This one definitely had more content and the enemy variety wasn't limited which was great... Though I felt since there were so many, they were cramped together.... only 3 Alien Grunts can be fought in the game... also only 1 level has Ichthyosaurs.
A mess of set pieces copied from the base game, crappy new enemies, virtually no story to tell and a shit tone of glitches... yeah, it's sooo much better then Half-Life -_-
+BlueShit199 Well it's an expansion... of course it's going to copy set-pieces... the "crappy" new enemies offered some good challenge and variety (though too be honest, the only ones I found genuinely memorable was the Shock Trooper, Shock Roach, Gene Worm and possibly the Gonome.. the Voltigore, Pit Worm and Pit Drone were kinda meh)... there isn't much story in the middle centre of the game but it definitely picks up near the end... also it DOES answer a lot of questions from the HL1 game.. for example... remember when we all thought the female black ops assassins were on the marines side? turns out Xen isn't the only alien force invading Earth? We get too see what happens when a headcrab zombie reaches a more mature state. We get too see what is happening to Black Mesa once Gordon leaves... plus some dope as hell new weapons... We got too see more of Black Mesa and finding out that Black Mesa know more about Xen than we previously thought Also I absolutely loved seeing the parallels of playing as the "Opposing Force" and stopping an undercover threat that was using the Xen invasion to their advantage. Opposing Force may not have had the most interesting story but it definitely zoomed into the story HL1 had alongside adding some new sauce into the mix. Half Life 1 also had a bunch of glitches......... Though as I stated earlier... enemy placements early on were kinda cramped and a new Gargantua esque monster for race x would have been nice... also... the friendly AI would give the Ride to Hell Retribution developers cancer.
Adam Stewart yeah, it answered al the questions nobody even asked. gearbox just fucked with half-life story, apparently there are two different alien invasions happening at the same time and place (now that's just farfetched), and the us government finds it appropiate for their millitary units to kill eachother, just because. they made g-man interfere with the story too much, without even knowing who he is. also, they simply skiped the entire first and a half of the second day of the black mesa incident, so that shephard doesn't even know what or why is happening around him. he just runs around black mesa like a headless chicken. the game 'manages' enemies bad too. there are only 3 alien grunts in the whole game and controllers appear only once (in a place where you die if you try to fight them anyway). and about halfway through the game xen creatures disapear completely, being replaced by the god damn race x. i admit, the idea of nuking black mesa and the 3rd day is interesting, some new weapons are good (tho shockroach is just a hivehand without the homing abbility) and the boot camp has a nice FMJ feel to it, but otherwise opposing force is a garbage game to me.

The reverberations they give the drums is epic
"Move MOVE!!"
"hELP ME!"
"GODDDD HEEELP!"
"JESUS! WE NEED BACKUP"
"GET FREEMAN!"
"DARN WHATS THAT!"
"A BIRD!"
"WAIT,NO ITS-" {screams} {static}
"THEY ARE TOO MANY OF THEM!"
"CHRIST"
"RETREAT!"
"FORGET ABOUT FREEMAN!"
"OH GOD- AAAAAAAH!"
ok im done
"Come in Cooper, do you copy?"
"Cooper, do you read me? Forget about Freeman, we're abandoning the base." ("CORPSMAN!")
"If you have any last bomb targets, mark them on the tactical map." ("TOURNIQUET, TOURNIQUET!")
"Otherwise, get the hell out of there!"
"Repeat: we are pulling out and commencing airstrikes!" ("We'll leave without you alright? Lets get going!")
"Give us targets, or get below! Over!"
A BOOOORD!
@@soldierinworldwar6 I thought that he said - Corporal, not Cooper
Half life was a very wild game
This is the music that runs through your mind when you witness a complete shitstorm happening in the late stages of the BM Incident - surviving BM personnel, abandoned HECU troops, Black Ops operatives, Xen wildlife and Race X creatures. All engaged in one big 5-way skirmish in the midst of the Black Mesa ruins. This is epic in the purest form.

it's a pretty good track, really, love the military drums.
Good times, playing this in 2009 with my brother. It was great.

I just played OF in 2023, July, and I regret not playing it when I was a child back there, having HL2 done in 2008 and not playing the original HL with it's add-ons is so so
I hope valve remember shepard one day
This music makes me feel depressed and hopeless somehow
this music gives me both hype and PTSD
I never played the game, but DAMN, that soundtrack be BANGING!!!
Sigue siendo la mejor expansión de half life
This would work great as music for an _Opposing Force_ movie teaser trailer. The second movie of a Black Mesa trilogy.
Such a great soundtrack.
Best Legendly Gear Box Pack Ever !
This still gives me chills
I love the drums part.
I still wonder how badass this sephard looks without his mask on. Valve really needs to bring him back
I think the reason he is wearing the gas mask is more badass than if he would not wear it.
Most games where you play as members of the military, you are some overly badass guy (most often without a helmet)... nowadays, I just find these people lame because they overused this same formula, but Adrian Shephard is seen wearing the full combat loadout, which makes his character more realistic and I really appreciate the look of combat gear.
Also, I would say that it is cool to have that mystery of not knowing how he looks like.
Theres an official image of shepard without the mask
@@Nombrenooriginal wait really? Where can I find it?
the nostalgia hits hard
Military drum n bass :) l liked it.
Its GOOD to see your up again, Yulia!
In a recent interview, Michael Shapiro, G-Man's voice actor, said that the next game the G-Man is in will be like "visiting an old friend again."
Who knows what that means. But...
Either Barney Calhoun or Adrian Shephard
It can't be Barney because he never ran into him and G-Man wasn't interested in him, so it has to be Adrian.
Banger.
I swear everytime I listen to this the tempo and speed changes
one of my favorite games. thanks for the upload Yulia. i was searching for this for a long time.
Storm Area 51, or i should say Black Mesa.

Im going to say it:
This one is better than the original, still a glitchy mess sometimes, holy fuck.
Bold words.
Hearing this After Meeting up with the Other grunts at the start of "THE PACKAGE" and finally after that other grunt says Let's Go! You hear this
There are some tree heroes.those heroes is freeman, shephard, barney☺😊😀
*calhoun ;)
tree heroes? what they save trees or something?
Barney isnt a hero, gina and colet are heroes
quite the banger
COME BACK SHEPARD
HECU and Half-Life Opposing Force are forever
now that half-life 3 is confirmed, due to half-life alyx's post credits scene, we may see shepard again.
It reminded me of Metal Gear Solid soundtracks
Adrian is a weapon to surpass metal gear
10 race x aliens disliked the video
xDDD Good Jobs Man xD
This plays before they even appear.
saying race x really fast.... try it....
holy heckity frick geckos. i require to grow up.
You also forgot the annoying black ops soldiers throughout opposing force
@@Nk_-1993 Yeah lmao
@TheAmazingDrFreeman yea something with multiple flash backs and pieces of episodes that interlink together somewhat like ''the memento'' and a feel like dexter.
This would sound epic in a zombie survival game where you run out of your house to fight zombies and it's raining
1 million hit 🎉
Old times
there was an opfor soundtrack? HOW DID I NOT KNOW/?!
bruh it plays throughout the game
Because it doesn't play in the Steam version, or well, it used to not play.
The music reminds me of E3 Half-Life 2.
TyrannWright The composer of HLOP4 made the e3 2003 hl2 trailer music
Frying1Pans
I thought so.
idk but it perfectly fits as Chaos Insurgency theme
*i can see this become a loading theme*
*i can see this becoming a infiltrating a infested area sort of soundtrack*
*nice one, valve.*
this song automatically makes this game better than all call of duty games combined!
When you buy a whole damn bar
there music is AWESOME best music i have ever heard in a game
I swear if I ever see these words again...
SUBJECT: ADRIAN SHEPHERD
STATUS: HIRED
They gotta put one of these soundtracks for the introduction... For me it will be a full circle its actually him and that he is back to kick more ass!
I'm glad you can download the music for the game by going to the HL wiki page for the Opposing Force soundtrack so you can listen to this ingame
