He could take you through a range of emotions from his incredible voice to his guitar playing that ranged from subtle, sedate playing, to explosive shredding... truly a master at what he did.
The pure talent that Gary Moore had.. this duet by him and his guitar is still up to this day the best lovesong I know (because the guitar sins and cries as much as any other singer in any band).
Always love seeing someone get totally swept away by this tune. When my son was 3 years old he climbed upon my lap and put my headphones on his head - Texas blues - and he bopped up and down. When he was 14 I heard him practicing these licks in his bedroom. Whatever he will continue to do in his life will be fine - he will be a good father and husband. You get this shit down deep in your soul you'll do just fine.
Welcome to the Gary Moore Nation. He's one of my top five guitarists of all time. So much passion when he plays. He started out with thin Lizzy then went on his own and became a legend. We lost him too soon. RIP GARY. You are missed brother.
brother Biz loving your reactions to Gary moore it's something to witness I've seen him live twice, blown away both times, ballads and blues and blues alive Biz worth checking man something else. keep doing you brother ✊️👍🏴
Now your talking! Gary Moore (r i p) was once in the band Thin Lizzy from Ireland. check out his songs Midnight Blues and Cold Day In Hell for more🔥he never disappoints
Now that you have found Gary Moore, you must see him and a guy named BB King(you may have heard of him):). They play a song you probably never heard of called "The Thrill is Gone". There are no words to describe this performance. Your ears will smile and your eyes will laugh.
Gary had the rare ability to express such pure emotion both vocally and through his playing. The world is a much dimmer place without him in it and I still wish we could have heard more from him but he was sadly taken far too soon.
I've been playing guitar Rock/ Blues since 1963 .. Yeah, I'm 72 & I love Gary Moore. This song, from the lyrics, to the singing, & of course his playing with so much emotion, passion & feeling always brings tears to my eyes. And for those who play, they know .. He's "TONE" is unmatched !!
My favorite guitarist and my all time favorite song! Miss Gary a bunch. So many great teams. Please check out The Messiah Will Come Again Live from Montreaux.
Its unbelievable how he makes that guitar cry. His vocals are beautiful And the lyrics were Incredible. Everything About this song is out freaking standing ! Best blue song of ever !
Next up on the Gary Moore Playlist: "Empty Rooms" live in Stockholm, Sweden, on the "Wild Frontier" Tour (1987). ruclips.net/video/2YvJyLrdQwA/видео.html
That's such an intense performance. Got the album it's on, when it first came out, but he takes that song to another level here, on the guitar and vocals.
Great reaction, Biz! Gary's guitar is iconic and one of the most valuable in the world of rock. It's a Les Paul with an amazing history. Worth reading up on.
@@shrimpboutique3584 Yes it was mate. It had also been played by BB King, Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix and Rory Gallagher and no doubt one or two other greats as well. Garry was gutted when he had to sell it.
This is one of those songs you've heard for years but never knew who sang it. Thanks for sharing. Another great song is Bluest Blue by Alvin Lee formerly of the band Ten Years After. George Harrison from the Beatles on slide guitar.
What up sir? Just found this when looking for different versions of Moore’s Still Got the Blues. He was an EPIC underrated musician. He was actually in the 70s rock band Thin Lizzy. (Boys Are Back in Town, Jailbreak, etc…) I think he left that band in like ‘74? and focused on his own work. Shame he had to leave us so early. He had so much left to give…
So glad to see the stank face for the guitar and the vocals. I sometimes forget just what an amazing vocalist Gary was. I believe, if you don’t get the stank face to Gary, you don’t have a soul!
Do pariseienne walkways. He Makes the guitar Cry again. He was a monster on guitar and vocals. Gary moore had an interesting life. He was but bad at an incident in a pub. So he had quite bad scars ON HIS face from that. And I think it comes out in his music. U feel the pain through his guitar. R.I.P the LEGEND MR GARY MOORE
I counted 6 full "stank faces" and 2 full jaw drops, you can't fake that shit. You felt the power and the pain of Gary Moore's playing. Great to see the classics are still getting love. thanks man
Gary could make that Guitar Sing. The name of that Guitar is Greeny. Used to belong to Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac. Kirk Hammett of Metallica ownes it now. You need to watch Gary's Tribute to Jimi Hendrix song RED HOUSE. I'm sure Jimi was smiling watching it. YOU WILL BE BLOWN AWAY. 😁❤🤘

LOVED your honest reaction!! I could tell there was no pretense in your reaction. THANK YOU~! Gary, along with SRV, Jeff Healey & Joe Bonamassa were the best blues guitarists/vocalists of a generation. Sadly, all but Joe passed away far too early. Thank God we still have videos like there.
The Les Paul, Gary Moore regularly played has its own history. Gibson made reissue replicas that sell for $50,000… The guitar is known as Greeny… named for its original owner Peter Green. It has changed hands many times through various musicians and collectors. It has sold for up to… $2,000,000 … that’s TWO-MILLION-DOLLARS. It is said by the musicians that have played it that no other guitar plays and sounds exactly like Greeny. I have read that there was a mistake made at the factory in the wiring of the pickups and that is part of its unique tone. Kirk Hammett of Metallica now owns Greeny. (Think Stradivarius in the hands of a master… but Moore could make any guitar sing.)
I told you about this... thank you so much and i hope you get to check out some of his work w Phil Lynott too. Esp Still in Love W You and Parisian Walkways
The difference between Gary Moore and all the rest; you can physically feel it when Gary plays the guitar.
I agree and love he’s music rip legend
But Steve vai tender surrender live you can feel too
He could take you through a range of emotions from his incredible voice to his guitar playing that ranged from subtle, sedate playing, to explosive shredding... truly a master at what he did.
Gary is an absolute beast at the guitar. He left us way too early R.I.P to one of the best.
b b King and Gary doing the thrill has gone brother you gotta check it out. master-class from the 2 legends ✊️👍🏴
Best guitar vibrato in the world, bar none. Oh I wish I could make it cry and sing like he could...
Guitar players rate him with the best but lots of people have never heard of him
A master at his craft, Gary Moore does not get mentioned enough when speaking of the greats. You have to do more of his music. He is AMAZING.
100% agree
RIP Gary
Gary Moore and Joe Bonamassa do it for me.
Gary Moore is the BEST!
This live performance was without a doubt, one of the greatest live rock performances ever😊.

BB and Lucille could do that but Moore took it to whole new “modern” levels.

Sunset (his and Don Airey’s) tribute to Randy Rhoads is also another amazing piece
The sound he gets from that Les Paul and the Marshall stack is the ultimate.

Absolutely one of the greats.
So much soul and his guitar sings with just as much. His other performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival are just as brilliant.
How would u like to be in that crowd for this performance...majestic!
I was there 10th May 1990 the old Hammersmith Apollo. Amazing night
Thin Lizzy guitarist at one time. Gone too soon - I’ve still got the blues for him ♥️
Gary was one of the greatest guitarists of his generation he rip you up with rock like when he was in Thin Lizzy and make you cry with his solo work.

Possibly the best live performance of Gary doing this amazing song.
