Yo really wtf?
It's like he used to like skateboarding until he lost it so he collecting knives instead.
They changed it VF kids cause they couldn't imply anything too violent in the game.

I love the Virtua Fighter series. I feel bad for the series because it is rarely ever talked about in the fighting game community.
It's cause Tekken took it's spotlight. It's been hiding in it's shadow since the first Tekken game. But at least they rereleased VF5 though, which I'm happy for
@@vDeadbolt VF was more popular than Tekken up until VF3/Tekken 3. VF2 was very popular and was far better looking than Tekken 2 and was more refined as well. Tekken became more popular mainly because VF3 didn't have a home port for like 3 years because it was so graphically advanced that the Saturn couldn't handle it and SEGA had to wait until the Dreamcast. Meanwhile Tekken 3 had already been out on the PS1 for a year at that point.

Why doesn't Sega release a Virtua Fighter Collection already? I miss these games, they were my childhood, and Jeffry is my king.

Every fighting games 2nd installment is unmatched in any Series’ trilogies
Compared to other big fighting game series, Virtua Fighter really has smallest character roster.
THE Only Wishlist Virtua Fighter ever got Prior to VF5R's Release was, where's Taka?
Killer Instinct has the same problem.
And it's not a bad thing considering how much deep and unique each character is, the devs of VF gave prior to quality over quantity, and i can only applaud and approve this personally.
Because while being one of the oldest, it also had the longest hiatus, meaning it hasn't had as much time to grow.
We'll see if that changes now 🤷♂️
Virtua Fighter 5 R/Final Showdown/Ultimate Showdown has as many fighters as Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
Man VF2's character select will always be the most iconic to me, VF1's is a close second. But my FAVORITE was always VF4 Vanilla's. Gotta say tho, VF 5 Ultimate Showdown's is quickly growing on me to be one of my favorites.
Amazing stuff. The level of epic on Virtua Fighter 2 was really something.
Surprising that Virtua Fighter 5 R was omitted here - or even VF2's Saturn port, which had different models on the character selection screen.
That music gets me all pumped up for the fight!
Very few fighting games manage to do an awesome selection music like vanilla VF4. The "Stand" theme is just toooooo goood

VF5 Final Showdown & VF4 Final Tuned never had a New Characters, so It's not really something odd tbh

Where's VF5R?
The series would’ve 26 default fighters (excluding Dural) if Sega Japan gave AM-2 the extra budget and work force for Final Tuned (2), 5R (1), Final Showdown (2), and Ultimate Showdown (2).
yeah tbh virtua fighter should of had way more characters than what they have and also having dural playable im not sure if she is though, for me virtua fighter 2 should of had 12 instead of 10, virtua fighter 3 tb should of had 18-19 instead of 12 and virtua fighter 4 should gone into the mid 2's mark. maybe possible if the budget was right for them they could of gotten to maybe over 30 characters in 5
@@hcwwrestling1001 Adding four instead of the usual two fighters sounds like a good idea, and Sega would've taken a lot of risks. If Virtua Fighter is financially successful, maybe our ideas of their rosters would be a lot greater.
@@6arcsn1skythat true and tbh i always said to myself if they had sonic as a guest character in the game or a main character like yoshimitsu from tekken to soulcalibur. sega would of sold so much money with virtua fighter. it still baffles me that sonic isnt in any fighting game besides smash. i was hoping he would be a virtua fighter type character since vf is sega

@@hcwwrestling1001 If Sega puts Sonic in an actual Virtua Fighter game, it would be like Fighters Megamix without the other Sonic characters. A Sega character that can be placed in Virtua Fighter is Hazuki Ryo: he bears a more similar aesthetics to the series.

I've only played VF4 casually (and even then I mostly used Sarah and Brad) but from what I've been told, Lei-Fei was a lot easier to play in VF4 than he would be in VF5.

I never liked Virtua Fighter
A friend of mine had VF4 Evolution on PS2 and we played some Battles with a another bunch of friends. I remember i was the worst Player among them cause i just couldnt deal with this games feel and speed i rather prefered Capcom vs snk 2,Soul Calibur 2 and Guilty Gear X at that time.

I think it looks fine, compared to other fighting game logos though it definitely doesn't make me think it'd be a fighting game compared to like street fighter or tekken's logos

@@patoren3gou653 sure, but to go and make it as the worst logo in all of gaming? That seems a little exaggerated imo because there are other video games that have some pretty bad logos. Plus, the logo of the game doesn't make anything if its quality as VF is pretty fun
I disagree, i've always loved VF's logo, especially for the first 3 games. Maybe that's because i grew up seeing it all the time because i was always playing the games. Even being completely objective it's far from "the worst logo in all of gaming". I don't see how it's even close to that.
