Quick and to the point, Very helpful , Thank You!
The hits keep coming!
A great video Jim Thanks
Great video jim
good vid jim but I never remove the tie rod or use a pickle fork or torque the axle nut
I prefer to use a puller tool for the lower ball joint as pickle forks run the risk of tearing up the rubber boot. Also it’s a good idea while you are in there to replace the oil seal on the output side of the CV axle to avoid come backs. It’s a real pain if you get it all buttoned up and it starts leaking fluid.
Good video thanks
Pretty quick! It’ll probably take me 5 hours to do.
I’m up to hour 4. Had to get a new lower ball joint bc the pickle fork shredded my boot.
Hey Jim!
Nice ✌️
This CV axle replacement work is intimidating me, hot having my own garage and doing car work on a parking lot or somewhere, i am going have to pass on that. I see you're using big tools, hitting things hard. I've done drum brake replacement with success but never any suspension work, this looks noisy work and what can go wrong if something gets stuck. One thing that you didn't show was list of tools needed.
That's a cv axle
