Some people avoid leaks and news about the game to have an untainted experience, so don't be surprised that he didn't know about them beforehand 😂
That's my experience, as Paradox Pokemon was something I believed to have been coined as a term following this trailer specifically.

@@mikedavies6979 which if it weren't leaked, it would be. Shame that people have to ruin the fun that comes with enjoying something new for the first time. I swear, I hesitated every corner I turned on the internet in fear of some random leak jumping out at me. Sadly paradox pokemon were one of those things I ended up spotting 🥲 but i mean hey, at least they're cool

@@mjtj115 the reason for that is a mix of peoples enjoyment of learning new things and wanting to share their newfound knowledge, and fanboy excitement over something that they need to force everyone to know so they can fanboy openly about it instead of respecting other's interests in avoid the information. Personally I went looking for them because I like planning out my teams (and then replanning them when Grafaiai was introduced, and then replanning again because theres no way I'm not gonna have best doggo Greavard on there either) but if I ever did talk about something from leaks, I always spoiler warninged it. We all just gotta respect each other more.
One thing I noticed or was thinking about is how Scyther and his evos are very similar to this new "past and future" pokemon theme we are going with.

I’m thinking we get to go explore in that giant crater in the middle and find all sorts of paradox Pokémon
That would make sense for Koraidon in the past, but not for Miraidon and the future... If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say it's more likely to be a similar case to the legendary rifts in ORAS. If they intend to do multiple Paradox Pokemon then it makes more sense.
I'm mostly looking forward to the Raid Battle changes. I really didn't like them in Sword and Shield.

The designs are perfect. But I'm worried about the size. Especially for past form.
The scene was very brief but I can tell that past form is a lot heavier. More armored. Like this thing should be big. Like mamoswine big or close to it. Donphan ain't that big of a pokemon.
So past form should be massive.

I do have a question cause if y'all don't know celestial is gonna be in the actual scarlet and violet games but will they be copyrighted cause if so that's gonna suck if your gonna be doing a playthrough and competitive if it's a theme option when you do online

@PVRIS so far it seems like the Scarlet mons all look cooler whole the Violet mons are more practical typing wise, but maybe that's intentional. Maybe that's why Scarlet is the past and Violet is the future. Or both games have equally cool and goofy exclusives and Scarlet just had better luck in most of their cool ones were shown off.

I'm So Excited!!! 😁 I kinda wished they switched the books in the games! Like you have the book from the past if your in Violet and the book somehow from the future in the Scarlet game. I think that would've been a cool twist.

I feel like I’m the only person who was greatly disappointed by this trailer. It showed *some* new stuff, but only snippets. I’d have rather had a break down of all that with a narrator rather than some stupid Ed Sheeran song.

I thought that the dynamaxing was stupid but acceptable, however the crystallization is by far the dumbest and least cool gimmick they’ve added. Bring mega evolution back.
If Gamefreak continueing mega evolution with new megas. The gimmick would get old really quick and fans would want new unique gimmick rather that reusing the same gimmick all over again. This is so that Kalos and Hoenn will be a unique region with its identity just like Z-Moves in Alola and Dmax/Gmax in Galar. I like all gimmicks because the gimmicks brings identity and culture diversity to the region. However if there will be a Legends Kalos, then sure bring back Megas.
