After watching this race when it happened in 1997 I just thought there's something not right about the race like the fact 05 should have won & how the fuck did it brake down I mean it watch the replay & the fact you don't show the part when 05 brakes down is funny like a dramatic moment in Aussie motorsport and not show it "COME ON BRO" and what do you know bro please help me it's been driving me mad for years... I don't believe 05 really broke down and I don't believe Craig Lowndes crashes out like he did coz he just doesn't crash and he won the race the year before but I think to have Brock & Lowndes driving 05 in Brock's last Bathurst would have been so awesome not saying Skaife is shit but Brock and Lowndes are family

Yes, everything evolves and changes. But that doesn't necessarily mean it gets better. I note the resurgence of interest in cars and racing like this and Muscle Car Masters compared with the sentiment that the Gen 3 V8 supercars are becoming boring.

The overrated Nissan being MAULED by Murphy in a Perkins built VN with way less hp and technology. If the VN had a 6 speed box it’d be GONE. You can see how well setup it is across the top of the mountain with Murphy all over the back of the Nissan. The VS HRT looking as fresh and modern as anything racing today and in fact FAR better looking than the V8 stupid car garbage.
