I think "Armarouge" might be pronounced more like "arma-rooj", since "rouge" is a word for "red," AKA "scarlet," AKA the version of the game it's exclusive to.

Armarouge being called Armarogue is gonna be my new pet peeve, I think. It's rouge like the red colour. Not rogue like the RPG class. Pronounced /ruːʒ/.
Ceruledge - cerulean edge. Cerulean = blue.
Armarouge - armada rouge. Rouge = red.
God, same. Especially bc the descriptions of the Pokemon make it so that Ceruledge is the one that's more of a rogue-like RPG class, while Armarouge is more of a paladin type, caring about fair fights and all that. So "Armarogue" is like two levels of annoying to me. XD

The "Arma" part is from armor not armada.
@@AztecCroc I personally think it comes from "armament", which according to the dictionary is a word that refers to military weapons and equipment.
@@AztecCroc pretty sure it's more likely to be armada and armament which are related to military are rooted in Spanish. Armor could also be apart of if because pokemon loves cramming in a bunch of words in the name
The team star grunt battle gauntlet looks like they can be like 3v1 auto battles, kinda like those battles you could get into in Arceus. But they wont take a year because they are turn based. Instead they will progress more fluidly, and quickly.

I have a theory as to why Team Star is so large and has so many members.
In Spain, many students drop out of school early to go to work in family businesses, especially in rural areas. Because of this, Spain has one of the highest student abandonment rates in Europe. Could this be a nod to that?

I think the leakers have said there's a pre-evo that evolves into one of the two depending on the version so they're just normal pokemon

The auto battle is to let you use multiple Pokémon to fight multiple other Pokémon all at once rather than one at a time, it seems you’ll still be able to battle directly as well.
But it said you could only have one pokemon out following you

Team star has potential. Kinda like anti gym leaders almost. One of the pictures has three against 2 so maybe the battles against the grunts are more like horde battles which would be different. Overall I haven't been this excited for new games since black and white
They’re the same concept as Team Yell and Skull. Rather than organized crime, they seem to be disenfranchised groups of people that found each other.
They look better than Team Yell, but they were forgettable, annoying, and aggravating. Team Skull was an original concept but I’m honestly tiring of it a little.
@@vbarreiro yeah team yell is without a doubt the worst evil team. Team skull at least took over a whole town. Team star reminds me of motorcycle clubs with different chapters that use different types. I can't say they're gonna be better then the past but I have hope. We'll see when the game comes out
I have a hypothesis. At some point in the ancient past, humans invented an ancient bike, or some kind of primivite transport, which Koraidon represents. And now, in the present, Cyclicar represents the more common bike that we have today. Then in the future, we'll invent a more high-tech bike, which Miraidon represents.

I mean when you think about it, every evil Team in Pokemon has always had pretty boring battles. Lots of grunts, lots of pretty non-threatening Pokemon, but the idea behind it was sort of a strength in numbers sort of thing to help fill out the story/lore of the world.
If we can just auto battle the endless hordes of zubat/poochyena/etc that get thrown at me, I'm all for that. Make actual trainer grunt battles more meaningful, and let me just deal with the small stuff passively. I think the idea of auto battling oncoming hordes while running through a base feels a lot better than having to battle a trainer every few steps, or just walking through an enemy base where nobody but a few people seems to care that you're actually there.
Huh, I didn't notice it until now but Komala is also back from gen 7. Between this and gen 8, we could very well have all of the mons representated now.
I'm starting to think we are getting subtle hints to an India-based region. Like I don't know if Geeta is a name popular in Europe or something but that is an extremely common Indian name. Then we had Copperaja in Sw/Sh which is as Indian as it gets with the "Raja" (meaning King) at the end!

Ah wish I could relate. Gen 8 had a lot of misses but I dont think they were in the trailers, but with the gen 9 trailers I don’t like quaxly, cetitan, ceruledge or armarouge which saddens me

Because trailers try to get people to buy it, they will focus on what the majority wants. So don’t worry, there will be Pokémon you like, they might just not be in the trailers! :)

And
The Ceruledge Pokemon is inspired by Zero(Megaman Zero protagonist)(Who use uses swords just like it)
Both are inspired by them the only difference is the colours are swaped.😏👍

This made me re-check those leaks on gym leaders and yup it has Grusha and Brassius
I find it hilarious that Brassius has a literal Vine Whip and is the grass leader.
Also, the Pokémon company is definitely taunting us with the engine - the art makes it extremely clear it’s a Pokémon and the blurb makes it clear it will assist the bad guys in a fight, and PCI shared on all socials “you wouldn’t fight a car, trainers” without revealing any more details on it.
As for the auto-star battles what might be cool is if you had to send out one pokemon to auto-battle (taking it out of your party) pokemon that team star send out without the official battle screen, but then you still have to get through the grunts in a timely manner with your remaining team

I would just enjoy having more leaders like Blue, not a specialty, just a strong trainer.. alternatively Raihan being doubles/weather was cool.. sad he had to keep a facade of "dragon type" like.. he could have leaned more into one or the other
I love the headcanon that Drifblim has a fire terrastal type but the Pokemon league told him he wasn't allowed to use terrastsl Pokemon so he looks like a crazy person with Drifblim on his fire type team when really and truly it is occasionally a fire type

Armor Cannon isn't a fire type draco Meteor because draco Meteor lowers your special attack by two stages. Armor Cannon is more like a special attack fire type close combat. And bitter blade is a physical attack fire type giga drain

If you think about anger shell if you use belly drum that puts you to half hell and then anger shell will activate and that’s just overwhelming and overpowered
Assuming it gets Belly drum in the first place. TBH Klawf is more likely to get Shell Smash which is still great I guess.

They are supposedly "Totem Pokémon". Instead of calling them "Titans", the German version of the trailer supposedly had the same word they had for "totem" in SM/USUM.

I think the auto-battles for the team star grunt waves is there for a strategy point. I think it will allow you to effectively hold 6 battles at once. So I think you're meant to cleverly use your pokemon to take out as multiple oponents at the same time, while keeping an eye out for every pokemon's health. So I think there will be an element of strategy/thought/difficulty to it.
Ceruledge looks extremely cool, but I think I'd like it more if Chandelure weren't my favorite pokemon...
