@@UltimateBaseballTraining please cover throwing from 2nd to 1st after fielding the ball. I'm working with my son on that now. He is 8 yrs old. I could use some pointers.
@@UltimateBaseballTraining can you talk about when youth players go from a smaller 200ft field to a full size field? My son is 12 and he'll be moving to a full size field in Travel and Little League this fall. Anything you can provide would be great, thanks.
Thanks for these videos. They have helped me improve in fielding ground balls by keeping my chin down until I catch the ball and having my fingers pointing down.
Coach I’m a second basemen on my team so I usually have a safe and easy throw to first, but I’m worried about how hard I throw a baseball, and how far I can throw it, and have no way to practice because of the snow and the virus. Any tips?
Thanks man! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I had a great Thanksgiving and I hope you did too. I’m thankful for you and everyone else in the UBT Family 🙏🏼
This is actually really helpful thank you! Played a full game with friends the other day and had 6 errors at shortstop due to my fingers not being pointed down and taking my chin off the ball too early. Thank you!
Hey coach, this season I’ve been making a lot of stupid errors at short. I make every single play in practice but once it comes to games I just make silly errors that I know I should be making. I do all the correct mechanical and mental things before and after the pitch. I don’t know if it’s a pressure thing or what.
In softball, we teach the infielders not to field with square feet. If you stand with square feet, put your glove on the ground and lift your head up and notice how much you see in front of you. If you just move your glove foot forward just a small step forward, see how much more you see. Then you can see more of the ball, the dirt and of course your glove and will be able to read hops sooner.
