I don't know how she did it, I would have immediately run as far as possible, and only THEN called the police, yeah risking him coming home and seeing that the body was found and him fleeing, but I'd be way too chicken to stay in there waiting for the cops, even if I knew he was on the other side of the planet, I'd still be so freaked out to be in the same apartment as a murdered body!
yea it’s terrifying to think that if he was possibly home or arrived when she was in shock he would take her life too and cover it up along with the taxi driver :(
Thank you for mentioning what happened with the cats. Often animals are literally labeled as evidence and are “destroyed” (as they call it) once the case is over. It happens often to dogs in dog fighting ring busts. But many rescues step up and fight for their release so they can go to loving homes. As you know, animals don't have a voice and we have to be the ones to speak out and tell their stories. Thank you for bringing this to people’s attention. ❤️
@@LlamasInPajamas13 yeah i have to second that some dogs are beyond rehabilitation the only thing they understand is what they were raised to do. The "bait" dogs they have the fighting dogs practice on can be rehabilitation but they will most likely never able to be around other animals or kids.
I actually had to skip the part about the cat because I was not in the right headspace for it. But now I am feeling better and want to know what happened. Would someone help me out here?
Update since I haven’t seen any in the comments: Lee was sentenced to life in prison. The prosecutors are appealing because they want the death penalty; however, the court said they chose life in prison because he pleaded guilty to all charges and gave the victims families 30 million won or about $22,500. Edit: I didn’t realize this, but those given life imprisonment have the possibility of parole after serving 20 years if they are on good behavior. This is why Uijeongbu District Court also ordered Lee to wear a GPS-equipped electronic monitoring anklet for 30 years.
You're a great story teller. What hit me the most were the pets. I adopted a pet from a murder/suicide home. He is now living his best life with me and now going on 11 years. He's become quite the celebrity in our neighborhood (not because anyone knows his past living arrangement) and everyone just adores him. I'm happy to hear that these poor innocent souls found loving homes and thank you for confirming that. I'll definitely be following. 🖤
Wow Thats amazing! That is so kind of you, It does make me wonder though, dont answer if you dont want to, but did the poor animal show any signs of trauma like humans do? Im just curious , please do not answer if the question makes you uncomftorable.❤
The fact that he was just like “yeah, move in. I’ve got nothing to hide”. Meanwhile there is a dead man… inside of a closet… inside of his apartment. That is absolutely terrifying. Him toying with police too is such a waste of resources. Narcissists love to be in control. Absolutely insane.
@@kaiq9q8qu1 Jesus fuck. Absolutely terrifying. Like, he doesn’t have any anxiety about that shit. That means you would never even know. Sooo wild to me!!
I think it's sooo dangerous when people act like attractive people can't be dangerous. They are just so freaking many attractive people that are murderers, rapists, or just extremely creepy.
I know this is very different from murderers, but I work at a big shop for quite some years. You know, shoplifters come here regularly and looks got nothing to do with it. Got them young and old, pretty and ugly, girls and boys all kinds of races. Its bizarre
Ya, that's the sociopath effect. Usually they are very charming, good looking, kind and the first date may seem perfect...... too perfect and they know everything about you and try to make their hobbies and interests align with yours, they are manipulative but they so smooth with it, usually sociopaths won't murder you they just want to play around with you psychologically till you fully break down mentally. Psychopaths on the other hand, ah yes they will murder you and feel proud of it with a burning passion and are usually a lot more obsessive compared to sociopaths. Overall we all wear masks and have different faces, we can wear these masks to hide our true self but for some people different faces can simply be different sides of people, like its still you but you're simply showing different pieces of yourself. The Japanese have a saying; ~The first face, you show to the world. The second face, you show to your close friends and your family. The third face, you never show anyone~
The fact that he invited his girlfriend to live with him when he has a body in his closet is so disturbing it really makes you second guess anyone u meet in life i send condolences to the victims families and I hope they recover well🕊️❤
@@kimberlyr872 yes I was thinking that too I feel like he’s the type of guy to get bored of someone and do god’s what to them is sad that their was so many unknown victims preyed on by him ):
As an American this did not surprise me, some serial killer stories here have some remorse but don’t know why they kill (let’s look at Dahmer for this) he didn’t know why he killed and he wanted it to stop several times but he himself could not do it. In this case I do not think Lee is remorseful at all especially if he is a narcissist but I think there are three possibilities she was his next victim but this didn’t make sense to me as he seemed to only be attacking older people, that’s his niche his group that he likes. So my other guess would be that he wanted to be found out again this really doesn’t make sense to me, I’m still not clear on why some killers do this and I don’t think we ever will unless we get down harder on mental health. My final guess is that he loved playing games and wanted more players, he loved messing with the police, sucking in his ex gf into all this and who knows if she stayed long enough he could of pinned on her for all we know. All I do know is the families need more peace and justice.
@@kimberlyr872 I think he was too. She got so lucky. There's no way he let her stay there alone with a dead body in the closet if he didn't plan to kill her at some point. Other girls that stayed with him didn't get killed, but I think that has a lot to do with the fact there was no body in the closet. He's got some audacity to risk that she wouldn't look in that closet and discover the body. This guy acted like he was invincible or just really didn't care if he was caught. The fact that he was so comfortable with killing someone and knew how to "clean it up" makes me believe he definitely did this more than the two times we know of. Who knows how many victims there are.
@@sdraulitolito44 It's 8months since I've seen this video, so quite frankly I don't really remember it or this specific comment, but it's good to know more people survived an encounter with a killer, where they could've potentially lost their life
The girlfriend was so lucky to not be one of his next victims, considering he killed his last girlfriend it wouldn’t be surprising if he was plotting on killing her next.
I can't imagine how the girlfriend feels or her parents :( they completely trusted him and she truly thought she found the perfect guy. I hope she'll be able to recover from this and find true love.
What really bothers me about these cases is how much people Idolize the killers because most killers are described as "hot" or have a "charming" personality. When in reality that's the point. Most killers do that so people will like them and it's easier for them to get away with these things.
It's kind of unsettling that I'm currently reading the Manhwa of "Killing Stalking" and the guy is the exact same thing. And this video is recommended by youtube rn. The guy is charming, handsome and all. And he's korean. That manhwa was so hyped that's why I got curious but after a few chapter I don't want to continue it because of the obvious reason
@@z.nayrouz did you also read it? I'm glad I'm not the only one. And I hate the victim in that manhwa. He's just letting him do whatever he wants because he's hot and he's inlove with him. He's very abusive and all. They're both unhinged

I usually only comment about the cases when i do comment but i would love to say that i really appreciate Stephanie for not only how she covers cases extremely responsibly and with a lot of respect for the victims and their families but she’s also always breaking down events in a super digestible and elegant way not to mention how diligently she gather information about all the cases she cover. Regarding first impressions, a few months ago we were reading Frankenstein in our English class, and the topic "beauty means pure intention and ugly means bad intention" was brought up during one of our discussions. In our discussion, we gave examples of what we would do if a famous, or socially attractive person showed up in our home and started to engage with our family and it was really interesting to see everyone's perspectives. The majority of us agreed that if an attractive-looking person showed up on our doorstep we wouldn't bat an eye because there was "no way" a beautiful person would secretly be a terrible human being. Then, we asked the same question, but instead using a socially "unattractive" person as our example. Growing up, especially in America, we are told that people who looked odd, who linger in the alleyways, or are distant from others are the bad guys. So obviously, everyone said that the unattractive person would raise immediate red flags because, from the knowledge we've learned as a child, bad-looking people are bad in general. But no one EVER talks about the fact that an attractive person could be just as bad, if not worse. We are so divided by what seems good or bad that so many people can get away with a crime or a harmful act just because of their beauty. And it's not even our fault, it's just how our society works and how we have thought for generations. I feel like this topic needs to be addressed more because it's so bizarre.
wow, thats super interesting. I feel like your teacher did a fantastic job addressing this topic in a very engaging, educational way. they kinda made you "make the connection" and connect the dots by puting these scenarios side by side, realizing the ugly truth of how beauty affects our reactions to the same exact actions. I bet it left a strong impression on some to see it like that
Wade Wilson was found guilty in the 2019 deaths of 2 women. The jury recommended a death sentence for each murder. He was indicted on multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree premeditated murder. Very attractive man but deserves the death penalty.
I feel like Tara was probably the next victim. That might have been why he was so comfortable with letting her live with him despite having a corpse in his closet. Because sooner or later he would make sure that she accompanied that corpse.
Knowing that if the girlfriend wasn't able to call the police in time, he might of been free and murdering who knows how many people right now is so terrifying. I was absolutely shocked this entire video, I feel so sorry for all the victims.
His poor girlfriend probably suffers from lifelong PTSD from what she found in the closet. The smell of Human Decomposition is one of the most horrible, horrifying and stomach turning smells you could ever imagine.
Can confirm I worked in a coroners office doing death investigations and autopsies and when the decomp is soooo bad the smell literally sticks to you. It permeates your clothes and hair. Sometimes it would take 3 showers just to get the smell off.
I just got done listening to your podcast on Spotify and here I am listening to this story again. Thank you for keeping us informed on cases outside of the US. 💕
I just found you from TikTok and I had to come straight to your RUclips channel. You are brilliant at telling stories. Instantly subscribed, got me hooked the whole video.
In the most cases of serial killers, its always like this. The killers always end up being somebody that we admire, good looking, great presentation of themselves, confident, has a great social skills. It scary to think, with all that, that is how they can get away with murder. And the victim could be anybody. Its scary.
Look up the top 5 careers psychopaths usually choose and excel in. There are many out there and don't kill people. Studies have shown that they had loving mothers growing up but the ones that didn't...
Yep. See the "Ken" (Paul Bernardo) in the Barbie and Ken killer duo - if cops hadn't been taken in by his charms and tested this monster's DNA against that of a mysterious local serial r*pist (spoiler: they were one in the same), he very likely wouldn't have had the opportunity to r*pe countless and kill the 3 girls that he would later on.
@lockcrimson4031 I would actually beg to differ. There are a few exceptions and they are super scary, because most people wouldn’t suspect them, but most serial killers are rather the opposite, imo. They are mostly loners, outcasts, socially awkward and giving multiple warning signs throughout. That’s why they choose to kill people to feel less inferior instead of becoming CEO‘s like the smooth psychopaths 😰🫣
The whole Ripley's syndrome and pathological lying makes sense with him saying "oh it was a crime of passion, and it was out of anger." His behaviour with those random men at the kbbq is evidence of how quickly he could become enraged. Pathological liars can often get angry or defensive when their version of events or reality is threatened, so it makes sense that his main motivation for killing (from the current information) boils down to rage, monetary gain and the need to protect a fantasy.
Hey Stephanie, I was wondering if you could cover a case which is currently going on in Germany. It’s about a 12 year old girl named Luise who was killed by two "friends" of only 12 and 13 years in age. They stabbed her over 75 times. These girls are being protected by the authorities and will face no real legal punishment because of their young age. In general it seems like perpetrators of extreme violent cases are getting younger and younger. Because I’m not sure if this one case will suffice for an entire episode, maybe you could cover similar cases from different countries and the increasing cases of children committing murder.
@@yin-yi5189 it is almost the same as that case! Insane to find out that the same lunacy exists in another continent, so many people prayed a second Slenderman scenario wouldn't happen.
Wow...this is literally horrible! Just evil 😢 And let me quote a random stranger in the comments "if your are a kid and murder like a adult and make adults decisions then you gonna face adult quoencen"
I am grateful the gf at the beginning was able to call the police. Bless her for that action. Who knows how many lives she saved including her own and that of the animals... Wow. This is awful but I really do want updates.
I appreciate your way of explaining this stories, you’re clear and concise about the facts yet sensible about the victims and their privacy, there’s so many true crime podcasts and videos that put creepy music and dramatize everything for the “ambience” and it bothers me sm, cause these are real people and real stories and we should still address them with tact, thank you Stephanie
Serial killers being decent, normal looking and nice is the scariest thing because anyone can be easily fooled by such images, even you and I. Imagine a nice shopkeeper guy or a pharmacist at your neighborhood with whom you exchange pleasantries but he secretly has a corpse in his closet.
Most serial killers are normal people and that's because it's easier to get away with things. Like in alot of cases these killers are ussually well known and liked by others.
There was a korean pharmacist Park Seung-jong, whose very attractive, knowingly spread STDS(never wear condoms) and gaslights his victims for spreading the disease to him. The victims can't have children anymore because of their STDs and he's sentenced to eight months in prison and two years of probation.
He probably had the cats to feel a sense of control over another living thing. Like you mentioned, the pool dunking of his cat likely gave him sadistic pleasure, I mean, it's common knowledge that domesticated cats dislike water. I really enjoyed this one🤘
Not quite all of them dislike water, but this one sure did. Most of them do; however I have a fisherman friend who lives on a boat with his cat. Sometimes the cat actually wants to take a dip as long as Chuck is in the water -- sometimes, but not not often. Honestly if the cat knew how big the fish were in that water he probably wouldn't. I sure as hell don't.😅
@@The_Rusalka I wondered the same, there is four possibilities here... 1. He starved them for sadistic pleasure. 2. He let them outside to find their own food. 3. He fed them human food. 4. He fed them humans!😐 I'm also wondering if he purposely set it up for his girlfriend to find that body by leaving her there by herself... like, who isn't going to look around the apartment they just moved into?🤔
@@JohnWayne-86ed The autopsies would show chunks of human flesh cut/bitten off so it's unlikely he fed them humans. He probably fed them human food though, with all the money he was stealing he could just buy ready to eat meals and feed them easily.
I think the pets weren’t his , probably his ex gf was the owner, he killed her and stayed in her apartment. I wonder how he fed them? They don’t look skinny at all, very concerning to think about it.

As a Korean, I've never heard of Lee being dubbed the kpop killer and no news outlet referred to the case as the real life Parasite, at least in Korea. Maybe global news gave these nicknames to draw attention or some things got lost in translation..? But other than that Stephanie explained very well getting the facts right, as she always does! I do remeber the general reaction being shocked on just how the case unraveled.
I think she got the parasite and kpop thing from other videos before hers by other people, of the case where the titles had the same wording. I think Grazy TV and Seoulite TV made videos with these words comparing him to kpop idol and parasite.
@@island0123 I've seen other RUclipsrs cover this case before her but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they got some things wrong. I think she probably took inspiration from other RUclipsrs but those RUclipsrs probably came up with that stuff themselves and it wasn't actually in the Korean news. I think most of the stuff she talked about probably came from social media sites or posts and gossip sites when she mentioned netizens were saying this and that. Social media is usually where all the good gossip is 😊
thank you for addressing the animals at the end of the video the whole time I was thinking about how they were probably abused and how they’re doing now and what people usually do with animals in those cases, so thank you for that. It’s nice to hear that their in better homes.
I've heard of this case before. Parasites do exist in the society and its pretty scary. This case is just very disturbing for me to take. RIP to the victims. 🙏🏻

29:12 As a long time kdrama fan 14 years so far also I’ve been invested in many Korea related cases ! It seems like Korean law loves protection the criminals specifically when it comes to giving them the shortest sentences and releasing them early 🤡 it’s so unfair to the victims !
TBF, it makes sense to protect the culprit from the media and society if their guilt hasn't been determined. It's when they confess, like this guy, that it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
@@Haylla2008 well even people that confess to crimes sometimes aren't the real criminal. There are plenty of mentaly disabled people that would admit to crimes even when they didn't do it or even attention seekers lying about crimes to get attention. When there where two serial killers in south korea in the early 2000's, one lied about murders when the other one was the actual killer of those victims. There is also the possibilty of black mail or forced confession. So yeah, many good reasons to conceal the face of a criminal at least for a while.
@@marbleb33sat's what's so wild about Korean law is there's obviously sense behind these sorts of things and in theory the general principle is reasonable and positive but the laws themselves just seem so poorly designed that in practice it's like the legal system is constantly shooting themselves in the foot with it when having these policies shouldn't have to be that way. Almost like whoever wrote the specific law just didn't consider all the possible outcomes and write them with any procedures for getting exceptions nessicary to balance it with public safety. Like it's just crazy there's no official procedure to apply to for an exception to this rule in the case of needing to ask the public for information as part of an ongoing investigation, you know? Like do a preliminary hearing where the prosecution has an opportunity to argue the public has a need to know so they can provide information or something, at least. Not to say laws in either of my countries, Canada and America, are always great or anything but whoever wrote the exact wording in some of these Korean laws definitely should get fired because how it's even possible for the application of something that's so correct in theory (I think American plastering of mugshots is totally wrong in most cases and there's severe issues here with people found innocent suffering life consequences because of it) to be this ridiculous in practice is just mind boggling.
I'm really loving the oversea cases. I feel like I've heard all of the US/Canadian ones so much. Thank you for all your hard research to bring light to foreign cases.
The privacy laws for criminals in South Korea seem to be similar to those in Germany where neither full name nor face of a suspect or sometimes even convict are released to the public. In some cases even the mugshot has a black bar over the eyes when they ask the public for help to catch the suspect.
This was so entertaining. I was so engrossed watching this with headphones, while getting ready. My husband was standing nearby calling my name repeatedly, but I thought i was hearing things until he shouted louder and I screamed. You do such a great job, I'm hooked!
I have had a traumatic childhood, and my escape is to read books. Making me a book worm. I find comfort in getting lost in the book and the storyline becoming your new reality. I have been struggling with my mental health and have been trying to find new ways of coping. Weirdly enough, your podcast and these videos seem to be oddly comforting to me. I thank you for your way of storytelling and helping me get through tough times
You're such a great story teller, very engaging! And your Co-host has the best reactions, keep up the great work. I've listened to like 10 videos over the past week since I discovered you!
That is why detectives or anyone in that regard do not agree to release the suspect on media and let mass media and the public give the killer an impression or nick name, it feeds the killer's ego to make them feel better they are known.
It does make sense that he believed his own lies and was living in a sort of fantasy world(s) he created. That explains why he'd invite his girlfriend to move in while having a dead body in the house. He's told so many lies, having a dead body around probably felt surreal to him, like that's the part of his life he didn't believe was real. Truly disturbing! Glad to hear the animals were rescued.
This is so disturbing, anyone could be a victim of this guy. You could bump into him and be a new target. To the families of the victims, I'm really sorry, I can't imagine how much pain you're going through right now. About his pets, I'm glad they are in better places. They're gonna need lots of care. My family adopeted a dog 5 months ago, and we learned after some weeks that he used to be beaten up by his old owner, my baby is scared of men, he shakes whenever he sees a man, and runs way to the opposite direction.
He did not give any choices to the people he killed and yet he can have a choice when he was caught?? Gosh this is soo absurd in all directions. Its so infuriating 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. He should be locked up forever!
I just want to write like a huge appreciation post for Stephanie and all the people that put effort and time into Rotten Mango. It's genuinely one of, if not THE BEST true crime podcast. It's respectful, it's informative, it's detailed. The research is always done well and Stephanie always does an insanely great job making the cases easy to follow while also not cutting any corners and making sure people understand the true nature of them. Shoutouts to her and her team for always making amazing episodes, and now with the visuals it just is another level. THANK YOU STEPHANIE & THE ROTTEN MANGO TEAM!!!💕💕💕
The way you tell the stories just captivates. me. It is as if I were witnessing the story unfolding first hand. Keep up the excellent manner in which you tell the subject and events!
This one was a shocker.. so glad the girlfriend acted so quickly otherwise there would have been more murders she more than likely would've ended up being a victim. Those poor animals it's awful how they suffered so much and were put on a kill list i love rescues I'm so grateful they got those poor creatures.
I think her being a murder victim is very unlikely. Remember that he already had 2 ex-wives and they were unharmed. He's not going to kill his fiance after meeting her parents or alternatively his wife when several dozens of people will know about him from their wedding. She was just a phase for him. He basically has a set of victims that he uses to fund his other lifestyles and time-passes.
I like the way you talk so smoothly and covering every detail that should be explained and timing of which part of story you should tell is amazing too
As a cat lady, I can confirm, most of my closets have elastic bands, because cats are crafty like that 😂 not just the pantry where I keep their food, they also like to get into closets and curl up on clean clothes/towels ❤
if you think about it....Cats are known to eat bodies at homes of elderly and others who died in their homes. So what if Lee had no cat food because Mr.T was the cat food? Anyone else got that exact vibe?
Well, actually any starving animal would do it, not only cats, even humans. I thought the same, maybe the pets ate her, that’s why there’s no trace of her😢
I am extremely sick today and been tied to this bed since the sun came up and went down. I hate being helpless and do not like hospitals. However, I feel a tiny bit better because I have kept watching Stephanie's videos. I am alone and her voice is reassuring. These cases are so wild, I don't have to pay attention to how sick I am. Thank you Stephanie!
"Innocent until proven guilty" kinda goes out the window once a confession is involved but at the same time there are false confessions that muddy the water. Texas had one case where every few months a guy with a life without parole sentence would confess to another murder every few months to get a few days outside of prison and high grade restaurant meals while he confessed. He was blatantly wrong about enough confessions that they eventually caught on once he got the feds involved by confessing to a murder outside of texas. (Texas authorities were happy to close cold cases with what were in hindsight blatantly false confessions).
Police also force false confessions sometimes too. But yeah, the law is there to protect suspects from harassment and a ruined reputation. That means sometimes you'll protect the guilty too. Better that than what happened to people like the dingo lady.
I love how you cover stories in different places. And also cases I’ve never heard of. I hope you are welll and pray that you are blessed. Thank you for your courage in sharing all of these stories. Although it’s a passion, I bet it can also get heavy at some points too. I appreciate you ❤
I really enjoy your content. You don't just do the well known cases e.g ted bundy and I really enjoy how you tell these cases. Keep doing what your doing
After 5 days of not being able to see i listened to other episodes of your podcast today I could finally open my eyes blurry but I can see thank you for being part of my healing process.
Just to give some updates.....he has been sentenced to life in prison for the murders of the taxi driver and his former girlfriend. He was apparently spared the death penalty, since he pleaded guilty to all charges and financially compensated the victims family. The sentence is being appealed by the prosecution, trying again to get the death penalty, but that is apparently still pending.
First video I've watched from you, but I love how to tell your stories as if it's gossip. It personalizes it and becomes intriguing. I also appreciate you giving background info to the different cultures and laws from South Korea/these different places. On another note, I really hope the victims are found and given justice.
He reminds me of the serial killer from the kdrama 'Somebody'; just like him he was a different person for each of the girls he talked to. I feel like people are getting more and more bizarre. What a scary world to live in.

@@lekshminandanaus8972 if you want to see it as a joke it’s funny … but seriously I thought it was obvious . A lot of modern crimes follow an almost movie-esque plot line these days ….so from when she said at the start about him having cats and a dog and the escaped current gf finding no cat food in the house and he was there for months … then she never gave closure about where the cat food was and at the end we find out Ms.j is dead and no body ….and the suspect is toying with police about where the body is ……knowing full well there isn’t one to be found is how I hear his demeanour to be in regards to her …as in he is saying to himself you can ask me a million times and I will tell you a million lies ….the only logical conclusion would be that this open ended piece of evidence fits in with the first problem of where the cat food was . This is all speculative obviously …but we are gathering any working hypothesis we can at the moment right … And also suspect as to why he fed mis.j to the pets ….comes from the fact that the authorities decided to spare the pets lives after saying they would be destroyed …..hence any good fully fledged movie watching detective (lol) would know this plot quite easily …. The deceased ms.j is helping the police by saying no don’t kill the animals …for they hold the evidence to where the missing body is ….and then they somehow get the cat whisperer to communicate with the animals and find the dna evidence of ms.j in the kitty poop and there is your closure and somewhat ironic feel good ending to the mystery . But as reported they are progressing as we speak . What I wanted to know was in the cupboard where the taxi drivers body was stashed ….was there any other persons dna in there …like before his . Or any evidence in the drains or freezer of chopped up body parts etc . And I just had a feeling now that maybe he killed Ms.j on a holiday somewhere away from their normal country /place of residence …came back without her ….. Who knows ….

Oh thanks for that …I too share your sentiments and think that would be obvious . It’s easy to take someone out of context …don’t worry . But keeping it in context , moral of the story was I hope they find Ms.j and what what happened to her so she and her family can have closure and peace . Yeah bro this is a real life Bluebeard! I was so sure he was going to get home before the police could reach her
I don't know how she did it, I would have immediately run as far as possible, and only THEN called the police, yeah risking him coming home and seeing that the body was found and him fleeing, but I'd be way too chicken to stay in there waiting for the cops, even if I knew he was on the other side of the planet, I'd still be so freaked out to be in the same apartment as a murdered body!

Lee was sentenced to life in prison.

Who knows how many victims there are.
then maybe he is trying to see if she does see them and kill her after but she's lucky she was able to get away

What really bothers me about these cases is how much people Idolize the killers because most killers are described as "hot" or have a "charming" personality. When in reality that's the point. Most killers do that so people will like them and it's easier for them to get away with these things.

I know I'm a bit late, but it would make sense, maybe he was planning on disposing of both bodies at the same time.

In the most cases of serial killers, its always like this. The killers always end up being somebody that we admire, good looking, great presentation of themselves, confident, has a great social skills. It scary to think, with all that, that is how they can get away with murder. And the victim could be anybody. Its scary.
true. a lot of them are actually very charismatic.

Pathological liars can often get angry or defensive when their version of events or reality is threatened, so it makes sense that his main motivation for killing (from the current information) boils down to rage, monetary gain and the need to protect a fantasy.
i think he said that it was crime of rage to toy with the police and possibly reducing his sentence
That's fucked up. They even recorded it and put it on TikTok! Poor baby girl. I can't imagine what the families are going through.

Not quite all of them dislike water, but this one sure did. Most of them do; however I have a fisherman friend who lives on a boat with his cat. I'm also wondering if he purposely set it up for his girlfriend to find that body by leaving her there by herself... like, who isn't going to look around the apartment they just moved into?🤔
@@JohnWayne-86ed The autopsies would show chunks of human flesh cut/bitten off so it's unlikely he fed them humans. He probably fed them human food though, with all the money he was stealing he could just buy ready to eat meals and feed them easily.

You are a wonderful storyteller. Thank you for keeping us up to date on cases. Love you biss ❤
Go biking,kayaking-pick up painting ❤
play moba games it helps a lot cause ur distracted into playing
I love how she deep dives into cases and its so informative.. Love u biss
I know right 🫶🏻✨
@@TheMaskedChef7 😊😊
You're such a great story teller, very engaging! And your Co-host has the best reactions, keep up the great work. I've listened to like 10 videos over the past week since I discovered you!
I only recently discovered this podcast and I like how you talk about all the cases with so much respect ❤️
Ok so pointing out the cats and not the victims...
I mean feeling remorse
@@Maria-m890 The victims were not saved. I'm not remotely glad for what happened to them. What's wrong with you?
@@Maria-m890 He did not feel remorse.
@@xzonia1 I meant you not that monster
He should be locked up forever!
i love the intro sm!! it reminds me a lot of the intro in the korean show connect
What if it's not mr T it's miss J
There’s also a thing that some killers do where they bury a body certain amount of feet under an animal body to throw off cadaver dogs 🤢
Wait omg that could be true
It's the first thing I thought when she said that there's no cat food in his home ...
Well, actually any starving animal would do it, not only cats, even humans.
I thought the same, maybe the pets ate her, that’s why there’s no trace of her😢
Been binge watching your videos and even your podcast, I'm obsessed with your storytelling 😭✨
Just discovered you and I love the way you tell stories.
I hope you have a great recovery soon and I’m glad Stephanie’s videos help you !!❤️
@@itzeljustitzel6919 Thank you! ❤️
I hope you get better soon! stay strong:)
Thank you for covering Korean, Chinese and Japanese cases. Very interesting. I would have never heard about this otherwise.
I love how you cover stories in different places. And also cases I’ve never heard of. I hope you are welll and pray that you are blessed. Thank you for your courage in sharing all of these stories. Although it’s a passion, I bet it can also get heavy at some points too. I appreciate you ❤
I’m an old lady who loves true crime podcasts. You popped up, and I can’t stop watching. 😀 thank you! You’ve earned another new fan!
I love how Stephanie tells stories its actually mesmerising and amazing i love her. I could watch her all day😭❤️
Just to give some updates.....he has been sentenced to life in prison for the murders of the taxi driver and his former girlfriend. He was apparently
spared the death penalty, since he pleaded guilty to all charges and financially compensated the victims family. The sentence is being appealed
by the prosecution, trying again to get the death penalty, but that is apparently still pending.
omg when you started talking about his pets I started tearing up Im so thankful they were rehomed
The fact that the man will not be found if not for the girlfriend, all while the family has reported to cops, is insane.
For real. Around Xmas time. 😬
just came across your channel and i’m loving it so much, your content is so respectful and thorough!!
First video I've watched from you, but I love how to tell your stories as if it's gossip. It personalizes it and becomes intriguing. I also appreciate you giving background info to the different cultures and laws from South Korea/these different places. On another note, I really hope the victims are found and given justice.
UPDATE: he has been sentenced to life in prison and his ex girlfriend's body still has not been found.
any news about the 380 people he was in contact with?
Do an UPDATE on his case PLEASE 🙏💙
He reminds me of the serial killer from the kdrama 'Somebody'; just like him he was a different person for each of the girls he talked to.
I feel like people are getting more and more bizarre.
What a scary world to live in.
I just started listening to you Stephanie and I’m absolutely hooked 😭😭😭
already finished listening to this on spotify but will watch this now for the visuals and stephanie. thank you again for today biss! i hope you're doing well ❤️
Honestly, I love your videos, as these are all crime stories I've NEVER heard of, and I -just- found your channel that was of this kind.
I'm catching up on all your videos. You have a knack for story telling. Better than anything on TV.
love her videos..she explains things so well!
Biggest mystery still unsolved with this case is... 'Where was the cat food'?
There was no cat food because he fed ms.j to them that’s why they couldn’t find her . Did they do a dna test on the cat poop …..😆
@@frankiifrankii is it funny?
This is all speculative obviously …but we are gathering any working hypothesis we can at the moment right …
And also suspect as to why he fed mis.j to the pets ….comes from the fact that the authorities decided to spare the pets lives after saying they would be destroyed …..hence any good fully fledged movie watching detective (lol) would know this plot quite easily ….
@@frankiifrankii it's not your speculation that made me react the way I did tbh I also want to know more about the case and the people are coming up with. I found it disrespectful to use the emoji while speaking of someone dead. Maybe its just me.
Oh thanks for that …I too share your sentiments and think that would be obvious . It’s easy to take someone out of context …don’t worry . But keeping it in context , moral of the story was I hope they find Ms.j and what what happened to her so she and her family can have closure and peace . Also goes for anyone else he may have killed that isn’t yet known .
Ps.I try to keep my comments lighthearted because with so much sadness going on around the world I don’t really want to make anyone even more depressed . 😉
bro can’t believe i’ve been watching you hit both 2 and 3 mil😭❤️ congrats girlll
Internet is crazy to call a person killing others as kpop killer. They are insulting those singers too
Serial killers typically torture animals before bigger victims. SO glad as a feline rescuer and behaviorist that the animals were saved. Animals are like kids , voiceless victims
Love you Stephane, your content keeps getting better and better!! Please continue the court of thorns and roses!!! 🌸🥺
I don’t watch any other crime story’s cause they always give me the creeps. You’re telling it in such a cosy way I can watch. However this story still gave me the creeps 😳
ahhh same the dread was kinda crazy
So I only found this channel the other day and now I'm obsessed with Korean crime stories. It's honestly really different to western crime. Love these videos
this is one of the first videos ive watched like this and honestly i couldn't stop watching i didnt even know these kind of things intrested me instantly subbed i just know this is going to be my favourite chanel for sure
honestly, i’ve always been scared of hearing about true crimes, but the way stephanie tells it makes me more curious and want to go down that rabbit hole. love you biss🫶🏼
I appreciate it a lot that you highlight the situation of his pets, it is always so disturbing for me in all these horrible cases.
I’m thankful for Steph’s deep dives as she keeps me updated on recent cases~ yet I’m still wondering how does she still stay positive after reading so intensely up on so many cases? Like how do you get into a good headspace after hearing all of this? It’s so disturbing how he did it all in 20 minutes… 💔
Thank you for uploading Stephanie ❤ and always keeping us updated
