Having soft modded 360 exploit would not only have more people modding their console. There will also be more people willing to make homebrew apps for 360 or optimizing their apps more, like the ps1 360 emulator
I agree, although in my opinion this far into the life cycle it is not worth waiting for a softmod If that's the only thing stopping you from homebrew access.
The problem would be actually booting the patched nand image to bypass the hypervisor (the thing stopping you from running unsigned code) without a hard mod of some sort, which has never been done to my knowledge. I'm sure though it'll be done some day, its just a matter of waiting for someone to do it
I've RGH3'd a couple of 360s; it's not expensive or difficult; one point needs a bit of skill and care. Now, if only we get a mod to cover the Winchester board, we'd be set...
Those proprietary 360 hdds are SO stupid. At least you can use external usb drives for most stuff and only very few games (mostly games that were released near the end of the generation like bf4 and mgs5 which are also on ps4/xbox one) as well as og xbox games actually require the internal hdd. Luckily it's not as bad as for example the ps5 where the main storage is soldered to the motherboard.

@@MrMario2011 it would be. From what I understand, we need the private key in order to sign applications... But it's encrypted. Usually the public key is the encryption key for the private key... So since we now have a hypervisor exploit, it's theoretically possible to get it...
