How to build a highbanker

  • This is a step by step all inclusive how to video for building my new highbanker. It took many days and long hours.
    2 2x4 sheets of 0.63 aluminum
    2 6’ 1/2x1/2 steel tubes
    1’ 1/2x1/2 Id square tube
    3’ 1 1/2 pvc and several fittings
    Lots of screws bolts washers and such
    One cooling rack
    One old tool box drawer

      No problem buddy. If this video helps people I’m happy. I couldn’t find videos like this when I built my first one. I learned a lot running that over the last year and a half and I tried to address problems I had. Ideally this video will help other from making the mistakes I made on the first one. You should definitely build a highbanker it’s a good thing all the way around.

      Yeah me either!! Yes I want to see how much the second mat is catching. I might not take the whole thing every trip but now I have the option. It will definitely be good if 2 people are shoveling and overloading the banker. Thanks for watching buddy!!

      This has been a long time coming...I bought the aluminum back in the beginning of spring when we were first planting our gardens for the year.

    You need a cart like flower gold wizard has to haul that down to the creek. I'd like to see it broke down and attached to the backpack that you have. It all looks good Joe, you put a lot of work in that Highbanker.

      Thanks Tye!!! It wouldn’t be possible if you didn’t give me that brake. I did work my ass off to get it built. I just got home from the dr I had a chunk of aluminum in my eye all week 😂😂😂 I cant wait to see how it does with 2 pumps and the improved hopper. Thanks for watching buddy!!!

    Just fyi.... A carbide tipped skill saw blade eats aluminum right up. Nice sharp cuts

      Huge lesson I’m not wearing safety glasses. On this build I got a chunk of metal in my eye. It bothered me for 2 weeks before I went to the doctor. I’m glad I didn’t go blind 😅 thanks for watching!!! Don’t forget your safety glasses!!!

    Have u ever tried the dredge mat in a highbanker? Im trying to decide if it would be worth the extra money to go with the dredge mat versus the regular dream mat, I have a mini 6 stream sluice with the mini mat in it that works great at 1/4 inch classification, im problably gonna build a 10 inch highbanker with my 2 goldhog mats that i have with my stream sluice but i want to also either buy or build a 12 inch banker using DM.

      I bought 2 -2 foot by 4 foot pieces of .063 aluminum from a local welding shop. Thanks for watching!!
