I remembered the movie seeing it in the movie theater and that was so emotional for me. But now looking back like that, I never knew there were so many things that made Mewtwo being stupid for a Psychic type pokemon 😂
Perfect timing to do this movie. I recently showed my younger family members the first pokemon film, though I went backwards and showed them the newer ones before the first few movies.
The rare cut of Mewtwo's Origin can be found in the super rare movie Mewtwo Returns. Good luck finding it, this came long before streaming and only a rare few DVDs still exist
Um, I must vehemently disagree with about Mewtwo's origin. It's actually a very emotional scene that explores Mewtwo's origin as well as the motivation for the scientists.
I found the excuse for the mistakes being 'deliberate because we wanted kids to correct them and feel smart' to be one of the most hilarious reasons in history
21:27 looks like a bad decision now, but after Ash trowning a log over a river like nothing, jumping from a cliff over a forest and part of a city to get in Lugia, breaking a iron cage, outrunning an air balloon and taking down a pokemon with a body slam I am very inclined to believe that Ash could have beaten mewtwo if the punch connected.
yeah, that stroke part is funny & I laughed every time, especially your own version, yes the pokeball magnetism thing does happen just not that often or in EVERY single episode
I totally understand Ash trying to punch Mewtwo. We have seen many times that Ash is hench af. Honestly with how strong Ash is blocking the punch is more impressive then blocking the Hyper Beam
Mew is coveted for its *genetics* more than its power. Hence the commission to make a *more powerful* version. Imagine something with Mewtwo's power being able to transform into different types. The final product was probably supposed to be more of a Type Null, but the super-powered psychic was boss enough to get them their grant at least. I'd imagine Giovanni taking the research, and Mewtwo to the next brilliant scientist, desperate for funding, in a few years, after technology had advanced further, and being like, "See this? Make it but in every color."
To be fair, Mewtwo probably chose Ash coz he saw how Ash's Pikachu was able to take down a Golem, so Mewtwo wants that hacking power to himself too.
More like Mewtwo's like "No human should have access to that power."
I think he chose ash because of his close bond with his mons and wanted to put it to the test since mewtwo thinks humans are nothing but people who just use pokemon.

Also ay goh mew is right here come get it
I 100% lost it at Psyduck's face! XD
In brazilian version the blue guy that say all pokemon are water type and gary has different voice actors
11:27 Misty sends out Staryu here but not when Mewtwo tells everyone to release their Pokemon
can't wait for the wtf moments of the hoopa movie or volcanion movie in like, 10 years.
Volcanion-great. Diancie-great. Hoopa-this thing just sucks.
I love this series one of the only good things happening Sundays since have to start my work week
Thw fact that you did wtf moments over one of the movies is awesome👍
I love how you used a Toy Story 3 reference to explain that one scene... It’s too accurate
I think it's also in the first Toy Story.
Toy Story 1, not 3
ayo is this what struggle actually looks like
Well, Mewtwo's ability is Pressure, which makes Pokemon go through their PP faster, so that makes some sense...
11:15, nice! I was waiting for that.
Oh, we finally learn who that mystery Pokémon was that Giovanni had! Awesome lol
I still have the cards I got at the theater when I saw this as a kid.
That Meowth quote and the subsequent rant are Absolute Fucking Moods. Keep being awesome ♡
This lady at 9:44: This is the worst storm that world has ever seen.
Me: laughs in Lake Superior.
No meantion of the guy in a fearow crossing the ocean whose never seen again.
Guess he got lost in the storm, never to be seen again
My favorite parts of this movie are:
1. Meowth chilling with his clone.
2. Clone Pikachu breaking down.
Um, I must vehemently disagree with about Mewtwo's origin. It's actually a very emotional scene that explores Mewtwo's origin as well as the motivation for the scientists.
Did Ash FORGOT to scan his Pokédex, right after he saw Mewtwo-The Psychic Pokémon Master in person in New Island?!
It's been 60+ episodes and I still chuckle every time you say "Gary Gary".
Same
yeah, that stroke part is funny & I laughed every time, especially your own version, yes the pokeball magnetism thing does happen just not that often or in EVERY single episode
"Mewtwo makes everyone forget." Uh, about that
Did he also un-murder all those scientists or are they both now dead AND their families don't know what happened to them?
I totally understand Ash trying to punch Mewtwo. We have seen many times that Ash is hench af. Honestly with how strong Ash is blocking the punch is more impressive then blocking the Hyper Beam
Honestly the Meowth quote needs to be on inspirational posters everywhere - same with that Mewtwo quote
I have a tshirt with the mewtwo quote. One of my favourite quotes ever...... And it's from a kids film.....
