It doesn't need to be quite that low. 2" would have done it. The L488 looking tail lamps are nice, but the original "clothes iron" ones are awesome.

I’ve got a XK140 FHC. I like this example but it’s far too low. Makes it look like a toy car when scales next to people. Otherwise it’s a lovely job

Lack of ground clearance would make it undriveable on ordinary roads.

A Komplete Imbecile ! Turned the pore XK120 FHC into a mid'50s Lead Sled . Stupidly lowered .. shaved and Of course: fitted with twin exhaust. . Typical of El Segundo customs of the time. Surprised it wasn't Chopped and Channeled.
