COLOSSAL Full Body Workout - Strength & Cardio | EPIC Heat - Day 39

  • Strength, cardio, core, coordination, endurance! It’s all in this full body workout! Hamstrings, quads, glutes, shoulders, back and arms targeted in this full body dumbbell cardio and strength workout!
    Low impact options are provided should any hops back to plank occur so perfect if you prefer not to jump at all!
    For this workout you will need a pair of dumbbells and a mat!
    The dumbbells I am using are 12.5kg each!
    The timer will be on for 40 seconds of work per exercise in each giant set with 40 seconds rest between each giant set! Lots of volume indeed!
    We perform each giant set 2 sets!
    1 1/2 REP LUNGE
    1 1/2 REP LUNGE
    1 1/2 REP SQUAT
    1 1/2 REP RDL
    ARNOLD PRESS
    BENT OVER ROW
    RENEGADE ROW
    TRICEP PUSH UPS
    SNATCH (all same side!)
    STAGGERED SQUAT
    STAGGERED RDL
    360° SQUAT WALK
    PUSH PRESS (all same side!)
    UNEVEN SQUAT
    SQUAT TO PRESS
    X1 DUMBBELL BURPEE
    RENEGADE ROW TO PUSH UP
    PLANK TO CURL
    PLANK TO X2 SUMO SQUAT
    MAKER!
    This is a demanding session but we have got this!
    Giant sets all focused on upper body, lower body or full body movements! We will work hard for just over 30 minutes!
    Give it your best shot! And always remember, it SHOULD be challenging!!

    2 X 30lbs (used 25's for Arnold presses only)
    Difficulty 9.5/10. WOW! I looked at the workout in the description and told myself I would probably have to drop to 25lbs for the last 2 or 3 giant sets, but I did it! I used the 30lbs the whole way through (except for 1 exercise, the Arnold presses) and I am SO proud of myself. I never thought I would be able to do makers, snatchs and plank to curls with 30lbs. I felt so strong today and I am just on a high. I've been working out for so long that it takes a lot longer for me to increase my weight and this is just a testament to how if you push yourself and stay consistent you CAN eventually up your weights. This workout is killer! Giant sets are one of those formats that I love to hate, they are soo challenging for me, much like complexes. But Caroline is right, they do make the time pass quickly. This is one of those workouts you do when you really want to push yourself and feel strong and amazing afterwards.

      Hi Erin...great comment! I’ve just finished this workout...and it’s certainly a tough one! But I powered through all the moves fine! Just a few months ago I’m sure I’d have struggled with parts of this! I have definitely got so much stronger in working out with Caroline! Hope you enjoy the workout as much as I did! Matthew

      Although I have been doing sport for a long time and believe that I am doing a lot of things right, I think that the additional information about dos and don't has an enormous added value. I try then to do the exercises even more consciously and even better and it also shows how important we are to Caroline, because she does care how we do the exercises.

    Thank you for breaking down the Maker in that last set. I’d been doing the curl at the bottom wrong this whole time (I wasn’t really doing a curl, but more just standing up) but thanks to the demo can now do it correctly!! I really appreciate you taking the time to train in addition to leading an awesome workout ❤️

    I am so jovial by doing this workout as I saw myself super confident, super strong and the way I did the whole workout was truly me v/s me as I have never felt so amazing ; the way I had increased the limitations little higher for weights again and made myself surprisingly super comfortable with those higher range of weights which I hadn’t thought before to do. We all are truly so fortunate to come across CG MAM 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😘😘MAM, lots of love from the whole CG family 🙏🏻❣️

    I always say that to me “YOU CAN DO ANYTHING FOR 30 MINUTES “ time is a problem to me but when I see it is just 30 minutes, I don’t think twice to do the workout.😊😊😊

      I say the same thing but for shorter periods! Whenever I feel like I’m going to die during a move and see there’s 15 seconds left, “come on Mary, you can endure or do literally anything for 15 seconds!”

Thank you so much once again gorgeous lady loved the whole ensemble, I love colours, think they denote happiness!! Have to commend Caroline how she always trains in a minimum space area, hence emphasising how we do not need to have vast home areas to do what we do, and may I add, do it well!     The whole body is very well worked. I love the makers. But be carefully: do it with a straight back! The first round I wasn‘t bc I want to be fast. No good idea. Quality for quantity like Caroline always say👍🏻 thank you for this workout Caroline.

    I thought I was not going to enjoy this as I struggle mentally doing long sets; however the 40 second breaks made it feel really do-able and I it went really fast.     This session was epic... Omg I was sweating bullets!! Toward the end I was getting fatigued and for the last set I dropped down in weight... I finished and am proud that I did!! This really kicked my butt!!! Have fun with this and yes you will be a sweaty mess!! 🌈🌈🌻🌻

    I did it!!!! Usually for my shoulder I use 15lbs and drop to 10lbs due to the arthritis, torn Rotator cuff and prior surgery, the latter in the right shoulder. But today I used 20lbs for the whole thing!!! You all inspired me. Everyone pushing themselves, no excuses. I am still struggling with the cardio and have not done any of the HIIT as I have tried and am near passout with anxiety and mild Emphysema. But!! Again the but, today I didn't stop until the Makers when I just did bicep curls instead.. I want to thank all of you for inspiring me to push myself.

    I’ve never been so happy to workout on my birthday! Having your videos for the past months has really been like a gift for me and I’m very proud to kick into my 20s by knowing that I’m making progress and for the first time in my like I’m watching my body looking for muscles, non complaining because I don’t have a snatched waist

    I did this again today after Epic heat we did last year.. What a workout that was!! Enjoyed every bit of it!! It was extremely killer, intense and sweaty session right from the beginning!!     Drenched in sweat!!!!! My palms and hands also get SO sweaty holding the dumbbells for so long😅 I used 4kg each allllll the way I’m so proud!! And I only paused 2 times throughout the whole thing which is HUGE for me. I remember when I needed to stop several times. I’ve gotten so much stronger during EPIC HEAT I’m so very grateful for you Caroline. I can’t imagine my days without your workouts anymore. You’re apart of SO many lives now❤️⭐️

    Thank you so much for all your workouts. I finally find pleasure in being strong and I grow mentally and physically. I have always had a good condition, but no muscles and I was terribly weak. My arms got stronger and I am not dying after lifting even 8 kg for one arm(which was a great struggle for me, I could not lift more than 2 at the beginning). I also got my six pack after a year with your abs workouts. Nice music gets me going every day! Love you Caroline!

    After 4 nearly 5 weeks of being off exercise with a serious back injury. I’ve finally been able to get back into it! I had just started epic heat with everyone when my back became a problem. After much physiotherapy and recovery I can finally do workouts again ! I can now do half an hour a day meaning I’m catching up on epic heat !! Thank you Caroline for these amazing workouts. Hopefully I can soon get back to my daily hour routines

    This was great! I love dumbbells HIIT workouts and this was almost a dumbbell HIIT workout, but I did it with heavier weights! I think my body really likes this kind of workouts... have a wonderful day you all, we finally got the sun back here in Switzerland for this weekend! can't wait for some movement outside :)

    Caroline you’re simply a genius at what you. When I read it was cardio and strength and previewed the workout, I was like I don’t see any cardio. After the dust giant set, my heart was almost jumping out of my chest and I was like ding ding ding.... there’s the cardio. Did all the workout with 25lbs but for the plank and curl. Couldn’t curl with my 25s so I used my 15s for that one.

    I loved those sets. They made time fly. I am so impressed with Caroline’s push ups. I do tricep push-ups on my knees. So motivational with the smile and strength. Also I like the less frantic pace unlike some other well known trainers on you tube. With Caroline’s workouts I’m noticing some real results. This is a cardio session too and no frantic pace is necessary. Thank you Caroline!!

    Few weeks ago I asked why there’s no specific abs day in the schedule and now (I’m seeing a nutritionist) in my results I’ve lost 700 gr fat in my belly area 😂 (also gained 1 kg muscle in my full body) I really shocked and understand better why we don’t have a day that focusing only abs it’s basically because our core is in the middle of everything and most of the moves we use our core even if we don’t realize it. And other important point is eating enough protein👍🏻 and once again thank you Caroline ❤️

    Oh Caroline! This was a tough one, yes?
    I managed the entire workout with a heart rate of 175 and a 12.5 kg.
    Except for the last set. I couldn’t curl a 12.5 kg😣..
    I resorted to my ready prepped 7.5 kgs to complete the curls and the maker!
    Other than that, I absolutely loved the sweat.. Oh boy!
    You are not taking it lighty with us🙂..

    I got sick a week or so into epic heat and ended up 5 days behind. I've been doing an extra workout (instead of an active rest day - still been taking one rest day before each HIIT session) in order to catch up and I finally am back in real time with everyone today! Yay! It feels so good to be working out with you all again! Thanks, Caroline! This one was killer, but actually one of my new favorite full body workouts. I wanted to drop to lighter weights for the last giant set, but I put on my big girl pants and pushed through. 😀

    EPIC HEAT 39/39!!! Finally heading to the last 10 days!!!!! Have been super stressed at work and life so haven't worked out since Monday... Today as first day back don't want to stress myself out so only choosing to use 15lbs weights and yes I finally felt I am myself again! Looking forward to more challenges in the next EPIC HEAT, yay!!!!

    Holy moly felt that one Hardly made the makers had to decrease my weight load. My lord how Caroline done all that with 12.5kg. She is absolutely amazing ❤️🌺❤️

    Happy Friday All! My body was sore this week but I pushed through for this one using 10kg. I modified one or two including the finisher and like the slow and steady moves. 🏋🏾Tomorrow I will celebrate with the 1 million workout to start my holiday weekend. Thanks Caroline and for those celebrating Memorial Day, enjoy! 🎉🎊

    Great workout Caroline. Just finished the workout,it is afternoon though. Everyday, I get impressed by your innovative ideas. Doing 4 exercises in a row and increasing the exercise time to 40 secs is a simple but interesting modification. Thanks a lot.

    Yeiii! Done! You are getting better on the advisory, none of these days I have felt injured after a workout.

    I am looking at your Epic Heat full calendar realizing there are 2 weeks to go! WOW! I've done Epic 1, 2 and Epic Heat and I soo love Epic Heat bec it's short on time but intense and I don't even want to end. Did the Constant Cardio yesterday and the 1M celebratory workout and today's workout looks demanding as you've said! However, I can't miss out a class!!!!! Thank you Caroline for getting us addicted to your workout!

    Great format hitting every single muscle and I appreciated so much the instructions on form at the beginning ... in the past I had the tendency to round my back in many exercises and with Caroline my form is becoming better and better!

    After training with Caroline for one year now, this colossal workout made me realize how far I’ve come, able to do all those movements with increased weights AND With a smile....well, most of the time 🥴
