    it’s always predicted to rain in singapore. it rains almost every day, typically during the day (less likely at night). i’d not take the forecasts completely at face value cos it always has the same “30 degrees, sunny & lightening clouds”

      Having lived in Singapore for 6 months earlier this year, we got a lot of microbursts when it came to rain. It would be fine in some areas of the island but a 30 minute downpour in others. Because it's a tropical location, the rain builds up during the day but doesn't start to come down until some time in the range of 2:00 to 6:00, and generally doesn't last longer than 2 hours. Additionally, summer doesn't get the same level of monsoon weather that January had.

    • @piwo647
      @piwo647 13 часов назад +1

      Yes it’s a very European thing to look at the weather forecast for Singapore and say “it looks like it’s going to rain” without knowing that indeed rain is always on the forecast in SG.
      Being a tropical climate rains forms more quickly due to the convective clouds and it’s much less influenced by winds, hence it’s very difficult to identify potential patches of rain forming like they do in Europe.

    Whole internet seems to be speedrunning discrediting anything Lando does lol. I'm not even necessarily his biggest fan but it's pretty ridiculous the amount of flak he takes. They're keen to create some narrative that Oscar is twenty times the driver Lando is (Oscar is a fantastic driver too, don't get me twisted) and that Lando is suffering some sort of catastrophic falloff, but the situation they're trying to paint simply doesn't exist.

It's not happening. I'm not saying max is going to dominate but at least in one race he won't let it happen and will prevent lando from winning. If you say in 25 it will be a proper fight then yes most people would agree. But I don't see it happening this year

    “weaker championship” when he would be regaining a 70 point gap over someone is a wild statement to make. jumping on the lando hate train and trying to discredit him has become pathetic when he’s been outperforming his car and his teammates for many years, proving that he is in fact an excellent driver and has mostly(not entirely) lost points this season due to incorrect pitwall decisions and bad luck. lets hop off of f1 twitter and actually start watching the sport and listening to pundits and drivers who actually know what they’re talking about instead of people searching for likes and 5 minutes of fame.

    • @KailiLive
      @KailiLive День назад +6

      People act Oscar has had a massive wave of unlucky circumstances (which he has don’t get me wrong) but Lando has also had the same if not more bad luck and stuff go against him but it seems like because it’s Lando bad luck doesn’t apply to him because he’s been in f1 since 2019 and only have the same number of wins as someone who’s been in f1 2 years. But when you paint the full picture, the guy who’s been in the sport since 2019 has only got a car capable of what it is now, NOW. Before that it was outperforming the car and his teammate’s especially in qualifying constantly and the other has come into a team that gave him a car right at the front right from the start of his career

    This is just me, but I have always looked at "pulling away from competition" as a stronger drive than "keeping a faster car behind". Don't get me wrong, it's impressive, but total domination looks better for me. I have never understood the concept of (using USA sports metaphor) "It's game 7 of the NBA/NHL finals, the game is tied, the series is tied, I have the last opportunity to score and win the title". Whenever I played football or basketball, it was game 4 and a total wipeout or the World Cup final where I had already scored 9 goals and the game was not even close. Basically, I'm taking a long time to say that for me Lando's win in Zandvoort was more impressive than Piastri's win in Baku.

      Lando has had the stronget car for 10-12 out of 17 races.Plus, looking at the list of champions the 1st name you can see which could be compared to lando is maybe Villeneuve in 97. He hasnt proven himself to deserve a place among the f1 greats

  • @karlhorton9881

    i say this with quite a bit of lando bias here, but hes been extremely unlucky and been hard done by alot by team strategy on multiple potential wins canada, silverstone was clearly on mclarens pit wall. austria was mainly max being quite dirty. hungary giving the win back after proving a point of pulling a 7s gap. his unlucky q1 exit in baku with the yellow flag from ocon. clearly the mcalren is the best well rounded car but the ferrari really comes alive in slow speed corner tracks with good high speed straights. i do think oscar is close especially in quali but race pace hes not that close to landos tyre management. its clear in monza both mclarens cooked theyre tyres pushing each other as much as possible for the win setting fastest lap after fastest lap. and on the day piastri was the better driver. but i wouldnt bet against lando next season either. my prediction is charle will most likely win singapore as it seems to suit the characteristics of monaco and baku more. but mclaren should be dominent in the rest of the season afterwards especially texas and qatar. lando has made mistakes most noticably china sprint and belgium. losing the lead on turn 1 but this seemed like a characteristic of the car rarther than lando himself which maybe oscar managed better and also isnt in the limelight. this is also his first championship winning car so for me theres gonna be some growing pains and learning experiences e.g racing max when hes being aggressive one being not fighting piastri into turn 2 of monza for his championship sake and i think hes gets alot of hate for that like many drivers who have challenged in the past. Oscar is the future. i have no doubts. i love him being with mclaren and hes everything he needs to be in terms of racecraft. hes consistent ect lando has an edge in race and quali pace. my bet would still be on lando for 25 but i cant wait for the return of the teammate fights for championships. its been way too long

    • @karlhorton9881
      @karlhorton9881 День назад +2

      @@JasonAtlas for sure itll be close, its defintley max's to lose. if he dnf's once hes at real risk to lose it so theres a real chance considering the cars performance in race pace is starting to drop below the mercs. i think itll definitley be close alot of the tracks upcoming are mclaren favoured tracks for high speed corners. mexico,/brazil/qatar/texas are all heavily favoured for mclaren to win where as ferrari will be strong at singapore/las vegas i hope for landos sake the redbull performs similarly to baku

    • @JasonAtlas
      @JasonAtlas День назад +2

      @@karlhorton9881 @karlhorton9881 I think one thing to definitely look out for is that max is at the part limits for everything. He's got penalties sitting there if anything stops working and they have gotten through engines this season. So there's a real chance that they either go out on a massively compromised engine or have penalties later on.
      Although the same can be said for Lando at McLaren.
      So it's all very much still up in the air.
      I think your bang on with the tracks that McLaren is going to do well at. I was somewhat sceptical of Ferrari being in the running for race wins and podiums again. I put Italy down to lucking into a more optimal strategy and I didn't think the car had the pace.
      After Baku thata changed. It's all getting very exciting.
      I would love to see Norris make the come back required but I just don't think the odds are enough in his favour. The cynic in me knows a double crash with Verstappen would be enough to end Landos chances.

      take a look at all the champions since 1990 and name one driver that you believe lando is better than. Button? Villeneuve? Max dethroned lewis ,whatever you feelings are about abu dhabi the fact is that max was head to head with lewis for an entire season. Rosberg beat a prime hamilton even if it was close. Vettel was extremly dominant. Lewis is the literal goat along side Michael. Räikkönen should have/ could have won in 2003 and 2005 if mclaren werent stupid (kind of like how they arestupid now with lando) I think you get the point.... lando has been in f1 for 6 seasons and only when he got the defacto best car in the grid he won. He has built a legacy on par with Montoya. Should he win more in the future that can change but so far thats what he has proven

      @@vasilispotidis2012 No, I would call weaker championships, the ones where they have rocket ships and have no competition which leads to never having to race. Lando got the fastest car in Miami, and in some tracks since then, they have not had the fastest car every week. Canada and even last week as example where ferrari was just as quick. I do think max and lewis are two of the greatest drivers ever in f1 but for max, other than 2021, he’s had no competition for titles. I suppose it depends on how you define weak championships, I think lando’s comeback after starting with the 3rd best car is a good championship. Its not 2021 levels, but to say the weakest in 30 years makes no sense.
