Who is Master Carlos Machado?
Carlos Machado is one of the pioneers of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the United States of America. Currently an 8th degree Coral Belt, Carlos Machado came to the USA in the early 1990's with his brothers. After many years of leadership and growth, Master Carlos has formed the Carlos Machado Jiu-Jitsu Association: one of the strongest and fastest growing BJJ organizations in the world today.

Rank bar is on the wrong side, traditionally. Start with the tail end on the hip.

My gii is all over the place but my belt is solid with this technique. Don’t know why everyone doesn’t do it like this.
is there's a rule of the bar being on a specific side or not? Like we once told that the bar should be on the left side for 2 different theories:
1- the heart is on the left so the bar should be on the left
2- the samurai hang their sword on the left side and the bar of the belt represents the handle of the sword

Hi, starts with side have no rankbar
There are many ways to "tie" the belt! This goes back to my Uncle Carlos and Helio ways!
