My dear. This was such a beautiful video. The cemetery is exquisite. The forms. The colors. The textures. The history. You did such an amazing job bringing me all the way from Lexington, Kentucky to stroll the grounds of Sheffield Cemetery with you. Your philosophy and understanding of the beauty of death is inspiring. Your acceptance and encouragement of the living touches my heart. Yours is a voice that our world needs. I'm so happy to share in your journey. Keep up your good work. Have the most wonderful Samhain. Much Love from Kentucky.
I am so glad you enjoyed walking the paths with me. I only wish I'd had more time because the place is huge. Thank you so much for your kind words, I am so touched and I am so glad you are here. Blessed Samhain xx
I too like walking around a graveyard reading the stones, I find it quiet sobering, each one tells a story of previous lives once lived. At Samhain I pray to my ancestors and light candles for them, also I like listening to some music for Samhain. Many blessings ❤
Very calming and grounding episode. The scenery was beautiful. I love to read headstones and think of the people named on it. So fascinating. Thank you Alison. Have a blessed Samhain 🎃👻🤗
Yes I too have been having alot more dreams than normal of loved ones that have passed on. And they do seem more like a visit instead of just dreams. Love all your videos and what you share with us all ❤
Thank you for sharing this special place with us Alison. I can see how it’s so special to you. It’s a beautiful place and so calming. Makes me want to visit my local grave yard in my village as I’ve not been there for a while. I used to take my daughter there to help sooth her when she was a baby as we lived opposite the grave yard. She found it relaxing too. Thank you.
oh wow, thank you so much for sharing this visit to this historic cemetery!! i added this cemetery to places i want to visit! I noticed your adorable cat Halloween sheets. they are fantastic You did a great job with bringing us on an informative tour of the Sheffield General Cemetery
Alison, the cemetery was absolutely beautiful. I’ve never seen anything like it. Thank you for sharing. There is a small Catholic cemetery close to me that I visit often. It’s so peaceful and lifts my mood. This time of year is my favorite season but I too have felt very solitary and melancholy. It’s almost a comfort. I practice a lot of self care to soothe my spirit…getting plenty of rest, drink good clean water, eat nourishing food, wrapping up in a cozy blanket with a good book and staying close to my beautiful dog Rashia. I feel those vibes and the thinning of the veil and I honor my ancestors and welcome them to my home. Take care and have a blessed Samhain. Blessed be
Your self-care tips sound right up my boulevard! I am planning to do all these things when I am on holiday next week. I'm so glad you enjoyed the cemetery. Thank you so much for being here xx
I love this film Alison. I've lived in Sheffield for 34 years and have learned so much about the Cemetery from you that I didn't know! Absolutely brilliant and fascinating!
Thank you for sharing your video of this wonderfull place and you speak of it with such love and aqierd knowledge of it I have o enjoyed learning about it's history and may all who are there be blessed as you say these are people who have shaped the sorounding area ❤️❤️
Beautiful old cemetery. I loved the places that are overgrown, and I fully understand why you love it so much. Have a peaceful Samhain. And see you soon. x
I love going to cemeteries. I like to sit and write my book. and also read books. In Ontario where are farm is we have about 45 minutes away one with a beautiful 1800 church and it looks over a very large lake. the lake is way below the church so you can see forever from the outlook.. GREAT VIDEO. One summer when my kids were young we spent every weekend visiting my hubbys relatives In centenaries . We would take a picnic basket and enjoy the peace. Our friends thought we were crazy. LOVE COLLEEN IN CANADA
I follow a number of RUclipsrs who visit and tour cemetaries. I find it fascinating to see real works of art in the sculptures and it is sad as well. Children or people who transition young are a stark reminder of how fragile life is. I will be cremated and my ashes scattered in a local rose garden. Sincere thank you for this tour and visit, a lovely place. The veil is thin and I think this year it is more pronounced. My ancestors and friends who have passed seem to be very active and they really have made me aware of them.
What a lovely tour and done with such love and respect. I often go to local cemeteries. I visit the Commonwealth War Graves. There are quite a few Canadian soldiers. I visit because their families can't.
Well wasnt this worth the wait! I have been saving this video for a quiet time when i could absorb it fully and it was wonderful. As always you have such a peaceful calming vibe 😊 thank you for sharing this wonderful placecwith us. Im so glad it is being restored and looked after. I hate to see our countrys history fade when there is so much we can learn from it and the people who went before us.
Thank you for taking us along with you to visit this beautiful cemetery. I am also fascinated by cemeteries. I visited one last week and posted photos on Facebook. I agree with you that cemeteries are calming and grounding. I need to visit them more often. ❤
I’ve been drawn to cemeteries my whole life (I’m 56). In my career of land surveying and mapping, I’ve surveyed and designed many cemeteries for local churches. This included locating each existing grave and all the headstones, names, & dates then drawing the map and creating new plots where space allowed. By the time our work was complete, I always felt like I had a special relationship with everyone there. Like you, I feel extremely grounded and humbled in those sacred spaces. The most interesting plot I ever saw was a man who lost his hand in a farming accident. He lived for many years afterwards, but when he passed, he was buried alongside his hand which had its very own headstone…with a hand carved into it. Happy Samhain my sisters.
Oh my goodness your job sounds absolutely incredible! How fascinating, you must have seen some amazing places. I love the story of the man and his hand! So lovely. Thank you so much for sharing xx
What a lovely guided walk through a beautiful cemetery very emotional thank you so much Alison! Along with other comments please Don't ever feel under pressure we are happy to wait 😊 As the veil thins dreams and the atmosphere in general changes for me also walking through a cemetery and honouring our past is such a peaceful and grounding thing to do it always helps me. Take care lovely lady and I wish you a blessed samhain 🎃💀🦇xx

I've been lucky enough to visit NY five times and on one occasion as we were heading into the city on the way from the airport I remember seeing an absolutely massive cemetery very close to the road. Thank you for showing us around. The Victorians really have the eye for attention to detail. I enjoyed learning about the different things you’ve mentioned. We don’t get to see cemeteries like that here. At least where I’m at. Cemeteries are one of the fears I have since I was little which I needed to try and get over. Thank you for the history of the place you shared with us 💕✨🦋
Thank you my love, I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I understand your fear but as my Mum always said to me when I was little - it isn’t the dead that can hurt you. Victorian cemeteries in particular are incredible places, rich in history and architectural details. I love that this one is such an important part of the local community xx
@ That’s very true. The architectural structures in England in general is so amazing and full of history. It’s so cool to see the different places you take us to that’s special to you 💖✨🦋
Hi Alison, thank you for taking us around the beautiful cemetery, it was so interesting hearing about the history of the place. I've been to Eccelsal road many times but never been to the cemetary, now I will! I, too, have been struggling with unwanted feelings and not wanting to leave the house. I usually struggle with the seasonal change but this time it feels different and I'm not sure why.
I completely understand how you're feeling. Everything feels so chaotic and I feel like at any moment, something awful is going to happen. Very uneasy and fretful. I'd definitely recommend a visit to the cemetery if you get chance. It's a beautiful place and it's very calming xx
That’s our Witches favorite sacred day it’s the Day hell opens up for the Coven Favorite Goddess Persephone to return home to her true Love in hopes of the upcoming year of Fruition
Oh bless you my darling…thank you for your patience! For whatever reason, the technology just wasn’t happening but we finally got there! I do hope you enjoy it at last ♥️
Loved every second, and I cannot believe I have never visited. I need to remedy that soon, your vid took my breath away. Thank you for persevering so you could share this with us all, and thank you for what must have been so much research that went into this ❤
Hope you enjoy your break. Well deserved. I love the little eckington cemetery near me and visit regularly, have you ever been? I absolutely love the gargoyles there on the chapel of ease 😊
What a beautiful video! Thank you! If i'm ever in the UK again, I will visit Sheffield for sure. My heart went out to you when you mentioned the audio debacle, you poor thing! But it all ended well. Blessed be, Alison, and Happy Samhain. xo
Thank you so much for sharing your tour of this amazing place. We live not far from Sheffield, and i have so many lovely memories of shopping there with my mum in Coles. My brother worked in the steel industry too in the 70s and early
Ahh, Cole's was lovely - the blast of warm air as you walked through the doors, carrying the fragrances from all the beauty counters - the beautiful haberdashery department, and all the lovely jewellery. It was so special and I miss it so much! xx
That was a fantastic video, thank you Alison. I’ve been to City Road, but never that one. It’s a beautiful cemetery, it looked like its own special world when you compared the busy road. Now I’ve moved to Cornwall I live near a small cemetery and that’s where I walk my dog everyday. It’s so calm and peaceful. I talk to the graves as I go round. I think the energies are quite heavy at the moment due to all the conflict in the world. It’s a bit like wading through treacle. I am going to do a meditation and pull some cards for Samhain. Thank you again for the video, I love your content. Have a blessed Samhain. Lots of love. x
Oh wow City Road is absolutely massive. Quite overwhelming in fact, there are over 160,000 people there! The General Cemetery is quite small by comparison but I just find it so beautiful and peaceful. I think you are right about the energies flying around at the moment. I hope you have a warm and peaceful Samhain and I thank you so much for watching xx
Thank you for making this beautiful video. The walk round the cemetery was wonderful. It reminds me a little bit of the Necropolis in Glasgow. I don't get out much these days, so I really appreciate that you have taken the time to film this. Happy Samhain! 🖤🧡🖤

This is so awesome that I ran across your video today, exploring Sheffield Cemetery in England I have ancestors from there we are related to John Eales in Sheffield England they own a silver mine and make things from pewter, silver and crystal. Some of my ancestors sale across the pond to America where alot settled in different states. I was born in California now live in Indiana. This was so unexpected to see this video. Thank you so much for sharing it.
Hi Alison, I loved this video. I too am having vivid dreams about people and places. I even dreamt about Donovan, the singer. I think this dream was about what's to come if things don't change. The songs in my dream were universal soldier and season of the witch. I am also wanting to stay home more to the point that I couldn't stay at my partners place. I don't know about you or anyone else, but I feel something big is coming I can't put my finger on it but I can certainly feel it. I haven't been to my local cemetery yet but I will be going soon because my mum and Nan are there and I want to introduce my rescued Frenchie to them 😊. I am a 60 something witch and I am so pleased that I found your channel. It's very lonely as a witch when there is nothing in your area. No groups, no other witches that you know of, or who are openly witches. And at my age, 60, it's been a very long and lonely life x Thank you again Alison, much love x
I just love the idea of introducing your pup to your Mum and Nan - that's adorable. And I understand completely about feeling like 'something' is coming. It's not a good feeling. I really hope that Samhain brings us all some peace and comfort. Sending you so much love xx
I find them interesting, history, anout the people or person, houses, shops.serenity sue is a good one to watch, shes irish?also an older american man.😊hope your good Alison,i learn alot from you.😊❤
In Portugal it is normal at this time of year to go to cemeteries to pay respect to our dead, this morning I went to my grandparents' grave. Cemeteries in Portugal are very different from yours.
So fascinating, thank you! Am I correct in thinking the Firth grave is connected to Dion Fortune ( Violet Firth)? I believe her family were wealthy industrialists as you were describing and hailed originally from this area. I may be wrong, it's a while since I read her biography. Super video as always. x

Samhain blessings to you and your Coven family x
I've been checking for this every hour or so all day! Glad you managed to get it uploaded, I'm going in... 😊
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! It took a while for it all to come together but I’m so glad it finally did! ❤@@mamajusmagickalemporium2655
What a beautiful video! Thank you! If i'm ever in the UK again, I will visit Sheffield for sure. My heart went out to you when you mentioned the audio debacle, you poor thing! But it all ended well. Blessed be, Alison, and Happy Samhain. xo
Ahh never mind, it all worked out in the end! I hope you have a very peaceful Samhain and I'm so glad you enjoyed the video xx
It was so special and I miss it so much! xx
@fifty-somethingwitch2406 me too, you're right about that smell, it was wonderful. Thank you for bringing g those special days back so vividly. xx
❤❤❤😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉
im 54 and live at southey green!. thnku for your videos . 🌌
Ahh bless you, my Mum loved on Piper Close at Southey Green until she got married!
Oh you are so welcome! I would love to visit the Necropolis. I follow a brilliant girl here on YT called Black Friday and she recently did a tour of it and I was drooling!! Have a peaceful and blessed Samhain xx
@@fifty-somethingwitch2406 Thanks I subscribed to Black Friday. She’s fun. 🖤🧡
What a wonderful video to watch. Next time I am in that neck of the woods I shall pay a visit. I am relatively new to your channel, but as a 50 something witch myself it is good to be a part of your community. Sending love xxx
It's so lovely to have you here! I do hope you manage to pay a visit to the cemetery, it's a very special place. Have a peaceful and blessed Samhain xx
Brilliant video, thankyou. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are so welcome! x
Wow, what an amazing coincidence! Such fascinating ancestors you have! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video xx
Yaaaaay!
Finally!!! 🥰🥰
And at my age, 60, it's been a very long and lonely life x
Thank you again Alison, much love x
I just love the idea of introducing your pup to your Mum and Nan - that's adorable. And I understand completely about feeling like 'something' is coming. It's not a good feeling. I really hope that Samhain brings us all some peace and comfort. Sending you so much love xx
Loved this vlog. Thank you. ❤️
You are so welcome!

" fifty seven year old virgin listening and watching "
Bless you darling, you are welcome here x
In Portugal it is normal at this time of year to go to cemeteries to pay respect to our dead, this morning I went to my grandparents' grave. Cemeteries in Portugal are very different from yours.
I joke that I think I was born in the wrong country 😅and I mean that and really feel that way!
So fascinating, thank you! Am I correct in thinking the Firth grave is connected to Dion Fortune ( Violet Firth)? I believe her family were wealthy industrialists as you were describing and hailed originally from this area. I may be wrong, it's a while since I read her biography. Super video as always. x
@@afewminutesofmagick you’re very welcome! I’d never made the connection but I will look into it and see if I can find out more! xx
