positions will have similar characteristics to Moses and Elijah and so these past prophets are used to prefigure the two witnesses/prophets to come.

That was a very nice study of Matthew 20:20-24. Thank you for researching that info for us. Matthew 20 is a great example that Jesus gave us. Whenever we consider Matthew 20:20-24, we should really consider Matthew 19:16-19 as well, because it seems like they were meant to be considered together. In both instances, Jesus was asked a very specific question, and he gave very specific answers to both questions that can give us insight into the way God sees things.
As the host pointed out in chapter 20, the mother was asking if her 2 sons could reign as kings in heaven alongside of Jesus. His answer was that it was not his to give, but his Father had pre-ordained people for that privilege from before the world was founded. This is affirmed by Ephesian 1:1-5, which is a sacred secret, by the way. That is why people find themselves confused by the topic. It is that way with all the sacred secrets, wherever they are found in the Bible, there is where you will always find confusion.
In Matthew 19:16-19, Jesus was asked a different question and gave a different answer. He was asked what one has to do to acquire eternal life. His answer was to basically follow the commandments, (that would make you righteous), and you will be fine. But he added, but if you want to be perfect, (or holy), go sell your stuff and give it to the poor and follow me. We all know that his followers were martyred. The answer that he gave is vital in understanding the future of us all. He didn't say that it was already decided by his Father or that it was not his to give as he did in Matthew 20, so it is apparent that we are talking about 2 different questions and 2 different outcomes. Stop and think about that for a moment.
The reality: We are all under a death sentence. No matter how you slice and dice it, right now, as things stand, we are under a death sentence and are all going to die. How can we be under a death sentence and yet still be considered to be holy enough to go to heaven and be a king with Jesus at the same time? He had to suffer a horrible death to get to that pay grade and he's God's son! That is what is required to go to heaven. If you are not holy, you are not going to heaven. We were not under a death sentence originally. But, as a result of Adam and Eve sinning, we now grow old and perish. This was not a reward for honorable efforts, but part of the punishment that results from breaking a law of the universe. So, can anyone explain how we have taken a punishment that is awful and turned it into a great blessing like ending up being a king alongside of Jesus, himself? Just how does that happen? The ones who end up in heaven are martyrs who were given that position before the world was founded.
Jesus made a distinction between just following the commandments, (that makes you righteous), and being willing to give up your very life for the cause, (that makes you holy). Jesus made a distinction between being righteous and being holy. He made a distinction between having eternal life on earth as a subject of his new kingdom and having treasure in heaven as kings and priests to the tribes of Israel. See: Matthew 19:28,29. There is an earthly eternal life for the righteous and an eternal heavenly hope for the holy. Blessings.

@@oldenoughtoknowbetter6473 You are so right! The earth is like a rental unit after having bad tenants for years. You have to throw the tenants out and recondition the unit. What I look for even more is the reconditioning of humans. Isaiah 1:5 states that we are in a sick condition from head to toe. Because we are in this narcissistic race to the bottom, God states that He will give us new hearts and a new pure language to go along with that new earth. And as for the wicked one, you will turn to look for him in his place, but he will not be, see: Psalms 37:10. Best wishes.
The time appointed for sitting in the throne room of heaven is about half an hour for the purpose of just judgement (Rev 8:1) There will be ‘in the renewal of all things’ 12 thrones right and left of His glorious throne for the purpose of just judgement (Matt 19:28)

Really helpful teaching. The reverse coronation concept of Christ's crucifixion helped me. Reminded me of the curse over Adam and Eve who learned the low estate of nakedness after the fall, which will be reversed when this mortality puts on immortality. Put me in mind of the unwelcome wedding guest who tried to enter the wedding supper in his own clothes.

Yes, you are right on with that scriptural basis, it is how I have been led to believe it also. And as a side note, when Jesus asked if they could drink of the cup and they said yes, James was the first disciple that died, beheaded, and John was the last disciple that died exiled on Patmos, book ending the apostles, on the right and on the left.

Great video, and I believe you are correct. It is important to not forget the word "prepared" and its crucial connection to the gospel as a predetermined outcome. Those on the right will remain on the right because of the power of God, while those on the left never knew God and served their purpose to reveal His justice.
I disagree that everything is predetermined. Rather in the scripture you mention, it says the goats on the left were to go to the place "prepared for the devil and his angels", which I've heard others say that hell was never meant for people, it was originally just prepared/created for the devil and the third of angels who fell (and became demons) who rebelled against God, but by sinning the devil tricked mankind to also end up going to the same place, roughly speaking
judgment day cannot be fair if free will doesn't exist, when God gave the law, they statement was "see I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life that you may live", other scripture talks about if God says He'll bless and the nation turns to evil, God will take that back. Likewise, if God says He'll destroy a nation and they repent, He'll relent and not destroy them. None of the law and God giving rules, makes any sense at all if free will does not exist (why tell someone if they had no choice in the matter?)

Lucifer to the occult is the light bearer, the savior, who saves humanity by offering them freedom and independence. With that out of the way the people who wrote the bible did not believe these things. Acts 4:26-28 says the cross was predestined. Christ knew the events in His life before they happened, and we are being conformed to His image. That's first.
Second you must deal with bible prophecy. Countless prophesies mean that time is predestined. Otherwise prophecy would be impossible. But if prophecy exists and time is predestined there is no room for people to choose other than what would lead to the outcome. God does not wait on human choice but reveals His plan through history.
Next you have to deal with things like Romans 8 and 9 that are clearly discussing us being made as vessels, with some for wrath and others for glory. You have to deal with Pharaoh being brought up by God just to be destroyed and how God hardened his heart. You have to deal with God preventing people from sinning, like with the king that Abraham visited. There is no room for libertarian freewill in man with these examples because it doesn't exist.
Judgment at the end of time is not about your choices it is about God's choice. Those whom He passed over and wrote into the story as villains He will destroy to show that He is just. Those whom He chose to reveal the truth to He will reward (Bema Judgment). Very simple.
The bible says we are dead in our sins before being born again. Dead bodies cannot make choices and this is the point. That is why regeneration precedes faith. God must open our eyes so that we see clearly and have the ability to believe. Our choosing to have faith is because He has regenerated our hearts, not the other way around. If you believe the latter then you have to deal with serious problems, none of which are supported by the bible.
My first thought regarding his statement that the mother and her boys didn’t know what they were asking was Jesus didn’t know yet, who would sit on his right and left hand. He finds out in our timeline approx 95 AD after The Father reveals it to him & Jesus sends his angel to tell John on Patmos to write it down-that it will be those alive(Laodiceans-as I agree with most theologians that the seven churches in revelation ware real Churches, apply to all people[and read all seven letters, in all seven

The wicked will not sit at the left hand they'll most likely be judged by the one sitting at the left hand. Mercy to right, judgment to the left.
From my study of the Scripture, ive come to believe that the two who sit at Christ's left and right hands are two prominent figures. They'll both be ministers -the one on the right hand ministering everlasting life to the righteous and the one on the left hand ministering eternal damnation to the wicked. Both will drink the cup Christ gives them, the right hand drinking the cup of eternal life (the water of the Holy Ghost) and the left hand drinking the cup of God's wrath (the wine of the Holy Ghost - God's wrath is described as being wine in a cup in Jeremiah), so that both men "pour out" their respective dispensations unto those who stand before them respectively - the right hand pouring water unto the righteous and the left hand pouring the wine of Gods wrath unto the wicked.

Why is it that when I was growing up, I vividly remember the two criminals who were crucified with Jesus being a thief and a murderer? The thief was to the left of Him and said to Jesus "if you are truly the Son of God, save yourself now!" Then the man who was at the right side of Jesus said, "When you come into your Kingdom Lord, will you remember me?" And that is who Jesus said he would remember and will sit at his right hand. People keep saying this is the Mandela Effect. My mother was a Minister, and she also taught us this happened in this way! I read in her own Bible that it was indeed a *thief* and a *murderer.* Why was this changed over time?
