I, Love Vinny, love the Ankh, love his kisstory, love VVI and VV-ASG, love lick it up, love creatures, love his guitar playing. That said, he cannot be defended by any sane person. I hope it works out, but not holding my breath. Really sad.

Lets get to the reality that Arizona is less then a half full Arena right now and we are less then 2 weeks out from the show! My question is what will Paul do , curtain off half the Arena or come down with the Flu the night before and cancel the show?
In the early 1980's that both Paul and Gene BEGGED Ace to stay in the band because if Ace left they would have to redo their lucrative record contract Kiss signed after Polygram bought Casablanca records. Gene and Paul only care about themselves which is fine, but I'm so glad the last time I saw Kiss live was during the first farewell tour. I haven't spent any of my money on Kiss since Tommy and Eric started to wear Ace and Peter's makeup design.

Frank Patek they couldn’t write a book without telling bad stories about Peter and Ace . That’s where all their juicy stuff is . Especially Paul’s book . Seventy five percent of his book was bashing the other members . They still play the same songs from the seventies , that’s their best stuff . So yes , stepping stone . And without Ace being at so many of Gene’s vault shows , I don’t think it would’ve been as successful . Same with Peter . And the biggest stepping stone of all , they wouldn’t be playing now if it wasn’t for the makeup . Without that makeup no one would be going to see them . And now Tommy singing Shock Me .

2 - Give it some special tour-title (but not cliché).
3 - Ace continues to include Gene's band - as his & Pete's back-up.
4 - Have an all-star show - where famous musicians can sit-in with them (per city).
5 - Invite Gene & Paul - if they want to show up. (You'll get 'KISS' - with-out compromising.) 6 - Record the shows; re-lease them - as official boot-legs.
7 - Have (occasional) new music - added as bonus-tracks.
a - Ace & Peter have control of the situation.
b - It puts them in the spot-light - while fake-'KISS' do their own thing.
c - Solid musician-ship (multiple guitarists, multiple vocalists, & two drummers).
d - Draws in fans of other groups - due to the nexus of various celebrities.
e - Gene & Paul have to do things on Ace's & Peter's terms. (Eric & Tommy - too.)
f - They put out new products (live-albums) - that generate name-interest.
g - This will help boost new songs - promoted by a controversial package.
h - Include premiums - like in the old 'KISS'-albums.
[This would (also) propel Gene & Paul's exposure - so they'd (likely) participate.]
So...giving the fans what they want - while avoiding the Semitic-two's bull-shit.

This Ace/Gene drama bums me out, something serious. When they did their tour together last year, I was stoked....judging from the footage I saw, they put on a great show.....something that would keep KISS fans happy in a post-KISS world.
This has to be said all that goodwill that was going on in the last year with all the band members trying to get along even guesting on Ace's albums and Ace helping out Gene with his very expensive egobox and Gene helping out Ace with advice and talk of maybe doing something special for the fans,cause remember that's Paul's talking points every time he talks about kiss, but in one fell swoop it all comes crashing down! The thing that's so terrible is how they talked about Ace and for that matter Peter like come on ,it's been done to death about the past, sure they did some drugs and whatever but it's not like it's a new thing, it happens ,it rock and roll and shit happens! But now they've ruined what little bit of their legacy they had left and the tour is going to show how much they've fallen as Paul's voice is done,so it's too bad it could have ended so great had they been respectful of the fans and Ace and Peter!
