I love how easily the TomTom Rider 550 can switch from Fastest, to Windy roads when you get bored. I also like using the Alternate routes mode. I too forget my earplugs ALL the time, then look for a place to pull over and plug up & put some chapstick on. I love U-Turns! I was in a picturesque area, pasted a plain looking white brick building, when a quarter block later the aroma hit me. An instant U-Turn had me tasting the most amazing pork bbq while sitting along a crystal clear river. I love what I call, The Unknown. Like the days when not only am I not sure what route I'm going to take but I don't even know where I'm going to spend the night, let alone where I'm going to eat that day or what tales I will hear from the friends I make along the way. I love The Unknown. Thanks for another lovely ride.
Cheers Mark, I went out with my grandad this morning & his classic motorbike friends. Just at the bike shop at the moment getting some new gloves, how’s it going for you? Been out much yet?
@@AnotherHipster I've only had one trip this summer, to an ice-cream shop. I can only taste a certain brand of ice cream after covid, so it was worth it. Not planning a trip abroad this year. Been hosting so far on my summer hols. Hope to get away next week but am also waiting on new tyres. So just day trips it looks like, so as not to "burn rubber" too much.
Glad you managed to get out for ice cream, I can imagine that’s very annoying only tasting certain things. That’s me finished with my motorbike trips until April atleast now, just focusing on work atm. Hope the new tyres come soon
Thanks that really means a lot to hear, yes there’s about 12 left. 4th august is my birthday so as my gift to you all I’m releasing a extra video that day but otherwise it’s Sundays & Wednesdays 😇 Cheers mate
hi Jason, I touch on it in the next video but for you its: Coleman Darwin 2 man tent Trekology UL80 sleeping mat Trekology air pilllow Fyrelite air pump Summit folding camping chair Generic 2 season sleeping bag In the future my goal is to get a MSR tent as they pack away really small but otherwise I think i've got the setup just perfect for me
Be careful when choosing a tent that packs away small, you’re not hiking so ultimate size isn’t so important. I too use a Coleman Darwin tent but a 3. I chose it because if I’m going to be away on my bike for weeks at a time that extra bit of space makes a huge difference to my comfort, especially when the weather is less than perfect. I chose the Darwin because of the really useful covered space outside the sleeping part. If the worst comes to the worst I can even sit inside out of the rain. 😊
You’re right to question the need to visit other peoples must see tick list. There are so many places to see why join the queues at places that others think are the only places to go.
