    Unfortunately, this method does not work with newer Dell laptops from 2022 and up...This is great for older ones. All the articles posted in the comments sections for "alternate" methods are for clearing CMOS through jumper adjustments on DESKTOPS. There are no jumpers for this on LAPTOPS.

    • @selmateacher7
      @selmateacher7  15 дней назад

      I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble unlocking the BIOS on your Dell Latitude 7410. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
      1. **Double-Check the Serial Number:** Ensure that you are entering the correct serial number exactly as it appears on your device. Sometimes, even a small typo can cause the unlock process to fail.
      2. **Contact Dell Support:** The best course of action is to reach out to Dell's customer support. They can verify your device's information and provide you with the correct unlock key. Be ready with your device's details, including the serial number and any purchase information.
      3. **Use Dell’s Online Tools:** Dell has online tools and resources that might help you retrieve the BIOS unlock key. Visit the Dell support website and look for options related to BIOS password recovery.
      4. **Third-Party Services:** Some third-party services specialize in generating BIOS unlock keys. However, use these with caution and only as a last resort, as they may not always be reliable or safe.
      5. **Resetting the BIOS:** If you're comfortable opening your laptop, you can try resetting the BIOS by removing and reinserting the CMOS battery. This can sometimes clear the BIOS password, but it should be done carefully to avoid damage to your device.
      If you're still unable to unlock the BIOS after trying these steps, professional assistance might be necessary. A certified technician or Dell's support team will be your best bet for resolving this issue.
      I hope this helps, and you can get your laptop up and running soon. Let me know if you have any other questions or need further assistance.

      @@reesecollins482 I am trying to imagine when "dashes" are ever seen in this? Do you mean dashes when putting the code into the website? As for the password to enter into the BIOS, I do not believe that dashes are used. After entering the password into the BIOS , please use Ctrl enter . that is done by pressing those keys at the same time, normally the ctrl is pressed about 1/20th of a sec before enter is pressed and held for a second. It is used just like the keyboard shortcut, "Ctrl C" to copy, "Ctrl V" to paste as you would do everyday in your computer. Just using the Enter key after keying in the password, would not work in this situation, as Dell required "Ctrl + Enter"

      @@gamerrajpoot7 That is odd, because i did test it in a 5480 yesterday and it worked. I wonder if it could be a keyboard problem? Sometimes, since we can not see what the keyboard is entering into the fields, it can enter the wrong characters. I have also see where their zeros and ones look the same as their letters O and i, L..
