@@xyster7 All the better! I say get out there and do it. Take it slow, know your limits, but progress and learn. You don't have to be out there throwing all the tricks you see on here. Just do as much as you can or want. Do what makes you happy.

hearing you two get back into skating inspires me to continue skating i always tell all my friends i wanna skate when im 50 and they look at me crazy, but its in my blood i use to be sponsored back when i was 8-12 i stopped skating for a few years and then have gone like 7 times a year if that but this past month ive been really focused on skating have gone almost everyday up until last week fractured my foot on a treflip XC im surprised how many tricks im able to do still ! cant wait to get back on the board. im 26 btw

This guy is an amazing person if you have met him you know. I’m from klamath falls Oregon and he did so much helped build the skatepark we have today that pros travel to come skate and he also helped build the skatepark in the old skate land we had. He’s a inspiration for sure! The legend purple will skate forever!

He’s actually insane at falling, the way he is able to kinda glide instead of slam is so cool
And the way he spreads out his body to absorb more impact
that's the only way you can still be skating that much when you're almost 50. It's hard to recover from slams at that age.
If you want to skate into your 40's, you *have to* master the art of falling.
Purple is what skating is about, so much passion and that is what Braille represent. Just skate and have fun. It would definitely be tremendous if Braille follow up with Purple. Would be even more cool if Braille sponsor Purple. I would definitely buy his board!

Watched the previous video with my boys aged 7, and 9. We've been staring down the half pipe and walking away for a couple years. I took 14 years off from skating growing a family.
Friday my boys 7 year old on his 6th attempt landed his drop in, followed immediately by his 9 year old brother. Totally charging it from watching the video, and having the confidence.
I on the other hand, though I committed fell back hitting the ground. Need more practice! But getting back up and getting after it. Thank you Purple and Braille for wholesome content and teaching folks everywhere to skate! 🤙🙏💜

Like a lot of the comments on here I agree totally that Purple is a one of a kind gentlemen truly inspiring and passionate, listening to him talk and watching skate just makes me feel the need to go skate myself. I’m 46 and have been skating again for the past nearly five years now and I’ll never stop until I literally can’t and thanks to people like Purple there will always be inspiration for us older guys and girls to keep shredding, and to the Braille team I thank y’all too as you’ve definitely had a massive part to play in my rejuvenation into the world of skateboarding 👊

Very crazy, the fact he has family in Bend, OR and drove out of his way to visit us as a surprise was incredible. We had him stop by our Portland shipping facility and loaded him up with shoes and more decks and grip etc.

A long time ago I saw a tape of some pro (I don't remember his name) and I saw a comment saying that his falls was more impressive than the actually tricks because he KNEW how to fall. You can tell Purple spent a lot of time falling and learning how to fall even more than hitting tricks successfully. That's what impress me the most: a man at nearly his 50s who does know HOW TO FALL and KEEP GOING even better than a lot of people at half of his age. He's on another level.

i saw it coming and did a 21 trick day as a salute to my life as an active skater. the next year it took me 2 tries to ollie, and my body gave out on me completely.
laid on the concrete for like 5 minutes. ive been getting healthier. ive gained like 20 pounds. maybe ill be able to skate again this year.

Purple is my new favorite person! I've skated most of my life and after 2 back surgeries I've lost alot of skill but if I still had a board and didn't live 15 miles from any concrete at all I would still skate every day. GO PURPLE!!!

My friends and I have started skating again at 34 after an almost 15 year hiatus, and all credit to Braille and skaters like Purple that have inspired us to hit progression hard! Even though it isn't much, I'm starting to do tricks I've never been able to do before and its only been a month! And can we talk about Purple's caveman/tailstall/drop-in off of the Braille drop?! Purple got me skating again. I'm 48. Working on my pop shivit. In two weeks and a new Braille board but I did it. 40 more lbs to go until I'm back into shape. 5 min of pumping and balancing is a real workout.

This dude is inspiring; I started in my teens stopped in my early 20’s, no particular reason, just got old and very busy, and a bit lazy I suppose. Last year, about 20 years after I quit, I built my teenage dream ZERO deck now that I’m old and more importantly not broke 😂 it’s been slow going relearning things on my old legs, and time is limited where I live now up in Minnesota, hundreds of miles north of where I grew up; many months it’s too d*** cold or snow/ice covered to skate street here 😢
It brings me so much joy to be able to buy whatever setup I want. One of the only perks of being an adult haha

I like alot of older skate footage from 80s and 90s. I do find braille very helpful on how to do/perform certain tricks I cannot do. Mad props to you guys! Probably my favorite skate videos/contests are rage in bad lands and I love Yeah right girl skateboards. Love a mixture of old and new stuff

Inspiring to see older skaters. Plenty of people tell me I shouldn't be skating and I'm about the same age as Purple. Knowing how to fall without getting hurt is important. I'm glad he wasn't afraid to show us how it's done.
