It also depends on the way you land, if you land on both wheels flat - it is basically death sentence for any gta character. However, if you tilt your bike mid-air and land on front or rear wheel respectively - it can result in no-damage landing. Weird that you didn't test out all of those conditions, plus it's clearly visible that for some jumps you tilt the bike to reduce the chance of botched landing.

It actually has nice details but bike test was bad bc they gave mass and special psyhics for all bikes thats why niko survived some falls

GTA 5 had much better physics
In 4 an npc was sitting on some steps below my Niko I shot npc in the back of his head the momentum and elevation made him front flip NOTHING like that ever happened for me in 5 red dead 2 had good physics also

Bikes in Vice City do take damage from hard landings, they just lack visible damage model, so you don't realize their health goes down until they start to smoke.

Btw I kinda miss when some story npc s ride with Niko with they’re unique helmet animation and hate that they removed in GTA V

@@jonisalia15 Talking about npc s that ride with the player and only the player has the helmet on GTA V ( if stopped ) but in GTA IV the npc s put it on along with the player

2:31 is the time when Niko instantly dies from such a high building, because his head collides with the front of the bike. So he could lose very much blood on impact.
3:42 is the time when Franklin instantly dies from such a high building, because the forces between his seat hip and the bike are very large but sadly the helmet doesn't save him. So he could lose very much blood on impact. The landing is always very brutal in GTA V but less brutal in GTA IV.
I personally find Just Cause 3's bike physics in general to be really good. I know that cars in that game can be a chore to drive, but Avalanche Studios really made driving motorbikes feel like a dream, so for me, has to be the best.
Also, I think Grand Theft Auto games, from IV onwards, have the best ragdoll physics in any game.

GTA 4 was ahead of its time. I miss that era, gaming was so much better. Feels so distant now but only a few years ago it felt like yesterday. Funny how that works.

TLaD counts as GTA 4 it's just standalone DLC so same physics and shit, it's GTA 4.

In GTA, if you angle yourself so you land on both wheels, you and your vehicle will take no damage, you can do it with shift/ctrl (upwards/downwards respectively)
We all should know by now Tommy doesn’t take fall damage and is invincible 😂

I am not joking but in my case in Just cause 2 is the mission where we have to chase a person in a mission in a white limo we have to take the bike and go down the hill but to complete it fast i was just jumping off that hill with great height from a bike and always my bike would just explode and not be fine
Their a video about facts in glitches in gta 5 where u can survive a big fall with the bike and u have to be in a angle to not get damaged, I think it had to so something with frame rate
