I used a cheap bucket sandblaster and play sand instead of high priced media. You get a few uses out of it before it’s too fine and useless. You’ll need a dryer if you plan to use it for a while. Depending on your humidity.
Next time use cold oven cleaner... to clean things.. spray it on let it set for just a min or two,, either scrub or rinse off. Just don't forget about it after you spray it... for me it works way better than any engine cleaner and it's way cheaper
I agree that usually works WAY better than degreaser and at a fraction of the cost, but the oven cleaner will stain aluminum. I don’t even want to think about what it would do to the VW case, as they’re an aluminum-magnesium alloy
