Man, that Uber driver was absolute gold. Bless his heart. All the wisdom we lost in knowledge. His advise could have been better. “Test her since is not about loving you but about hating your current girl, her name? Emily? Ok. Ask her to be nice to Emily. Let’s see if she can lose face to Emily for you.”
That would be easy for her to do if she knows the end goal is getting Mikey away from her. I don't know if they already decided how it's going to go next episode, it's 50/50 in my mind but if Claire is still manipulating and she is at that level, there would be nothing she wouldn't do to get what she wants. But in my mind, since it's clear he doesn't really care about Emily that much, he should just go through with it. What Claire does afterwards is the ultimate test. One way or another, this way he can finally move on either with Claire or from her, since at the moment he is still hung up. Better regret having done something (trying with Claire one last time) than always wondering what if.

"I can be friends for another ten years, can you?" Read the room, man. That statement right there translates into "I had control over you for years, but it's not you I miss, its the control and nonreciprocal adoration. You, dont actually mean crap to me." Funny how the woman in the room has the biggest balls... dropping that little gem.
Brutal, but that’s what I thought too. She’s manipulating him. He didn’t fall for the dress thing, so she had to flip the role and make HIM the desperate one by telling him that she “can be friends for another ten years”. She’s an incredible actress in these segments. It’s a hint of villainy in a seemingly genuine gesture of breaking through the friendzone. Hopefully Mikey comes to his senses on the way to Emily. READ EMILY’S TEXT AGAIN MIKEY! SHE GENUINELY CARES ABOUT YOU!!
What makes this even more tense is all the previous episodes showing how manipulative Claire is, now we are left wondering if this is a genuine version of her or just the good old manipulative one, the only RUclips channel with such good character writing, they could just have relied on sex-appeal, but instead they use that to lure you into genuinely good acting and story, thats rare.
To be fair, IRL, not sure that matters. If you've spent so much time being that badly manipulative, then too bad, you already had your second, third, fourth and even fifth chance and blew them all. No point wasting a perfectly healthy relationship with someone putting in the efforts to make it work.
I don’t feel like we’re supposed to wonder if it’s genuine, it seems very very clear that she’s still a manipulative demon that’s going to go back to being his “friend” as soon as he breaks up with Emily.
@@Balisades But he didn't act on it yet, and is starting to be have massive trust issues. If he pushes Claire away even after she told him what she just did he's redeemed in my eyes ! Shit fogs your mind man fr you’d be surprise how common this is.
The girl who friendzoned me (my best friend) messaged me 3 months after we drifted away and wanted to be my girlfriend. 3 days later, she said this isn't working. It just doesn't work. If she didn't love you at first then she never will.
Been there. I dated a girl in college for nearly a year. One day she told me that a guy friend she'd had since childhood had confessed feelings for her. She couldn't stop thinking about it. She had to know if they could be something. So she broke up with me. They didn't last 3 months as a couple. We tried to make it work again after...but it wasn't the same. It couldn't be. If it could happen once, it could happen again.
During my bachelors years at uni I was attracted to a girl there. We knew each other, but never actually befriended each other. I’d had a few relationships during my 4 years there, so this attraction was just there. Then, next year after graduation we were at a party, and for some insane reason it clicked for her. Well, for that one night at least. Next two months turned into a freakshow of getting closer and driving apart, until I got my shit together, came to terms with the fact that she just did whatever was needed to keep me in the friendzone, *I’was not even the only one guy she’s been doing it to* - and severed that connection completely. Around that time I met another girl online, a month later we got together and spent the next 2,5 years together. Only thing is - they turned out to be friends, and maybe I should have reacted to the red flag that was my ex not seeing anything wrong in that other girl’s behaviour. *But I just kept a note of it for later.*
Oof! Sounds like my first "girlfriend". She ended things like 1 week in. I was devastated. She then pulled me back and forth for some time and it took me a loooong time to get out of such a toxic relationship.
Did you guys go to film school or what? The production is 10/10, the writing is insaaaneee, the acting for all the actors is stellar. This is so impressive. Brings me back to the RUclips era when creators actually put serious effort into their content.
A lot of these sketch comedy groups did go to film school or get some kind of education. That's why they eventually make short films or long films. Joel haver, that's a bad idea, almost Friday, etc.
What makes this series so amazing, is that its so relatable. We all have our own version of „Claire“ in our life. Almost like a sketch about mental health. Keep up the good work.
The Uber guy was a lifesaver, he was trying to save him from a calamity and an endless loop of torment yet Mickey wasn't thinking logically with his head but used his heart emotionally, it looks like seeing is beleiving.
Between the lines, Claire is honestly a really tragic character. She's so insecure with both herself and her connection to her "friend" Mikey. It seems she only thinks she can feel safe with him while manipulating him as if she doesnt trust him fully to go all in if she does love him, or alternatively, she needs his approval as a man with ideals and commitment to someone else to feel desireable. When Mikey wasnt full on supportive, i think this "i love you" play is full-on desperation in maintaining her ego. We never see her express any self-love, nor confidence in her relationship with Blake. She gussies herself up, but her friend points out she doesn't normally; could she really be putting up a facade for everyone and be truly a sadist getting off of Mikey's misery? I doubt it, but hey we never know what these writers are gonna throw at us. Dont be Claire not just because it's wrong and hurtful; dont be Claire because you deserve better than 1) hinging your worth on others, and 2) if Mikey was actually worth being with, he would have stayed firm (ha) and said no. He's a perfect foil to Claire's "i need what i cant give myself," a slave to "what if" and ungrateful for what he has.

Dude I'm not even 3 minutes in and I had to pause. Leaving out the fact that claire is manipulative for a sec, being in love with someone - like so in love that it physically hurts - but you know that you'll never be with them, so you end up with this genuinely cool person who has been nothing but awesome and supportive towards you, and for a time there you've actually convinced yourself that you're happy. But then that one thing happens. Maybe you run into an old shared friend on the train, maybe you're scrolling through your photo reel and you come across memories you prefer to have remained forgotten, or like in this video, you have this perfect dream of that person and it just feels so real, and so much more right than whats going on with your current partner, till the bubble bursts and you wake up to the somber conclusion that you will never get to feel this way in your waking life... I don't know that everyone has had an experience like this, but if you had, the beginning of this video feels like a gut punch.
I've had a similar experience, and I still feel the same way. I've just recently developed the self-awareness that things didn't work out because I was the problem. Me and her didn't date, but it really could've gotten to that point if I just picked up my sh*t and just waited it out. I mean, she didn't date anybody throughout all of HS while we were friends. It's far too late now, though. Me and her recently reconnected somewhat and were texting a lot, catching up on each other's lives, etc., but she stated that she's in a relationship that she's genuinely happy in.... so I just unadded her right there. If she's happy without me in her life, I should keep myself out of it. It still hurts making that decision, but it was the best thing for her
He does, but I also feel sorry for him because it feels like he is being played. Yes, he is playing with Emily's feelings, but the dude was so confused and lost.
@justified004 Any grown adult with decent morals knows you shouldn't cheat on your girl with a manipulative chick who friend zoned you. Mikey is a simp who is too far gone.

I had all the context and knowledge I needed when I watched it blind the first time, but now knowing everything that's come before makes it ten times as painful to get to that ending! Please, god, let Mikey grow a pair in this next installment! Please!

Well said!!!
In the histroy of all friendzone, there has been no friendzone which was converted into relationship
Mine did, for like 5 months, and i wish it never happened because i guess she forced herself into it after i gave her an ultimatum
Later we were back as friends, and now we stopped talking, it's been a month
At least she wasn't like Claire, she is just stubborn and conflicted and stopped dating

he deserves all the pain and suffering Claire is going to unleash on him. He went to Claire on day of his anniversary- who does that. Hes using Emily as a back up option- cause hes too coward to be alone.
I'd feel more for him if it wasn't abundantly clear to him that Claire is lying and if it were only himself he was hurting
And we're just watching it spin around into a beautiful oblivion...

if that's what you have to say about mikey, imagine what EMILY's heart is gonna go thru in the next ep
Rip Mikey. He’s about to go through the worst time in his life.
Mikey was like, "This comedy sketch series is getting in the way of my soap opera"
fantastic soap opera.
Man, that Uber driver was absolute gold. Bless his heart. All the wisdom we lost in knowledge. His advise could have been better. “Test her since is not about loving you but about hating your current girl, her name? Emily? Ok. Ask her to be nice to Emily. Let’s see if she can lose face to Emily for you.”
a great performance too
The problem is Mikey already disregards Emily completely. Bro didn't come to Claire's house just to stay friends. He welcomed that outcome we got.
@@alex86fire Pff, She can’t even stand the name of Emily. She envies her. Envy is not about wanting something from someone else is about not wanting others to have it. Is not about wanting Mikey, not about winning, is about hurting Emily because she dared take away her toy.

These skits/series always keep me tussling on whose work i appreciate more the writer or the incredible and enchanting actress she is and her delivery but then the guy with all his pauses within the dialog and sudden nuances like gulping and such and his relatability and total and serious weakness he has in his heart for emily which shows and the chemistry between actors sometimes i think this works because of actress and sometimes actor and sometimes writer everything is emaculate and nicely done with all the little details love the work keep doing
"I can be friends for another ten years, can you?"
Read the room, man. That statement right there translates into "I had control over you for years, but it's not you I miss, its the control and nonreciprocal adoration. You, dont actually mean crap to me." Funny how the woman in the room has the biggest balls... dropping that little gem.

Jeez
Brutal, but that’s what I thought too. She’s manipulating him. He didn’t fall for the dress thing, so she had to flip the role and make HIM the desperate one by telling him that she “can be friends for another ten years”. She’s an incredible actress in these segments. It’s a hint of villainy in a seemingly genuine gesture of breaking through the friendzone. Hopefully Mikey comes to his senses on the way to Emily. READ EMILY’S TEXT AGAIN MIKEY! SHE GENUINELY CARES ABOUT YOU!!
It is a challenge from a puny woman, that no man should ever lose to...
as soon as you go ooga booga coomer head, you lose😂
The Uber driver is by far my favorite character in this skit. Need to see more of him in future skits
@@devilblackdeathin this case, it's not a healthy relationship already as dude is fixated on the idea of Claire still.
@@Balisades But he didn't act on it yet, and is starting to be have massive trust issues. If he pushes Claire away even after she told him what she just did he's redeemed in my eyes ! As far as we know it's still a pretty early relationship. I agree this is not healthy to be clear, but he did nothing inexcusable yet, unlike Claire.
For all we know shes just manipulating her friend and she knows that dude will hear her and its just an act
This is amazing but as the old moniker goes-
"If it seems to good to be true, it probably is!"
She will convince him to set fire to Everything he owns and once he has,
she will leave him to his island of ruins because it was all about control.

i love the way these are constructed with us actually shown what they are talking/thinking about its sick af
The girl who friendzoned me (my best friend) messaged me 3 months after we drifted away and wanted to be my girlfriend. 3 days later, she said this isn't working. It just doesn't work. If she didn't love you at first then she never will.
Damn that's rough, very true words though
*But I just kept a note of it for later.*
ouch

The Uber guy was a lifesaver, he was trying to save him from a calamity and an endless loop of torment yet Mickey wasn't thinking logically with his head but used his heart emotionally, it looks like seeing is beleiving.
Just close your eyes and repeat the mantra
"Attention is her oxygen
Validation is her currency
Accountability is her kryptonite"
This really isn't a comedy anymore but I'm more invested than ever before
Between the lines, Claire is honestly a really tragic character.
He's a perfect foil to Claire's "i need what i cant give myself," a slave to "what if" and ungrateful for what he has.
couldn't have said it better
But she's so hot tho

Who’s here after the finale? That Uber driver was sent from God Himself 😂😂😂
I may not have had the exact experience that you've described, but I know that feeling, and I just wanted to acknowledge you for sharing it.
This series packs a deep punch for sure
I have had this exact experience. This video hits so well in a not very pleasant way.
I had that feeling in a dream comparing it to real life seems like real life is a nightmare😭
It still hurts making that decision, but it was the best thing for her
We're supposed to hate Claire but Mikey is the one that needs his ass kicked. 😂
He does, but I also feel sorry for him because it feels like he is being played. Yes, he is playing with Emily's feelings, but the dude was so confused and lost.

Why do I have a weird feeling that Claire KNOWS Charlie KNOWS Mikey and that he was taking a dump leading to her purposefully spilling her guts to her roommate about Mikey knowing Charlie would then tell Mikey about it!
That's what makes this all so difficult. Maybe this is another scheme of Claire's, maybe it isn't. Either way, Mike is pretty screwed, man.
