I just finished listening to Geezer's audiobook Into the Void: From Birth to Black Sabbath-And Beyond...he reads it himself in his own voice...and it's so much more enjoyable for this reason. I highly recommend it. Heaven and Hell is such a classic! Nice job covering Children of the Sea. 👏
It’s Great how Tony always left room for the Bass Fills. And likewise with Geezer for guitar parts. The melody lines in The middle before the solo are Magic. Becky, Geezer would be all in on your tone!!!! Great job on this!!! Let’s not forget Dio and Bill Ward here. Incredible!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
Great representation of Geezer in the Dio era! This laid-back track left plenty of space for the bass. Pulling up some live versions, I noticed that for the fast triplet bass run in the 2nd verse, Bill Ward kept a straight beat, but after Vinny Appice got behind the kit, he followed that fill. Either approach is cool, but it's nice knowing Geezer was such a driving force that drummers were really paying attention to him.
I love the Dio era of Black Sabbath! Thanks for this, sounding awesome... as always! Btw, LOVE your Sabbath top! *PS: Maybe you could cover something from one of the earlier Faith No More albums (The Real Thing, for example)? 😊
