I would say, compared to other disciplines, trials bikes in general from most manufacturers have been pretty reliable and easy to work on since the late 70's, early 80's with the Japanese, Italian and Spanish brands
Chris, loved this video. I have just come back from Inch Perfect and I was struck by the electric trials bikes. Are you envisaging a test ride on those beautiful machines?
I have two 1984 TY250 Monos, aged 62. Just great for pratting around off road with a mate or my son,, and generally don"t hurt yourself when you fall off. Laughing. Unlike going too fast with motocross or enduro. Have i mentioned they are brilliant for throttle, clutch, brake, balance control? Highly recommended.
I want to say these trials bikes are pretty close to the sort of mountain bicycles people love to beat around in the technical single-track trails, in the steeps, rocks, logs, roots, and ruts. It's about balance and achieving very technical terrain/features. It's a lot of fun.
Best part about Trails is the sport produce insane people that then take more normal bikes and then do the same batshit crazy moves on those things! Think I've seen people do trail things on a GS dammit! :P I've always loved Trials, never tried it my self sadly, dont think my body is up for it sadly but I've always loved technical riding, driving, what ever it might be! :)
Well I did it! Now I really hope you think I made a good decision. I haven't been on a bike for 8 years and I'm 59 years old, just having survived cancer after a very hard fight. I'm going to live 😊 so to celebrate life I just bought a new trials bike. I'm not a trials rider. Actually I raced motocross when I was a young man but I have had trials motorcycles over the years. I thought that the new Gas Gas would be great therapy for me both physically and mentally. Here's my fear. My local dealer had 3 new TXT models. 2 were the GP models and I got an incredible deal on the TXT 300 racing model! It was $2500 US cheaper than the GP 250. Now I'm worried that it's going to be too much bike for me. I weigh 150 pounds but expect to gain some now that I can eat again. I'm not going to be attempting technical obstacles. I'm only going to play ride in the driveway or behind the school. I'm going to ride over logs just easy safe stuff. Do you think I messed up by buying the TXT 300? I saved so much money over the factory GP bikes. I'm just going to have fun and improve strength and balance. Thank you so much and your a cool guy with awesome videos 😊
"If you don't spend your money on motorbikes you'd only waste it", poetry sir, pure poetry.
Man of the people. Straight up tells up to ride for fun. Much love!
Did a day at inch perfect trials recently with a good friend. Blown away how much fun these things are.
Best way to have fun on 2 wheels.
Chris is Jack of all motorcycle trades and MASTER of all! 👍👍

They say Chris is handy on a bike👏👏👏
This man's smile is one of the purest in the world. May it remain so forever.

Love the trials
Great video as usual. But, I did have a bit of a snicker when you said "ktm" and "strict quality control".
And the thumbnail of the year award goes to...
Makes me miss Cross Country on my '84 XR-250R
That thing was a weapon in the woods 😊

”KTM” and ”Quality control” in the same sentence? I don’t know about that..😉

...and GasGas..😆
Wtf, is there something two-wheeled that you are not able to ride so charismatically?
When trials are concerned, where does 'racing' come in?
Ye just exposed what you can’t talk about
Too bad you decided to mask nearly all of the beautiful 2T sounds with that music of yours
There is no sound from slow motion footage
Trials, 90 miles per hour reflexes used at 2 miles per hour. I’d love one of those bikes 😊
