  • I install the Black Series forged aluminium wheel spacers with matching wheel bolts from SiCo Developments!
My Gen 3 Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works gets treated to a full set of SD Wheel Spacers, which can improve the handling and the looks of your car. Manufactured from forged billet aluminium, the SiCo wheel spacers move the wheels outward for a wider, more aggressive stance. SD wheel spacers are compatible with both original and aftermarket wheels and are hub-centric for a perfect fit.
I went with two different sizes of spacers for the Mini John Cooper Works.
When you take a closer look at the wheels, they of course are sunken a bit far into the wheel arches as is standard from factory on basically all cars these days, but in particular the rears are in a little more than the fronts. This is the simple reason for getting 2 different sizes - 13mm for the rears and 11mm for the fronts - to get the right amount of spacing and even the stance of the wheels out!
The need for this was already known by SiCo Developments and they had the spacers developed specifically for this configuration already!
There is another nice result of installing the SD spacers on my Mini Cooper S JCW other than the added aggressive look and feel / stance. The front wheels in stock config are exceptionally close to the big brake kit / callipers and so, along with the design of the wheels, kind of block the view of seeing the majestic brakes. The addition of the SiCo Developments Black Series Forged Aluminium wheel spacers of course moves the wheels away from the callipers and that additional space allows you to see in past the wheel and really appreciate and enjoy the big brakes!
The SiCo Development spacers work by coming with and using special elongated wheel bolts that extend through the wheel and spacer and into the hub as normal. This means that they are able to have full thread engagement despite being spaced from the hub so eliminates entirely any thread engagement issues as well as not needing any additional purchases like other wheel spacer brands out there, thus making them the best value / deal for Mini spacers out there!
Another feature that is super cool is that they accommodate for multiple bolt patterns - my Mini Cooper S JCW uses a 5 x 112mm pattern but as you will see, there are additional holes in the spacers!
The center bore matching that of the Mini JCW is very important and these SD wheel spacers are machined perfectly to match - a nice, exact, tight fit onto the hub!
These are developed in house by SiCo Developments so have been designed and manufactured to the highest quality and of course look awesome!
The included extended wheel bolts, in my opinion, look even better than the stock wheel bolts so that is an added bonus!
Here is what Si Cole from Sico Developments says about them:
Offered in the specific Mini pattern, centre bore and bolt type.
    High strength, forged lightweight aluminium
    - Precision CNC machined
    - Hard anodised for improved surface hardness and corrosion resistance
    - Can be used with standard or aftermarket wheels
    - Compatible with standard or aftermarket sport suspension
    - Large range available to suit most makes & models, and offset requirements
I am very happy with the outcome of adding these epic SiCo Developments wheel spacers to my Gen 3 Mini John Cooper Works Cooper S.
Installation was quick and easy, the results exactly as expected and the look of the car really elevated without going over the top - perfect!

I'd love it even better if I could actually get the same product. Can't find either 11mm or 13mm on the website? Saw this video last year, and it was the same situation then.

What about the anti-theft locking wheel nuts ? How did you deal with that issue regarding length of the bolts ?

Are these legal in the UK as I am presuming by your accent and vehicle reg that you are in Northern Ireland. I have had 15 mm spacers on an E46 M3 in Australia where it is illegal probably based on the 'piggy back' type that are pretty risky.
I wrecked two wheels and did thousands of dollars of suspension and body damage when a 30 kg manhole flipped out of its hole and instantly deflated both tyres and the spacers were unaffected but I did take them off before the car was repaired under comprehensive insurance.
I am moving back to the UK and would like to put these spacers on a mini clubman if legal or probably even if their not legal but a bit of a faf if you have to take them off for MOT's and inspections by the Rossers.

Yes indeed I am in Northern Ireland and yes indeed spacers are totally legal in the UK so when you get here you can fill your boots!

@@AdamRainey That's good to know, wish I had kept them if they are the same fitment as I sold them seperate to the car but I suppose they were a bit traumatised so best to start with a fresh set.

Hi, which versions of spacers did you buy from SiCo site? I can't see any Mini items listed, are these the versions that fit BMW? Like you I want the wheel out a little, but not 15 or 20mm, which seem to be what a lot of the F56 versions are. Any information much appreciated.
