Rolando Panerai e Karajan

Nel 1953 Rolando Panerai viene scritturato per cantare Masetto nel Don Giovanni; inizia così la lunga e prestigiosa collaborazione con H. von Karajan. Così Panerai ci racconta particolari divertenti relativi al loro primo incontro artistico.

What a delightful human being. Although he never achieved the true superstar status that he deserved based on his glorious voice and fine singing, he did have a long and highly respected career. Moreover, not only did he live a healthy and perfectly lucid and alert 95 years, he amazingly seemed to preserve that glorious voice until the very end. There is a RUclips video from his masterclass at age 93, where he proves that incredibly, his voice was still fresh, rich and powerful. You can even hear it here in his speaking voice.
