All three of these ladies are legendary artists. The thing about Linda Ronstadt is that Auntie Dolly has said Linda in Dolly's view had the best female voice she had ever heard and that Linda could literally sing anything, and she is right. The members of the Eagles band started out as Linda's band, she's had hits in rock, pop, Spanish language, big band classics, and yes, she's even done light opera. Linda is worth reacting to in her own catalogue. Try Your No Good, Blue Bayou and then listen to her sing La Charreada with a mariachi band and you will be blown away.
Right on Dale. If it was my choice I'd pick "When will I be loved". Just a matter of taste but that's my favorite Linda song.
Dolly is multi-talented she can play any instrument you put in her hand. Linda has a powerful beautiful voice. but dolly is multi-talented and sings.
And of course emmylou Harris has a beautiful voice. They all 3 are Fantastic Bottom line.
I always said Linda was the female Elvis.
I'll soon be 70 years old and I forget some times that younger folk like yourself don't always know who these three ladies are but besides being amazing solo artists they also formed a group called, 'Trio'. Dolly is...Well, Dolly is Dolly, singer/songwriter/actress/business woman; and Emmylou had the sweetest country sounding voice of that era, sang with Gram Parsons and was a mentor to future female country music singers. Linda on the other hand was the most versatile singer of the later twentieth century and could sing anything and everything from light opera, to country, to rock, to great American standards, to traditional Mexican to...well, just whatever she chose to sing. Together these three, who put out two albums as Trio, just blew everyone away.
Emmylou Harris is in the Country Music Hall of Fame, Linda Ronstadt is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Dolly is in both.
The whole trio album is amazing, all three singers are just sublime and at this time we're at the top of their game. Linda on her own could match and beat anyone no matter the genre. Put simply they are angels walking amongst us.
they are amazing!
Such a great song, for three beautiful ladies. You don't get harmony, just anywhere. These ladies are an absolute legions of all time.
Dolly Parton's gift to you in this video is an introduction to Linda Ronstadt, who was arguably as great a female vocalist and performer as there was in the 1970s. It is always best to start at the beginning....with Linda, that is "Different Drum" and "Silver Threads and Golden Needles." Then, jump into her golden era with "That'll Be the Day," "When Will I Be Loved," "Long, Long Time," "Poor, Poor Pitiful Me," or "Back in the USA." Oh, did I forget "Blue Bayou," "Heat Wave" or "Just One Look." An amazing performer awaits you if you choose to take that journey!
Her rendition of Dylan's I'll Be Your Baby Tonight, just floors me every time.
Yes Yes YES. ⤴️
Linda also recorded several Spanish Language albums, mostly Mexican folk.
Linda was a Country/Rock gal singing what other people wrote. Emmylou (like Dolly) is a Country singer and songwriter. All 3 play guitar, but Dolly outpicks them.
Her version of Crazy is what lead me to discover Patsy.
35 Grammys between the 3 of them!!! This Trio was groundbreaking, and Epic in every way!! So glad you enjoyed this. Im hoping you are able to react to more of their music!!
wow ! that is insane! they are very talented!!
All these women are insane musical talents.
very true!!
They made two albums together called Trio and Trio ll. They are all excellent songs and you can’t beat them for harmony!! More Trio please!!! I recommend “High Sierra” 💜☮️👵🏼
Linda Ronstadt is probably one of the most legendary singers of all time.. she's at the stage of Iconic. Country, rock, gospel, blues, and Mexicana, she has done it all
The harmony really *is* unbelievable. Dolly can literally harmonize with anyone. I think it comes with growing up in a little mountain church; you learn to harmonize with everyone in the room for Sunday services. It's just *so* peaceful and beautiful , isn't it? Great react , as always , Britt! ❤
Linda Ronstadt was the 'BEONCE' of the 70s and 80s.
Some 11 GRAMMYS across 4 or 5 genres.
She filled so many arenas that the Ticketmaster of the time dubbed her 'Female Performer of the Decade'.
Country, Rock, Mariachi,, Operetta, Blue Grass.... She did this on her own against the wishes of the record industry.
She was also an activist.
Regrettably a form of Parkinson took her voice away about a decade ago. I believe the second Trio album was her last work. She was in the early onset of this when this performance was recorded.
You sure can't tell it though.
The 3 of them performed this song together on Dolly's show in 1976. They later collaborated together on a few albums. The first Trio album from 1987 is great & showcases the lovely voices of these talented ladies. Lots of great songs such as "To Know Him Is To Love Him", "Telling Me Lies", "Those Memories Of You", "Wildflowers" etc. They did a 2nd album Trio II in 1999. It also has many hit songs such as "After The Goldrush", "Do I Ever Cross Your Mind", "Feels Like Home" etc.
Great reaction, as always. Clearly, you are quite familiar with Dolly but, the truth is that all 3 are tremendous talents worthy of your time (and a reaction or two). I’m sure you will enjoy hearing Linda Ronstadt, whose career has spanned decades with a voice of both beauty and power and the talent to perform masterfully in essentially every musical genre. May I suggest Blue Bayou, Desperado, Long, Long Time, Love Has No Pride, When Will I Be Loved, Tracks of My tears, too many rock hits to list, American standards with Nelson Riddle, collaborations with Aaron Neville and selections from her albums of Mexican music honoring her father and her heritage.
Three of the pretties voices in country music. It's Linda Ron-stat. You always have an eye for what the ladies are wearing I suggest you check out Faith Hill Breathe (official Video)
Dolly is most beautiful ❤
I've been waiting for you to find Linda Ronstadt. I think you'll enjoy any song by Linda. She's even better live than she is on a studio recording but . . . "You're no good" is young Linda and "anyone who had a heart" is older Linda when she is at her most powerful and emotive. I would advise anyone to listen to Linda, you won't be disappointed ❤
Three goddesses of the music world. Dolly Emmylou, and Linda singing together is always a miracle to treasure. The Trio. 😊
Linda R is an American icon. No artist has had so much success across so many genres of music, NO ONE. From being the reigning queen of rock, country, American standards, Broadway and - still to this day - the largest selling non English album in US history when she honored her Mexican roots in album of traditional Mexican songs. She helped start the Eagles too. You’ll go down a rabbit hole if get started. Dolly counts her as best voices in history.
Greetings from Dublin Ireland 🇮🇪, love your reactions.
Linda Ronstadt is the power house singer amongst these three.
These three ladies are incredible in their own right but together…Omg!!! Gorgeous!!
facts !!! they are amazing!
Emmy Lou Harris sang solo & with many others Bob Dylan being one of them. Linda Rondstat also had a successful solo career
My favorite song by the three of these ladies together is called the sweetest gift Linda Ronstadt album prisoner in disguise. You should check out that entire album it is excellent!
Linda and Emmylou were guests on The Dolly Parton show. A bunch of years later they made 2 albums together Trio I and Trio II. Check them out
Took you long enough! These 3 are BRILLIANT!! They have a whole repertoire of beautiful songs.
Great reaction, Britt! I grew up listening to these three women sing. They are some of the greatest of all time! My personal favorite is Linda Ronstadt! You have to listen to her music. She can sing anything and has.
Dolly doesn't need to overpower anyone she sings with...she's just Dolly. She's an amazing human being on and off camera. 💜💜
truly
Dolly is a freaking legend she sings like a angel one thing people love so much about Dolly if she's so down to earth. She has a big heart.
I forget who said "There are 2 types of men... those who are in love with Emmylou Harris, and those who haven't yet met her."
All three of these ladies have clear, crisp voices.
Great reaction... again.
It was Willie Nelson and he was speaking about Linda Ronstadt.
It was Willie but he said it about Emmylou
@@biggistEmmyloufan You're right. I forgot who said it, (old man syndrome) but I did recall it was about Emmylou.
Been in love with her for 50 years.
Linda has got the Voice!!!
These three exceptional ladies released two albums together, under the name of "The Trio." Plenty of material there to dig into. Each taking their turns to lead on different songs. Try looking up "The Sweetest Gift" by these three, which never actually made it onto either of the albums but was sung by them on one of Dolly's TV shows. I think it was one their best together.
You should check out Linda Ronstadt's "Blue Bayou" and "Adios" and also check out Emmy Lou Harris's "Making Believe". We all know that anything Dolly sings is great, but Linda and Emmy Lou are also very talented.
I second the "Blue Bayou" and "Making Believe" recommendations. Additionally, I'm always touched by Emmy Lou's live performances of "Boulder to Birmingham", which is her lament to Gram Parsons after his death.
Check out Linda Ronstadt doing "Blue Bayou" or belting out "Mad Love". Shes awesome.
Legends. I listened to Linda Ronstadt so much I wore a hole in the record back in the 70's. And Emmylou's angelic voice when you're in the mood for some blue grassy feels. Living in the deep south of Louisiana Dolly was just a normal part of everyday so naturally I fell in love when this trio got together for their songs. Brings back my teen memories of having a beer on the levee (before I get crap for that, the drinking age back then where I lived was 18) I do not endorse teen or adult drinking.
But, yes I love it when you react to the music of my youth... best, by far, decade of music! 1970's even the disco music, although my younger self just cringed a little!
I love this trio because they sound awesome together, like they are sisters literally but they are not of course but they are legendary singers so they are sister of music 🙏
they are awesome together!
LEGENDS! The Trio is a must discover, alone and solo!
Trio - Sweet Memories
Linda - Your No Good
Emmylou - Two More Bottles of Wine
You must listen to this trio sing "After the Gold Rush"
Three of the Queens!
❤️💃❤️💃🏽❤️💃🏼❤️
All three of these women are legendary. Rightfully so, in my not-so-humble opinion. When I was kid, I thought this is what it sounds like when angels sing. But, now, I think angels WISH.
The Trio album is one of my favorites. Found it from favorite song wildflowers.
I have this cd. Also the cd with Dolly, Loretta, and Tammy. 6 legends. ❤❤❤❤❤
These 3 superstars released an album called Trio….it is PERFECTION. And they are all freaking amazing on their own too ❤❤
Linda Ronstadt is another rabbit hole. She's done rock, country/folk, pop and even Mexican music. Amazing voice!
wow! that is crazy! just shows how talented she in!
How do you not know Linda Ronstadt. She is a legend. Wow.
Linda Ronstadt- Your No Good she has MANY GREAT SONGS. Emmylou Harris- To Daddy ' or any of her great songs! Three LEGENDS
Dolly is an Angel on Earth. This could lead you down a rabbit hole. Emmylou is great in her own right. You should check out Red Dirt Girl by her.
Linda is also a powerhouse. You should check out Blue Bayou by her.
I would also suggest a group from Sweden called First Aid Kit. They were heavily influenced by Emmylou. I would check out their song called Emmylou. It's about trying to find a love like Johhny and June Cash, and Emmylou and Gram Parsons had.
Linda Ronstadt amazing.
Indeed!
She's always been my favorite singer's but if you really wanna hear are 2 great song's, bring your tissues their called....
Hello God....Rocking years..official video..Thank You for your reaction hope you have a blessed day 🙏 sending love from Lafayette Georgia 🙏🏻 🍑
Love all three. You really should check out Emmylou & Linda. My favorites for Emmylou (out of a ton of great songs) are Boulder to Birmingham, Pancho & Lefty, and her versions of Dolly's Coat of Many Colors & the Beatles' Here, There & Everywhere. Linda was a huge star (highest paid female rock star in the late 70s) with a ton of hits. My favorites are Heart Like a Wheel, Blue Bayou, and a Different Drum (the latter was really early on when she was with the Stone Poneys).
You should start checking out her movies. She's got a bunch of them. I just found my favorite one recently and bought it, it's called Smokey mountain Christmas and she sings throughout the whole movie. She goes off to a cabin to "be alone" and finds a bunch of kids who were homeless running from the law and probably there version of CPS back then and she takes them in and takes care of them and loves them... She really can do anything. She sings, writes, philanthropist, dollywood theme park, gives to charities, partners with United Way to give books to children each month up until their 5th year of life for free, movies.... She's a down to earth, loving, caring, giving human being and one we should all aspire to be. I would love to meet her, I love her so much.
Dolly not only plays guitar, she also plays banjo, fiddle, dulcimer, piano, autoharp, harmonica and sax and there might be a few more.
WOW! that is crazy!!
All three of them can play ☮️
Dolly can play guitar with insanely long nails and not miss a beat! 😂 Linda Ronstadt (on the right) has the most beautiful voice on the planet imho! Please explore her amazing catalogue. 🌺✌️
I just found something on Spotify called "The Complete Trio Collection" (Deluxe Edition) with Dolly, Emmylou, and Linda. It's comprised of 3 albums. Amazing.
Three iconic artists here. Dolly, Emmylou and Linda.
A singer/song writer I haven't seen you react to yet is Carole King. She's had something like 118 songs make the charts. A lot of the songs she wrote for other artists and others she performed herself. A good place to start might be, So Far Away from her Tapestry album. The Tapestry album is considered to be one of the greatest albums ever.
This song and your reaction makes me so happy
American folk singers at their best. You are right about Cinderella...Linda also has a very sweet voice.
Pick just about any song by ANY of these women and you will be hooked, I guarantee. ✌
haha they are that good!!
Must listen to Linda Ronstad!! Blue bayou. Live beautiful song 🎵
I felt that “PLEASE”😆
These three become one voice. Jim
You should watch them do " The Sweetest Gift". A+
Please react, please!
A deep dive into all of them is time well spent
Three icons right there!
You got your listen to Linda Ronstadt more often she's a great singer you ought to hear her sing mariachi music from her heritage Opera country music rock and roll standard music Lotsa Emmy Awards
So many Grammies on that stage it's a miracle it didn't collapse.
Love the hair- & you need to dig into Linda Ronstadt, she is an absolute legend! Blue Bayou. She can sing literally any genre you can name, including mariachi!
thank you so much! and wow! she is extremely talented!
They are magic together! Please listen to the Trio albums. I am a huge fan of theirs and have been for a very long time!
I would love to see you react to Dolly performing the grass is blue!
Everyone letting you know about Linda is, of course, right on target. An artist with a catalogue both wide and deep that you should without any question get to know. In the meantime here is the trio doing Neil Young's "After The Gold Rush". A great song sung by 3 great singers: ruclips.net/video/ykMzS6ugnPI/видео.html
For me she's one of the greatest under rated (by many outside of country music) true multi faceted artists! - As a Songwriter, Singer, and Musician! Plus effortless-looking/sounding beautiful harmonies and duets with other people, like she was their twin or partner! (She also wrote and sung "I Will Always Love You" that Whitney Houston sang!) that song I'm itself makes her a formidable Songwriter!! Oh and a great actress! And Philanthropist! Does SO MUCH for underprivileged kids and communities!
Just an amazing human being, and smoking hot/Stunningly beautiful when she was younger!
Her duets with Kenny Rogers are out of this world!
...She LITERALLY has EVERYTHING!
Great review! Cheers from London 👍❤️😉😎🏴🇬🇧
Linda is arguably the biggest star in that trio. Please check her music out
There is no better voice than Linda Ronstadt. No better soul than Dolly. No better heart than Emmy Lou Harris.
Together they are a love bomb.
Mariah Carey
Should do "Telling Me Lies" by this trio "Trio", excellent harmonies !
GREETINGS EARTH WOMAN: I think you'd enjoy the soundtrack to O Brother Where Art Thou, which has a Country/Blue Grass soundtrack. Lots of classics (Man of Constant Sorrow, Go to Sleep You Little Babe.) Emmylou sings with Allison Kraus.
The sweetest gift is the better cut from that show although that is great
The Trio! Three ledgends right there. Oh Ron stat.
You could spend hour upon hour exploring Ronstadt and Harris and you would need more time. They are exquisite singers. Now go do it.
I usually don't care for people's reactions. however, yours were wonderful!
I can't remember if you reacted to her "duet" with Pentatonix on Jolene. That's a great one to see if you haven't done so yet.
When Artist perform 2gether, (it is ART), that’s why, they’re who they are, all 3, in their own, are PRICELESS! But if U would lyke another suggestion, how bout Don Henley & Dolly Parton, When I Stop Dreaming😎👍👍😎👍😎😅
She also plays the Dulcimer, some play it on their lap with a feather.
After a long, extremely successful career in pop music, Linda Ronstadt blew everyone away with "La Charreada"
Linda Ronstadt is one the greatest vocalists of contemporary music. She and Barbra Streisand are IT.
Emmylou Harris is a goddess of singer-songwriters for the last 50+ years,
All three of these ladies produced two albums together Trio and Trio 2 over thirty years ago.
Please don't disrespect them and mispronounce their names. I won't say what else I think about this as my mother told me to be nice.
Please react to Linda Ronstadt Blue Bayou and You're No Good oh and the song with Aaron Neville.
If you haven't heard Dolly's version of 'Muleskinner Blues', do yourself a favor. Dolly is a treasure.
I'm a huge Dolly fan, but the one with the powerhouse vocals in this trio is Linda Ronstadt. She is the one who is having to tone down her vocals. If you reacted to some of Linda's songs you would figure that out.
The sweetest gift, is amazing song from these three ladies, please react to it.
I will keep it in mind, thanks! ✍️
Linda Ronstadt ‘s Blue Bayou .
You have a beautiful voice.
PLEASE look into some Emmylou. Boulder to Birmingham is fantastic!
These three together perform under the name The Trio.
Emmy Lou Harris sings Making Believe and many other songs are great.
Emmylou Harris is one of the great harmony singers and all round singers in country music. If you want to look into someone's career and just keep finding one great song after another, give her a try.
You should listen to the song "Early One Morning by Pernell Roberts
Please react to Linda Ronstadt- She is a super-star of my generation. May I suggest Long, Long Time to start. Her voice is both beautiful and powerful. Here, she is seated the farthest away from Dolly. Be well, Duke
Three superstars here
facts!
Trifecta!!!! 😊
for real!!
They did two albums together and all three are incredible singers. And Dolly could not overpower Linda Ronstadt. You need to listen to both of these others on their own.
ruclips.net/video/MeQyoTIQOOM/видео.html
You know Dolly, Emmy Lou Harris is a Country Star.
But Linda Ronstadt is the biggest star of this Beautiful Trio.
She played with the Eagles and kept growing in her career.
