This is the first jjjjound collab with NB that I’ve copped for retail. I’ve only had a chance to wear them twice so far cuz of snow but as soon as spring comes I’m gonna wear the shit outta these! I agree that the sizing of these 991’s are def more wide foot friendly. I wouldn’t pay resale for these though cuz we def know more jjjjound NB collabs are coming.
The subtleness of the colors and the black N set it off. It’s a clean as can be shoe/color combination. Sometimes not having flashy contrast makes the simplistic nature of shoes beautiful. Because they are limited, and not constantly churned out, does not mean it’s a bad shoe by any stretch. The 990v2 in grey is a banger but it’s almost a perpetual shoe and they keep making them. Same with the grey 993. Does not make them bricks. Simple supply and demand drive up price. People knocking these for the retail price are insane. For resale maybe.

Wow. Thanks for the insight that the 991 was derived as a modified 990v2. No wonder I like 991s because im more of a 990v2 fan despite the decrease in comfort compared to other 990s

@Sean Go I wish I'd paid attention to your sizing rundown man. I'm a sz 10 for pretty much all Nikes & Jordans but go for a 9.5 in New Balance and all my 2002r, 1906, 990v2 & 990v3, 992 all fit me well. However, these 991s are very snug, I might have to take the insoles out. I note now you said MiUK shoes fit snugger than the MiUSA variants.
I wanted these bad but whenever I go for Jjjjounds it’s always a guaranteed L lol I’m not mad I didn’t hit tho because its nothing special colorway wise. Still a solid shoe tho and if I would’ve hit I wouldn’t have been mad 😂 great review!
First Jjjjound x NB for me via End raffle. They felt underwhelming at first, but that changes when I see them in person and have them on foot. The cream laces made them perfect imo. Also have wide feet and these turned out fine.
These are nice, still like the moss 992 and olive v3 best. I couldn’t even tell that the grey 992 picture was a different shoe 😂. What do you think of the ice blue 991 dropping soon? Very clean imo
Copped for retail on Jjjjound and received a pair with crap QC. 😢 I may look into seeing whether I can have the leather fixed or just let them go. Great review!
These and the Stone Island 574 are the same. If they weren't a collaboration, they would've sat. Look at the 990v2 brown and grey colourway that just dropped solid but sitting if you put jjjound or Stone Island instant sell

The draw of the shoe is you could always get your money back, if they are lightly worn , once your tired of them. Especially true for sought after NB's for some reason.
I just don't like the tongue on the 991. The shape of the badge makes it very square and it doesn't tuck into the shoe like in the vid. But these are dope
Na I became drawn to this shoe because of the absolutely gorgeous clean earthy colorway that I think looks about as good as any shoe I’ve ever seen….It happens to say JJJJound on it and makes it a rare item as well….So that’s why I really want them. But not at ALL because it says JJJJound on it as the reason these interest me so much…I’m 40 years old and could care less about “Cool collaborations”
It's a mystery to me why these are so expensive on the secondary market. They look pretty ordinary. Minus the Jjjjound branding, I don't see these going off the shelves as a GR. Hype is just ridiculous.
I have seen many GRs selling out over a period of a few weeks.. I believe if this cw droppedas a GR, it would be the same case. overall it is very nice but as you say, nothing special.

I had to have them because it was a jjjjound release just like you mentioned .. but I can live without them.
