As a Notre Dame fan, I'm ecstatic. we finally beat Georgia as well as won a true New Year's six bowl game. Alot of people don't take into account how bang up our team is and finding out how special our players are stepping up. The only thing we need is depth in receivers.
I am ecstatic that Notre Dame added to the humiliation of the SEC. I loved watching an undersized and shorthanded defense maul the big, bad Bull dog OL. I do think that if James Franklin can get out of his own way, Penn State can beat Notre Dame.

I know it's really surprising hearing all of this talk that they can't score and Leonard can't throw. He truly is a dual threat qb but when ND is up he throws a lot less to limit turnovers

Relax. The Big Ten has laid waste to the SEC. The SEC, including Georgia have been exposed as paper tigers. They are competitive among themselves and not the Big Ten. I do appreciate Notre Dame humiliating exposing Georgia. Notre Dame was extremely fortunate to draw the Big Ten's one paper tiger (Indiana). Texas might have had the softest route to the semifinal. That being said, I think that the spread is correct. If Franklin can get out of his own way (admittedly, that is a big if), PSU can win this.
The two best teams they played are also likely the two best teams this year, Oregon just had a bad day, but were #1 for a reason. ND is PSU’s 3rd best team they’ve played this year; however, PSU is likely ND’s best opponent this year. PSU got lucky with their path, but ND had the second easiest path here. Indiana was a sound, but untalented and slow team and Georgia was dysfunctional in many aspects leading into the game vs ND, and especially in the game vs ND.
@@Jay-pd9kc it’s more arguable that PSU is better than UGA (with stockton) than it is to say that NDs defense is better than OSUs. Also, Allar is pretty good at presnap recognition with blitzes, id bet money that Stockton’s inexperience in leading an offense was a massive part in the amount of times he was pressured. Now, PSU couldn’t finish drives against OSU, but they moved the ball down the field enough to win that game. Should be an interesting old school game, super nervous but ready!

I've heard A LOT of talk all across platforms about Tyler Warren. I imagine him being so focused on and pulling so many eyes that it might open up some blown coverage on the outside or even take eyes away from Singleton/Allen on wheel routes or in-motion. Obviously, he's probably still gonna have some catches, but I Imagine him pulling attention similar to what Boise did to us. They had a 30+ yard catch because of Blown coverage where a linebacker abandoned the TE to help with Jenty. Maybe use him as a skapegoat
Penn State as one of the fastest receivers in college football ..but ithe used to be a high school quarterback ...number five omari Evans the guy who catches the Deep balls runs a 4.2 ..he has blazing speed and Harrison Wallace their number one receiver number 6 is pretty decent ...it's not only just Tyler Warren plus they have the best running back tandem in the country.. with both backs eclipsing a thousand yards this season!! Katrin Allen being the bulldog and next Singleton being the Blazing speed home run hitter... even Drew will make some plays with his feet when necessary... the problem is Penn State has to play great defense they have a tendency to miss tackle sometimes if they play solid defense they will Breeze to Victory Notre Dame runs the ball successfully they're going to be hard to beat... if they can make them one-dimensional and have to pass... Williams at RB. lately hes just been NDs 3rd down back. but he is the irishs best pass protector and reciever. he just doesnt have the pop of price or the explosiveness of love. If Love is healthy i wouldnt mind seeing what he can do as a reciever in space .At the end of the day. Price is a man on a mission so im ok with him in the backfield.
Don't sleep on Notre Dame. They may have several injured players but their back-ups play hard and fast. I guess you can look at ND as a rag tag bunch of 2nd stringers but they have come this far nothing in concrete saying that they can't go all the way!
PSU can wear them out if they just pound the rock. The 2 backs are both healthy and we will run 2 TE sets - And we actually have 3 great TE's. Dinkins and Warren can really block well. I don't think the depth for ND is there for 4 qtrs against the over-performing PSU O line.
This is the path. PSU run game vs Irish beat up D line. I think they will be able to generate yards there causing ND to have to load the box opening passing opportunities for Allar. I agree it will be a tough game but the weapons for Penn State do enough to move on.

i know ND special teams has something up their sleeve if not multiple plays. i hope it doesnt backfire. but so far the aggressivness of freemans coaching has been fun to watch. A FAR cry from last year . when he was outcoached on multiple occasions.

I have a feeling that someone not widely known will be key for Penn State. If ND focuses much of their attention on Tyler Warren, look for sleepers like Liam Clifford and the other young TE Luke Reynolds to emerge. I think the OC has held some packages that haven't been needed to date.

Analysts have been giving credit to teams for beating overrated SEC teams all season even a Georgia team with a QB starting his first game. This isn’t the same Georgia team, ND pretty much blitzed every play. The SEC has done nothing but lay eggs all Bowl season.
Their back up is a 5 star QB that finished the game and beat Texas earlier in the year. Let’s not act like Beck was someone special either. A good college QB, not a difference maker. He’ll be lucky to be drafted in the 4th round. Their back up is more talented, just not as experienced.

Because PSU is shrank in every big moment ever. No one took them as a legitimate threat ever. They got BSU and SMU which everyone agreed was the easy half of the bracket and knew they were just going to stroll to this point. Now everyone’s acting like PSU is some juggernaut. I got Irish by 11. Freeman has that team playing at another level. But PSU will have 2-3 explosive runs great backfield. Allar is getting terribly overlooked in this matchup. I think PSU has better players but Freeman is the better coach.

PSU receivers don’t have to get huge separation because Drew puts it right on target

Played Fr. in key roles to preserve players. They won before the games were over and had already moved on to the next game strategically and mentally. Golden even straight up admitted it after the IU game. Why do things/show things that you don't need to. Just to "prove" that they (a top 3 scoring offense) can score?! I have a feeling that someone not widely known will be key for Penn State. If ND focuses much of their attention on Tyler Warren, look for sleepers like Liam Clifford and the other young TE Luke Reynolds to emerge. I think the OC has held some packages that haven't been needed to date.

it's all about who's getting hot at the right time. I'm taking PSUs RB room over ND right now by far. While not as mobile, Allar is a significantly better QB as well. Let Leonard run for 60 yards and throw for 130 - that won't beat PSU. Then you got Tyler Warren & Abdul Carter on top of all that? I think people are forgetting PSU could've easily won the game against OSU and even still it was a 1 score game. PSU by 7, no idea why ND is getting so much love against them, totally different leagues
Because PSU is shrank in every big moment ever. No one took them as a legitimate threat ever. They got BSU and SMU which everyone agreed was the easy half of the bracket and knew they were just going to stroll to this point. Now everyone’s acting like PSU is some juggernaut. I got Irish by 11. Freeman has that team playing at another level. But PSU will have 2-3 explosive runs great backfield. Allar is getting terribly overlooked in this matchup. I think PSU has better players but Freeman is the better coach.
