Discover the remarkable features of the Signature Kitchen Suite 36-Inch Induction Cooktop in this comprehensive review. This cooktop offers exceptional functionality, including a powerful nine-inch, 7,000-watt center burner, perfect for rapid boiling and large pots. Additionally, the cooktop features two flex zones that can be bridged for added versatility.
One of the standout features is the seven-inch touchscreen control panel, which makes operating the cooktop simple and intuitive. From bridging burners to adjusting power levels, the touchscreen is responsive and easy to use. The cooktop also includes a convenient pause button, allowing you to step away from the cooktop and resume cooking with ease.
One of the most unique features of this cooktop is its ability to determine the compatibility and quality of your pans. By holding down a button and placing a pan on the burner, the cooktop can assess if the pan is induction compatible and its ferrous content. This feature ensures optimal performance and efficiency.
Signature Kitchen Suite is a premium brand under LG, known for its reliability. With over 37,000 service calls, SKS is one of the most reliable brands on the market. Additionally, the SKS cooktop comes with a three-year complete warranty, providing peace of mind.
While the price of $4199 may be on the higher side, it is in line with other premium units like Thermador Liberty and Miele, which do not offer the same features as the SKS. If you're in the market for a top-of-the-line induction cooktop, the Signature Kitchen Suite 36-Inch Induction Cooktop is definitely worth considering.

Very nice. I wish induction cook-tops came in other colors besides black. GE has a gray one that's pleasing to look at.

So when you recommend a certain appliance are you only speaking about that size or are the same benefits available in other sizes, such as a 30 inch model?

Gaggenau released the Essential invisible induction cooktops, do you know when it will come to the US and should I rough in my island for it?

A friend bought an induction cook top and discovered that when he lifted the pan to flip the food, it turned off. Very annoying. He went back to gas. Do the new induction cooktops still do this?
    Cheers, Peter

What I can't understand is the aesthetics of higher-end induction cooktops.
You wanna spend €/$ 3,000 on an induction cooktop - they look exactly the same as a el cheapo €/$550 induction cooktop.
Given premium appliance customers want both aesthetics AND performance one would think more would be offering more attractive solutions. The only non "black sheet of glass" I have seen is the Viking 5 Series.
    Thoughts?

Capacitive touch controls are an instant deal breaker for me. No physical controls = No purchase.
