VS HRT commodore STILL looks as modern as anything racing today and is a timeless shape with that body kit and paint scheme. Murphy showing what a pro he is mauling the Nissan which has WAY more hp and technology in a Perkins built freight train VN. If that car had a 6 speed box that Nissan would be getting NOWHERE. Even after all these years the commodores still showing how superior they were to cars from more advanced eras.
The Commodores from the late Group A era struggled for competitiveness. The 1990 win was unexpected but well deserved, but once Gibson Motorsport developed the GT-R, it was all over. It's no surprise at all that Eggleston was out front in a later VS built to Supercar rules with a race engine and aero. It absolutely should have been. Murphy drove well, especially under brakes, but it seemed that the ratios were not right for Conrod.
Thank you so much for the uploads. I had no idea about these races over here in WA. You're a legend.

The MA70 Supra is mint, very rare group A car that, this whole category leaves the current V8 Supercars for dead ❤
