Seeing her at Miss USA I was a bit confused how she won her state title but after seeing her state pageant I understood why she won. Apart from answering the final question flawlessly she was glowing and her stage presence was undeniable. A well deserved win and congratulations for putting Texas back in the semis after two years.

Quick question so as always they say the 1st runner up will become miss Texas if the winner can’t complete her title or wins Miss USA , so back in 2008 when Crystal Stewart won miss USA and Brooke Daniel's was 1st runner how come she didn’t take over that year as miss Texas but was allowed to come back in ‘09 and win the title??L 😦😦😦😳😳😳
It could have been two scenarios. 1.) The pageant could have offered the title to Brooke, but she opted to compete again instead. This happens, but some ladies decide to compete again. If that happens they go down the line until someone accepts. 2.) The pageant was already set to happen and there was no need to have the runner up to step in.

I see Danielle Doty (Miss Teen USA 2011) and Alejandra Gonzalez competing. Gonzalez would go on to win Miss New Mexico USA the following year.
