ive passed my driving test and wanted a classic looking car, bought a 1.1 106 zest and absolutly love the thing but its old drive shafts a clackin, i used this video as a step buy step guide and have written instructions based on what you are doing in the video :) ill make sure to keep the splines away from the floor and buy some sturdy jack stands, but this video is great and easy to follow. Taking it to a garage costs SO MUCH MONEY! its also good to learn xD.
Bad mechanic. Don't ever use bricks or breeze blocks to hold the weight of a car as they can crack and crumble. Also you placed the new drive shafts with exposed splines on the bare ground getting grit and shit and in the splines and scratching the exposed polished metal surfaces not to mention causing other possible damage. You didn't seem to know what you were doing.
Seriously? He does a Nice job in the video! No fancy powertools, just basic tools every beginning DIY mechanic can get for zero money. Although i agree about the stones! They dont give a warning, better use wooden blocks who will slowely crack before failing. But he still has the jack underneath so there is double the support and those Peugeots are featherlight cars. @Luisfilipe, great job! Need to do the same for a friends car and had to see how everything is attached. Thanks for the effort filming this!
Nice additions! I'm also are slowely expanding my tool collection. Quick question, what type of oil does the gearbox take? Im mostly running Subaru myself and probably they use a different thickness
Many thanks, I can't find any french video on this topic, hopefully I found yours !
👍
