If you wet the back of the water paper, it will hold the sandpaper in place pretty well. Well it does on my marble slab at least, so I'd imagine it would work the same for granite.

I tried copperchloride and its just turning my brass into copper after a while. I don't think there is a stage where its all matt and like-brushed as in your video. Any tips?

неожиданно. Ожидал что-то более сложное и эффектное, но не акриловую краску :) я сам черню составом Brass Black от Birchwood Сasey, чернеет сразу же, если греть то держится очень хорошо. Одна беда - дороговато выходит, и то только потому что приходится заказывать с Ебэя. Но есть еще куча методов, самый простой из которых - серная мазь, ну еще и пары аммиака.

Thank you, you work is amazing. 2 quick questions, did you speed up the oxidation clip, is it that quick to turn black? Do you mix your own oxidation formula or is it a commercial product. Can’t wait to see the next project.
I use oxidation bought from jewelry stores, in the video I used it in its pure form, (that's why the darkening happened so quickly), but for a smoother operation I dilute it with water.

Yellow-green patina:
Sodium chloride 10%
Copper nitrate 90%
Patina from blue to yellow-green:
Ammonium carbonate 50%
Ammonium chloride 50%
As long as there are no scratches...there is a product called Brasso.....with a cotton swab you can polish brass to a mirror finish.

Я делаю патину в парах аммиака,или в самом аммиаке с добавлением сульфата меди.
Других способов не знаю.
В средстве от жира неплохо получается, если добавлять туда другие металлы, то можно получить патину разных цветов.
