I believe that he was calling those plays to challenge our offense because they knew we had the game in hand. Even JF said in his postgame that they were trying to challenge the players in those instances. So let’s pump the brakes on “PSU can’t lean on their strengths on offense”.
ND allowed the best running team in college football maybe a little over 200 some yards and still smoked them, and that's Army,go look at their stats and what the rbs were ranked, let's be honest Penn st doesnt have enough weapons to win,ND will still find a way to win it,running, throwing,or defense

Stockton played almost perfect… Beck would’ve played even worse lol ND beats UGA regardless of the QB. The QB probably played better than everyone else for UGA that game
Georgia wasn't good and was on a backup quarterback😂😂😂 does nobody want to talk about this?? Georgia is not Penn State I'll tell you that much!.. Penn State woulda beat Georgia 45 to 7.. to be honest probably more
There's been one game this season where Notre Dame hasn't forced a turnover on defense. It was Northern Illinois. They lost. Their offense can't move the ball downfield against top competition. I think they only amassed, what, 8 points against Georgia where they had to drive the length of the field? To me, they need too many things to go right to pull out a W. Penn State doesn't. Offense struggles? They still win. Defense struggles? They still win. Can't kick field goals? They still win. QB1 goes down with an injury? Still win. Notre Dame hasn't shown that, and they haven't faced a team of Penn State's caliber yet this season.
ND never had to stretch the field because they’re always so dominant. it took PSU 2 OTs to beat USC.. ND beat them by 2 scores.. it took UGA 8 OTs to beat GT.. ND beat them by 3+ scores.
Both of them have the tendency to choke in the big games. Penn state has a coach that can never win the big game. ND has a coach that got beat by a Marshall football team that should have never happened. ND head coach lacks experience in big games. Both teams on paper mirror each other in a lot of ways. It could go either way, i think as always it comes down to turnovers.
The Sugar Bowl showed he can perform in big games. Marshall was his learning season 2 years ago. I don't know how that's relevant to the current state of the team.
@DCSk8er529 He beat a Georgia team that isn't anywhere near what they have been. Starting a true freshman qb for the first time. ND Starting qb had under a hundred yards passing. ND running back is starting but isn't 100%. Penn states #1 defense player isn't at 100% it could go either way. I don't care if it was his first year, no team as big as ND should ever loose to a small school like a Marshall.
@@nathanstrickland6508So, here we are making excuses for UGA…!? Stockton is a sophomore…..not a true freshman. He’s very familiar with the offense. This is the same QB that helped UGA come back from a deficit to beat Texas for the SEC championship. Leonard hasn’t exactly been lightning it up via the pass this year. So, 100 yards or less isn’t anything new. They know how to navigate the offense with those types of passing numbers. ND is freakin’ ravaged with injuries and is MISSING two of their best defensive players (TWO All Americans! Morrison and Mills) the other All-American Cross ALSO isn’t “100%”…..I won’t even get going on the o-line and all the injuries! This game absolutely could go either way and we could spend a ton of time “comparing scars” amongst these two teams. “Big teams” can lose like anyone else. Either team can win... one good thing about this playoff is the final round or two these teams are pretty evenly matched... but Penn State would have never lost to Northern Illinois😂 not even with their backup quarterback Beau pribula even if he started.. they still would have won😂
Dont matter how many games yall lost two rite that was our only lost
They were 1 play away from losing to bowling green that same exact day
lol, Franklin hasn't learned the lesson. Joel is right as a PSU fan. Unfortunately, they have done enough this year for it not to matter
IRISH WINS ☘️☘️
lol, you know a practice knee brace is much bulkier than a game knee brace, right?
I'm inclined to think PSU will win this in a tight one.
Cmon Joel!! Be better thn that.. you saw1st 5mins. If ND allowed video out, they're not concerned or they want tht out.. JD is a starter everywhere else..
No point in Carter, love playing 70%…hot take: I think there’s more points in this game than you think
The coaches that have won a national championship was done in their 3Rd Year, I am just saying. Marcus is in his 3rd year.
Really? Cause I'm pretty sure it was Kirby smarts 6th at Georgia, nick saban was in his 9th year at the college level as a head coach, and plenty of others.
Notre Dame blows up penn st…
I got Penn winning by 45
@@kych2008u sound crazy on what defense
😅😅😅@@kych2008
This guy is a ND homer… PSU 23-16
This guy hates nd
GA would have beat PSU 60-0
Klatt the PSU hater 😂
I don't think he's a hater. He isn't ready to pick Franklin till he is proven wrong. I don't blame the media for picking ND since they had their big win and we haven't had ours yet. I mean a big win over a true blue blood. Hoping that changes this week 🤞🏽
Klatt has picked against the Irish numerous times this season. At least 3 times he's picked against the Irish
@@Aart.Vandelayready to pick freeman despite his big losses vs the powerhouses Marshall and NIU
@@johnvillella1087Look at Freeman against ranked teams. Your cheap shots are invalid points. Nice try.
Hiw many of those ranked teams were real good? How many OSU, Oregon teams? Navy, Army, Texas Fraud &M? PSU would had ran the table against that schedule.@DCSk8er529
All of a sudden... Joel thinks Notre dame is a great team.
The love talk is funny much of the season Notre Dame has ran by committee using as many as 5 rbs a game all of which would be starting elsewhere
💥
LFG! Irish by 10+, ND forces multiple turnovers and does enough on offense despite Warren having a big game
Want PSU, suspect ND...
This wasn’t about ND AT ALL.
Joel talked EXCLUSIVELY about Penn State. Terrible analysis. Not a thing about ND.
ND 31 PSU 6
😂😂😂
Let’s go
Your comment says “translate to English “😂
Penn State 69-7
Penn state is tired of the disrespect. They are going to manhandle ND. PSU 27-14
Watch refs allow NDAME to HOLD SO ESPN CAN GET OSU VS ND….. PSU NEEDS TO WIN CONVINCINGLY
I’m just going to take the under
“i think Jeremiyah Love is OnE oF tHe BeTtEr BaCkS iN tHe CoUnTrY” 🤔 what you mean bro, he’s easily a top five back, not “one of the better” ones
Stop all that freeman bootlicking. He ain’t got any further than Kelly. Kelly was in BCS championship game and same point final four here twice
Notre Dame is all football, boise state had one of the worst offensive lines and some of the worse tackling in the country.
Notre Dame 24-14
The ND defense is getting zero respect
their offense looked pretty meh against Georgia (only 244 yards) but the defense is good, I agree
Klatt!? And I guess Jeremiah Love is all we have in the backfield.🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Just like aww their without Mills, they don't have the rush anymore. 😏😏😏😆😆😆🤗🤗🤗 Keep riding with that Klatt, you Big 10 bias form of finebaum of the SEC.
Can I just put this out there. Everyone is pin pointing the play calling against Boise and yes it was frustrating but with all of Kotelnickis play calling do we really think that he’s stupid enough to just be calling these plays because we are still trying to grind a win out? I believe that he was calling those plays to challenge our offense because they knew we had the game in hand. Even JF said in his postgame that they were trying to challenge the players in those instances. So let’s pump the brakes on “PSU can’t lean on their strengths on offense”.
Georgia started a high school QB Notre Dame only passed for 90 yards
ND allowed the best running team in college football maybe a little over 200 some yards and still smoked them, and that's Army,go look at their stats and what the rbs were ranked, let's be honest Penn st doesnt have enough weapons to win,ND will still find a way to win it,running, throwing,or defense
I want ND to win as badly as the next fan but please don’t compare PSU to Army
@dutchislax14 omg,I didnt compare them, but the rbs are similar, and just as athletic, that's all i was saying
@@rodgermiller8980 Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton are similar to Army's rbs? Yeesh you really haven't watched them play all year or know anything about this team.
Let me get this straight. You are saying Singleton and Allen for PSU who will both be drafted in the NFL are similar to the 2 Army RBs? And then using this to back up your point? Are you serious? I don't know who will win this game but this is a laughable comparison.
@clarkg5946 yep, sure did,it wasn't a comparison of draft picks or nothing like that,it was a small comparison of how ND's defense will play the running backs,no matter it will be a close game,no need for ignorant comments
Notre Dame's running backs are good but not as good as Penn State's running backs
What that suppose to mean
What that suppose to mean
@@andrebriscoe9949I think it means that Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton are better than Jerimiyah Love and Price
Cap price is #1 in the country yards after contact and love is #3
Notre Dame is not some power… beat a weak Georgia team and weak schedule and USC and Louisville games were close until very end. More offensive power for PSU and better passing game. PSU 23-16
Then next week it will be they beat a weak Penn State team and have no good wins
Didn’t Usc take Penn st to OT ??? Now all of a sudden the sec champs who beat Texas 2 times are weak 🤣 bruh cmon
Penn State fell short when they beat Ohio State and won the big ten? James Franklin and Trace McSorley? I guess nobody ever wants to remember all the big ones James has had😂😂😂😂 I can't take the media serious when it comes to Penn State because James Franklin and Joe Paterno are very outspoken about the problems of college football everyone loves to hate on them and Ohio State beats everybody not just Penn State nobody beats Ohio State LOL not on a regular basis and James has done it plenty of times😂 nobody ever wants to remember those I guess they just never happened he didn't win the Big Ten like three times as head coach😂😂 except he did... the narratives people try to create for a story are pretty hilarious I think it's time to give James his flowers
Plenty of times ?? Franklin has 1 win over osu his entire career at Penn st and he has 1 big 10 championship….. you don’t know ball
I'm kind of surprised Joel didn't pick PSU given how bullish he and many other analysts seem to always be about them. But I'm here for it 👍
Joel hates Penn state dude, get hip
What???? He talks nicely about PSU but then out of the other side of his mouth he's picking the other team to win.
Penn State has exactly zero impressive wins and have played multiple close games against terrible un ranked opponents but all the sudden they are world beaters because they got past a one dimensional G5 team.
This game won't be close.. PSU wins by 10+

What u smoking on
Xavier Watts does need help against Warren
Adon Shuler, the other elite safety, is very good against TEs.
@TheLearningCatalystCoach he's a beast for sure. A little shorter than Xavier is my only concern against the jump ball
@steveatwater4364 height is always a concern for food college safeties, you're right. But, Watts and Shuler are both 6-0(maybe just look different on screen).
No he dont
Penn State 28- ND 17
I am going Penn State. Georgia was in the game against Notre Dame. What hurt Georgia no QB. I believe Beck would have won them that game. Not a fan of either team. Taking Penn State. Especially everyone betting Notra Dame. Vegas not letting you all win over them.. 😅
You do know half of ND's defense is out with injury. right? If anybody has excuses it's ND. Beck isn't great either.
@hehateme542 but they have depth with good players. Qb is the most important position on Field. Stockton is not good at all. Beck definitely would have won them the game. I made a killing betting Notre Dame last week .. I am only going by what I saw in last game for both teams. My opinion. I am not emotionally invested in either teams
Seems like people who are intelligent and actually watched football this year are picking PSU. Klatt has never picked PSU so while I guess he has football intelligence, he's a PSU hater.
Stockton played almost perfect… Beck would’ve played even worse lol ND beats UGA regardless of the QB. The QB probably played better than everyone else for UGA that game
@@jfeaser270it took PSU 2 OTs to beat USC.. ND beats UGA regardless them by 2 scores lol we said the same thing about UGA and Georgia Tech.
Georgia wasn't good and was on a backup quarterback😂😂😂 does nobody want to talk about this?? Georgia is not Penn State I'll tell you that much!.. Penn State woulda beat Georgia 45 to 7.. to be honest probably more
That's hilarious... do you even know that ND is out 7 starters and 2 of their best are not 100%... Georgia lost an ok qb that's backup played better
Lol
ND never had to stretch the field because they’re always so dominant. it took PSU 2 OTs to beat USC.. ND beat them by 2 scores.. it took UGA 8 OTs to beat GT.. ND beat them by 3+ scores.
ND will lose

Penn State 26 ND 23
Both of them have the tendency to choke in the big games. Penn state has a coach that can never win the big game. ND has a coach that got beat by a Marshall football team that should have never happened. ND head coach lacks experience in big games. Both teams on paper mirror each other in a lot of ways. It could go either way, i think as always it comes down to turnovers.
The Sugar Bowl showed he can perform in big games. Marshall was his learning season 2 years ago. I don't know how that's relevant to the current state of the team.
Marcus Freeman has won tons of big games already lol
@DCSk8er529 He beat a Georgia team that isn't anywhere near what they have been. Starting a true freshman qb for the first time. ND Starting qb had under a hundred yards passing. ND running back is starting but isn't 100%. Penn states #1 defense player isn't at 100% it could go either way. I don't care if it was his first year, no team as big as ND should ever loose to a small school like a Marshall.
@TechPanther7 Who?
ND isn’t the first and they won’t be the last!
