Hi FMP! I'm thinking pnp the super G 177 cylinder in a 2009 LML 150 with 35000k plus reinforced clutch + 2 more teeth and 24 carburetor but without milling the crankcase. For your experience will it be viable doing like this? Regarding the crankshaft and bearings, will they withstand the increase in displacement? Any reply will be much appreciated. Cheers
@@FreakMoPed8 thanks. Another question if you please: is mandatory milling the LML to fit properly the VMC gasket as you showed in video? Or the cylinder can be fit without milling? Pros and cons? Thanks in advance.
Both left and right transfer ports on my Pinasco Vespone RX 190 cylinder are too big for my cases and I cannot get a seal. Especially the flywheel side at the rear where it goes thin. I have tried with gaskets and sealant but with no luck. I have been told I need to weld and re machine the case where the cylinder sits so the casings can ammomodate the large ports on the cylinder. Any other ideas as I don't want to get them welded. There must be a way to seal it. Thanks.
I did the same thing for my first 177 engine (Polini). But after some years, looking back at it, I wouldn't suggest to do that. First: that small part of engine cases being ported won't do much. Second: having an original crankshaft, therefore original intake timings, and most likely an original si20 carburettor, means the mixture coming in will still be not that much. Considering the pro's (little little little performance gain) and the con's (risk of getting aluminum powder in the engine or everywhere else), I won't do that again.
Its absolutely no problem, otherwise i woulsnt show it. , just use enough sticky tape. the old old discussion, if milling is worth it or not. The NO sayers wave with dyno power curves. thats not accurate for flow optimization Evaluation. Only flow measurements are appropiate BUT they dont exist. as long this proof is missing, at least both sides are right 😉 easy fakeable 2d analog paper curves are not valid. Just raise the tyre pressure foe instance. But i am planing something with a technical school so far, we only have experience and also for instance my silly onroad acceleration tests. 😂😉 Soon coming, just cylinder optimized, nothing else. Before and after. gonna be interesting, isnt it 😃 Trust me, every flow optimising shows effect. every. Only piston optimization ia feelable and ahows effect. And so does removing these edges.
always doing it. Not fo the first time btw. for the fancy super important overrated famous gsf forum its of course a SCANDAL and again food for the FMP bashers 😂😂😂👍
@@FreakMoPed8 I'm not saying you gain nothing by porting it like this. And I'm also not saying that it's a scandal to port the cases with engine closed 😁 But I'm saying that for the small performance gain that you might get, it's not worth taking the risk of powder into the engine.
there is no powder in the engine ;) sticky tape helps, gently air cleaning & then flushin with its cleaner than before when opened with all that gearbox oil sucking
FMP that's spot on I never ever get bored watching your videos....... thousands of likes, thankyou.
cheers! :)

vmc 10 molle clutch. it will work, but crank will fail some day, u
should replace the crankshaft

both is possible. ported flowed u have better performance

u need to weld. yes.
@@FreakMoPed8 I have used jb weld for now. Seems to have set perfect. See how long it lasts. I made a paper gasket. Leak down test passed.

What do you think about VMC177 pnp on old 2 port VBB engine? Of course I will make a 3rd port.
Take care od this lower area, false air spot, see my guide. Will work very well yes 👍
mista FreakMoPed thank you, helpfull as always :)
What about the LML "5-port" engine cases which had larger engine case ports than the standard 3-port cases?!?
Optical wide ports are not the point, timings are. See the bad perfoamce of the 251cc pinasco t5 engine 😉 wrong timings.
Jos gandos👍
Is it okay to have a mismatched left and right crankcase transfer port?
It would be even ok to not open it at all = have partly closed cyl ports
Do use a mallosi cyilinder block
Soon
Did you ever sort out the issues with the crankshaft/bearings for the Malossi cases you received from SIP??

Doppelzirkel wäre eine Option
Wg wie dünn es ist. Ist fuer den Schritt egal. Superdünn. hab ja schon einige dieser mist my blöcke gemacht.
