- The best divergence trading strategy is one that uses trend continuation divergences. In this video I will show you how to identify hidden divergences and how to use them to trade with the trend. Using a divergence trading strategy will help you have a higher win rate overall.

Divergences are used by traders in an attempt to determine if a trend is getting weaker, which may lead to a trend reversal or continuation.
Before you head out there and start looking for potential divergences, here are nine cool rules for trading divergences.
In order for a divergence to exist, the price must have either formed one of the following:
If not, you ain’t trading a divergence, buddy.
You’re just imagining things. Immediately go see your optometrist and get some new glasses.
Divergence Trading Rule #1: YesThere must be extreme highs and lows
Divergence Trading Rule #1: NoDivergences do not work in ranging markets
2. Draw lines on successive tops and bottoms
Okay now that you got some action (recent price action that is), look at it.
Now draw a line backward from that high or low to the previous high or low. It HAS to be on successive major tops/bottom.
3. Connect TOPS and BOTTOMS only
Once you see two swing highs are established, you connect the TOPS.
If two lows are made, you connect the BOTTOMS.
Divergence Trading Rule #3: Connect successive tops or bottoms only
Divergence Trading Rule #3: Divergences do not work in ranging markets
4. Keep Your Eyes on the Price
So you’ve connected either two tops or two bottoms with a trend line. Now look at your preferred technical indicator and compare it to price action.
Whichever indicator you use, remember you are comparing its TOPS or BOTTOMS.
Divergence Trading Rule #4: Focus on tops and bottoms
5. Be Consistent With Your Swing Highs and Lows
If you draw a line connecting two highs on price, you MUST draw a line connecting the two highs on the indicator as well.
If you draw a line connecting two lows on price, you MUST draw a line connecting two lows on the indicator. They have to match!

Would I be right if I said hidden divergence is a divergence on the other side of the 50 line from the trend and regular divergence shows itself on the same side of 50 line as the trend ??

Thanks for the tip mate. The problem I see with these indicators that plot divergence is that they are lagging. By the time the indicator shows the divergence the price has already moved. Therefore my recomendation would be to train your eyes to catch these divergences as they are happening live. Cheers

@@REsuperGRX7 We can learn, but we are not sure if that is the right point of entry in live. Anyways we have to take some risk with stop loss. Without risk, no profit. Correct me if I am wrong.

A little before 3:16 you indicate that when the Divergence indicator is lower than a previous low but actual price is a higher low; this means its more oversold and a good entry point especially if on a support line. My question is would this still be considered oversold if RSI is above the midpoint? In addition to that if price is right at or around a moving average would that make the trade lower risk or would that be of no importance? thank you...

Does divergence on a 1Day scale is too much in the future? I have a feeling that it's wayyyy too far to wait for and a lot of things can happen. Besides I see it only on a 1D time frame on 4h it's not there.

What is the maximum distance between the highs or the deep which is possible to draw the line to catch the divergence? Because sometimes you can catch it earlier.
On a bearish hidden divergence, are you focusing on the lows or highs? You said it's opposite from bullish, do you just mean direction wise or the peaks we should be focusing on.

How I remember Divergence easily and correctly:
If the Divergence is on the lows - price will go up
If the Divergence is on the highs - price will go down
Whether is hidden or regular, SIMPLE :)

Hey Arty. 1 question I would really appreciate if you could answer. At 4:47 in this video you say that "right after that candle closed you could have entered..." I am using your TMA divergence indicator but it only shows the divergence after like 5 candles so I would constantly be late to enter. If I change the loolback period from 5 to 1, the divergence indicator simply doesn't show the divergence. Could you please advise?

So on the hidden divergences when we have a very long candle wick, what does it mean.? Because it seems that the RSI is more confluent with the clothes and did not the candle wicks. But now and then I have a huge candle wick that I really have to pay attention to. However, I would expect that candle with to affect the RSI but it doesn't seem like it is . Any advice?
