I forgot to mention a significant reason why this flocking method is superior to the one I had shown previously: using this method you avoid all the hassle of painting the flocking and running it through a sieve. Quicker, easier, less mess and waste.
Just found your channel, I am glad to have found a good teacher for cardboard building. lol that fake metal washboard look with the inner side of the cardboard is genius,
Lots of great stuff in this. I note that the flocking, before its hit with a wash, would make pretty good looking straw, as in an animal pen or whatnot. Awesome work. Cheers!
Very nice Build! I had made a small tower a few weeks ago, Scrap laying around needed a home, its was Such Fun, working on a 2 x 2 diorama for gamer's.. New for me, but hope its works out! I love making stuff like this, keeps the mind busy!! THANKS Sir Bard! GREAT WORK! AS ALWAYS!!
Yes that also works. Might be quicker especially for large batches. However I do still like painting it afterwards because its possible to get different darkness/nuances on the grass. That's of course possible when using several different batches of "pre-painted" flockinh as well. Basically, everything works 😄 Thanks for the comment
Your stuff is really excellent bro! Keep up the amazing work! You have a really cool teaching style and very soothing on screen presence. More content please!!! 😃👍
I serve the algorithm. Nice work on the flock! I usually have problems getting flock/static grass to stand up after I have applied a wash. Did you experience the same problem here? If so, did you do anything to correct it?
The grass does not stand up for me due to the way I apply it. However it does remain fluffy. The grass only gets flat if I apply way to much wash. With a static grass applicator I don't believe the grass would get flat from the wash, but I haven't tried it.
Hi! What have you been listening too? I just found the dungeon synth and am loving it, that late eighties and early nineties stuff especially. Whats been in your background music lately?
Hey Lucas sorry in advance if this sounds cheesy but you are my role model, I love your crafts and If you want to see the craft that I made inspired by your dark forest scatter terrain then come to my channel! I’m putting it out soon!
I usually enjoy your work (and this build is no different!), but what do you mean by "politically incorrect"? That term has a pretty wide meaning these days. I haven't noticed anything particularly egregious from what I've seen of your stuff, at least nothing that I'd think you'd be getting censored or demonetized for.
Hail Politically Incorrect Brother! Do you think Odysee is a better alternative than BitChute? Is there a way to import your YT library? I have 100s of videos that I want to move to another platform.

I am not a model maker but I do love your work, I watch them while soldering electronics. Thank you!
The grass is great, but I really love the hints of color on the metal.
When life gives you rope, you make grass!
Great video man, it makes my day!
I have been doing the blue wash step on my rocks now and I love the extra depth it provides
This came out better than the last one... I like the terrain piece too! I love it!
I wonder if dipping the rope into the wash before cutting it would work well, would have to let it dry out again but it might be worth trying.

Great video. Love your rusty look corrugated metal paints. Thanks.
Oh my, you are easy on the eyes. Handsome and talented.

Thank you for sharing ... Love the blue and ease of the build ...

Man, I just love this!
Ahhhhhgh. You have moss on your rock AND snow. I’m so jealous.
Fantastic work as always, love the eldritch foundry newsletter promoting your work too!
Fantastic!
Good idea to set up an alternative to RUclips.
And nice build! Looking forward to the wash recipe.
Everything you make looks great and your videos just get better and better.
Orks would definitely approve of this build, nice one!
Brilliant work. I always make my flocking the way you showed us. It’s brilliant x
Very good idea!
Very cool tutorial - thanx for sharing
Great scrap watch tower I will build one or two soon thanks for great channel to watch
WOW AMAZING.
I 3d print everything nowadays ..but I still love a good junk build video.
That's freaking awesome man
Nice vid, as always.
You should try to tint the hemp rope before cutting it to grass flocking

Damn that flocking looks better then the woodland scenics stuff I purchase. Great work man, keep it up!
I wish my hair was that long in medieval style!
Can't say I'm entirely sold on the flocking as living grass... as dead grass/straw though it works brilliantly.
Really cool!
Just finished my own scrape watch tower
thanks bard Form Bart im going to to do this also
Tis is great! I want to give this ago! Thanks heaps for the video 😊
Good luck!

Great video, but I really love the trendy "Viking" image you are portraying ! Love the sweater mate.
I think i was waiting for a "go flock yourself" the whole video ! ^^ great technic, thanks man.
Nice video, watch tower looked great!
my main material is always (no oats) cardboard :p, the bark looks great I wish I live near a forest🌲
wow amazing, how do you make the glue dry quickly? is there a trick?
briliant
Buen trabajo👍👍
Totally shows the epic power of quick build post apoc terrain items! With the oil washes - I must give them a go - do they take a long time to dry?
They dry in under an hour
@@BardsCraft excellent - the richness of the colour in the wash is epic. I’ll add them to my crafting arsenal!
Im new.totally..tho pushing 80....whats a static grass applicator...
Love your content.
love it!!!!
Nice frostgrave cultists man👍
Thanks. Frostgrave cultists are the best!
What are the brand of your minatures?
Hi bro i love your film you are the best

It's not even right, those corrugated pannels look amazing and it's just cardboard!
super!! :-)
what is it called that you cut for grass
Hi! What have you been listening too? I just found the dungeon synth and am loving it, that late eighties and early nineties stuff especially. Whats been in your background music lately?
The music info is in the descriptions
Where are those miniatures from? I really like the one with the crossbow
Cultists but... ^^'
There is a video where he paints them, might have the references
I love scrap towers
Where did you get the sweater bud?
Some thrift store
BEYOND peasant level
isn't making grass flocking out of hemp rope, just making grass out of grass? lol
So what's the use of Odysee? I didn't really get it ^^'
Potentially better monetization (also for viewers). No sensorship and general bullshit that RUclips and other big tech companies pull off.
Hey Lucas sorry in advance if this sounds cheesy but you are my role model, I love your crafts and If you want to see the craft that I made inspired by your dark forest scatter terrain then come to my channel! I’m putting it out soon!
What is odysee?
A video platform like RUclips but there's not as much censorship and corruption going on
@@BardsCraft hmmm, won’t be joining odysee. Looks like it’s a haven for right wing conspiracy and misinformation.
Why do you use oil paints when making washes? Why not regular hobby acrylics? You say you like them more, why?
They have stronger pigment and flow very well into textures and cracks. Acrylics work okay as well.
@@BardsCraft Ok, cool. Thanks for the fast response, your channel is awesome!

It's better and more promising. You can get all your videos over to Odysee within a few clicks!
@@BardsCraft Cool, I will check it out this weekend.
any one else gettyimg loads of replies on thier comments from dodgy accounts?
